Thank you! You will still gain it if the digimon dies to a security digimon but NOT if he dies to an option due to the timing window for security options going off.
You can activate Takuya's effect to tuck sources and then choose not to warp into Emperor. Then he just evoed into Agunimon as if it were a normal tamer. It was a pretty common thing to do back in BT7 with Red Hybrid.
No you are not forced to evo into emperorgreymon, so basically takuya allows himself to be seen as a lvl5 for an emperorgreymon, but since hand knowledge is an unknown in digimon, you aren't forced to go into the lvl6s. And since the lvl4s (all of them) specify on their own cards that you can treat any takuya as a lvl3 you can basically digivolve into a lvl4 ignoring takuya treating himself as a lvl5. It's essentially digivole canceling, since you can trigger the effect even without an emperorgreymon in hand. Koji works the same way. But it's not nearly as good. I hope this explained it for you!
@@Its_rully what does that have to do with anything? The effect should only let you evolve into emperor. If you do not have it, you should not be able to activate the effect. The card clearly states “Do X to do Y”. It is as clear as day, and despite that, Bandai decided to not go with it
