@@alispeed5095 ex rank doesn`t always means highest. It`s basically "can`t be measured" rank. Which also applied to unstable parameters or those things that simply cannot be compared with another things to give them proper measure because of how unique they are.

This version of Gilgamesh is also younger than he was during Zero, since he drank the potion of youth after that war. So technically, we're dealing with a Gil who's personality is most likely from his pre-Enkidu period of life. And it's only made worse by the Era he was summoned into being one that he hates. Thus, you have Zero Gil's arrogance, mixed with a loathing of the current humanity, and combined with a personality so bad that the God's technically hand crafted a best friend for the guy to go fix it.

Here is the thing about it -> Hercules wouldn't have been able to do that turning into a full god. Even if he had access to Ex rank divinity and as such, Immortality, the chain wouldn't let him go. In which case, killing Illiya would have been the go to to solve the problem. To be able to break away from Enkidu, Hercules REJECTED his divinity for a single chance to murder the prick and failed not because he couldn't, but because Illiya died before he could reached him.

Yeah, important to note Alcides isn't regular Archer herc, but rather Herc alter. Herc Archer would still have God Hand and Nine Lives, rather than King's Order. He also wouldn't have Reincarnation Pandora, which was something he gained being corrupted into an Avenger. He'd put up a better fight, sure, but as long as Herc has to defend Illya, there's no hope of him actually being Gilgamesh. Also, even Alcides probably couldn't win. Tiné saw Gilgamesh fighting Alcides with From Hell and was convinced he wouldn't even need to use Ea to win. It was only because of a certain individual that Alcides managed something resembling a win in that fight. Even if she was wrong, the fact he had the upper hand against From Hell amped Alcides means he'd crush him without From Hell. Gilgamesh is just stupidly strong.

@@PhantomNull13 Yeah, honestly even with the whole "Weapons made from man can't hurt him through the Nemean Lion's pelt" thing Gilgamesh could still kill him with any of the Divine Constructs that he has. Or honestly even something like "armor piercer" or "pelt tearer" might be able to tear through it. Even if only by technicality of one of the Phantasms doing some sort of spatial warping to not actually hit the Pelt.

Oh no, Gil's math was spot on. Here was actually dead, and bound by unbreakable chains. Him getting back up and free was impossible. It's just, impossible is more a suggestion to Heracles. Turns out, Berserker is in fact the strongest in the world.

But do the Einzberns know anything that comes after "killed"? I was under the impression they didn't, otherwise their actions seem somewhat counter intuitive to their over all goal. @@AscendtionArc I can say i got a little carried away with the statement that they know how holy grail is cursed to corrupt every wish, though they had to know something was wrong. Becose servants like Gilles De Rais Caster and Medusa Rider were summoned since those two are not heroes but anti heroes or villains from their history.But the Einzberns do know a lot about Angra Mainyu since they did summon him in the third Holy Grail War, but they probably would not have known that he was communicating with Illyasviel that is true.

Also the thing about Shirou either saving Rin or Saber which shows that he isn't a heartless monster like what Illya thought about him. She has some...preconceptions about Kiritsugu and by extension Shirou when she comes to Fuyuki due to her upbringing. Alas she only learns the truth about Kiritsugu in Heaven's Feel (although off-screen she probably does in Fate, too).

In the context it's used in this episode, Alcides is simply Heracle's human name. It was the name he was given at birth, and he was named Heracles later. Regardless of servant incarnation he's always both, he just uses different ones sometimes.

And the problem is that both are servants with a very large arsenal, without having previous knowledge of their total abilities, the fight is very complicated, because it's a new thing after another, making it difficult to adapt and counterattack, and Gilgamesh has a huge arsenal, the biggest among servants. Alcides only discovered new things about the GoB in their second fight, where they both fought more seriously, and that's why in the fight he was surprised several times. Nobody would have guessed that Gilgamesh can summon shields and natural elements from the GoB, because he had never done that before. Then it's revealed that he has the hydra's poison too, even if it doesn't make sense, since the hydra's poison is not exactly an NP, but these rule changes always occur in Fate, and Gilgamesh is Nasus' favorite character, so he will always buff him. Well no, it's a passive skill. Basically he sees ALL possible paths, Options A-Infintiy. Only 1 path is the true path and its up to Gilgemesh to decide which path to follow. He chooses to ignore and path where he may die or fail.

Well considering he's 3/4 God and 1/4 Human who was meant to be an adjudicator for Humanity, yeah he basically OWNS everything

Herc's lives can't be taken all at once, except for Ea, and he would keep charging forward while being skewered by weapons launched from GoB. I'm not saying Gil couldn't beat Herc with GoB alone, I'm saying he'd have to get creative about it.

Gilgamesh without EA is unable to take multiple lives from Heracles at once, he needs to take one at a time. And Heracles can beat Gilgamesh, but in his Berserker class it's very very difficult, because besides being irrational, he only has the physical strength to fight and his God Hand, against Gilgamesh who can throw hundreds of projectiles from everywhere at a long distance is a huge disadvantage. Also, the fact that he had to protect Illya also limited him too much, there were moments he couldn't advance or dodge, because Gilgamesh kept aiming at her, he was stuck in a certain area of ​​action, that if he broke, she dies.
