Looks like Alex has a red Stumpy goat. Nice ride and conditions looked firm and no dust. Hitting my local loop right now. It is 18 degrees with just a dusting of snow. Crispy goodness.
Recovering from back surgery wishing I could be out riding. Living vicariously through your vids, thanks for dropping them! That ride looks incredible.
I ride it weekly and the bottom half is very flowy and in my opinion it is the most enjoyable trail in the Phoenix Metro. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Hawes used to be my home trail system when I lived in Mesa. I try to visit every winter or spring. Love all the new trails. Excellent shred clips. Cheers
Another nice flow ride and video Nate . A couple of close turns or run into cactus on that ride lol some at knuckle level . I hope that is one accident I never have happen
That was sick boys! Love that trail, between the exposure, the boulders, and all the cacti, a person wouldn't want to run off an inch. Dig the track time in the bimmer, looks like you got the best out of those tires, haha. Cheers!
I loved racing with NASA SE! I was surprised to see the intro lead into that, thought I clicked on the wrong video, ha..Found mtbx late in life and it has been a fine substitute for my racing days. As always, enjoying the vids! Btw, my the avatar is from the Daytona Farris wheel.
Alex races with two local AZ clubs, NASA and Proautosports. He wins a lot of races and is great as a coach as well. I met him through auto racing and he told me he is a Mountain Biker, I said, "yeah me too", but he's a bit faster than I ever was. Like a lot of bits.
A run down from the radio towers to mid-Hawes, Saddle (maybe Secret too), and then down Mine trail is a classic run. I hope we get to see some of the older trails too! The new stuff is solid though. I snapped a pivot bolt (on my Pivot....haha) on one of the sharp right handers on Iron Goat last spring. Those jumps are great fun though. Was worth it.
Nice! 1) Did you get a chance to try out the new double black Sunset Ridge Trail (I think you keep going straight @ 1.13)? If so what did you think? 2) Generally speaking how do you find the "kitty litter"?
Sunset is entertaining in a janky sort of way. The kitty litter feels pretty normal for Phoenix but it definitely takes a few turns to remember the squirmy feeling.
Yo Nate....just came across your channel and been watching a ton of your vids the last few days! Killer footage man! Question for you regarding gear and shooting. What view mode on your GoPro are you shooting? wide? super view? and are you using the horizontal leveling? chest mount? 4k 30fps? Thanks!
@@alexptdmg depends how many track days a year you do on a daily driver. Also, you're not utilizing a tire's potential when your burning up the edge. Right hand turns are slower than they could be.
@@AppleJack76 the race car is the race car. The M3 went on track twice and it s only when there is someone to take in. It can use camber for sure and those were ils runflats tires
