Hello guys :) something unusual this time :D Comment what u think :) Like and sub for more! I have a new Rising Storm 2 Video in the making and will upload it very soon! Maybe there will come another RO2 video in the future :)
Im so glad people are still playing this, best ww2 shooter in my opinion. Been a few years since I played but seeing this will definitely have to start playing again! Why didn't the make a darkest hour 2? Miss that game alot
I look back playing this game fondly. I don’t think any other has mixed arcade and realism so well. Bolt action gameplay slowed things down. The atmosphere was next level. It was made to feel like Stalingrad, and not for mass consumer like-ability. It holds up because of this, I feel.
That guy is totally me playing Red Orchestra/Squads/Rising Storm. I really like those games, but sometimes the thriller of my playthrough is so big that I can kill a teammate because I don't see the name tag. I can get so underpreasured playing these things.
@@Paul...404 Fight is so messy in this game that people might confuse you for an enemy or just panic and shoot people who come from where they expect the enemy
I've played so much RO2, Hell Let Loose, Post Scriptum, Squad, Arma 2, 3 and various other tactical shooters. Post Scriptum is the most immersive, Squad has the best community for tactical gameplay, Arma has awesome gunplay and ballistics, Hell Let Loose is a bit of everything but doesn't excel at anything. Red Orchestra 2 however is by far the most intense out of all of them. It's a game that really gets your heart racing at times, no matter how much you've played it. It's so much fun.
RO2 had 'atmosphere'. Your character would have a panic attack when taking fire, you scream out when one of your team is killed. It's a PTSD simulator lmao
@@Dualities Nope? It's a game built for tactical movement. Observe, plan, maneuver and repeat. You stay in one place for too long, you're going to eat a grenade. Of course in some situations holding an angle or a position is required. But that's the whole point. You have to use your head to win the game. If someone's 'camping' as you put it, you have to figure out a way to take them out so you can advance. And if you're camping, you have to expect the enemy to know your location relatively quickly and do what you need to do to prevent your death. Isn't that obvious? Why do you say camping like it's a dirty word or like it's something bad? It's just a natural part of warfare. If you don't have the brainpower to take out a camper then none of the games I've listed are suited for you. Nothing wrong with that. If you're not suited for these games or you just simply don't like these games then that's not a bad reflection on you. You're not less of a person because you can't or don't want to play these games. It's just that I'm bluntly telling you that if you play these games you should expect campers and you should learn how to counter them.
This brought back memories lol. So far I can't find any game that blend both realism and arcade so well like Red Orchestra 2. The Setting, map designs and atmosphere too, can't find any game that quite have the same level like it. Even i think it's successor Rising Storm 2, while still a great game, lacks something that make it felt as amazing as RO2. I just hope Antimatter do justice with 83' by market it better to attract newer people, the current series playerbase are old people from Ostfront or RO2 era lol. Also some dedicated game server with "training" like setting would be nice to teach new generation of players how to not die 20 meters from the spawn. Some kill cams would be nice for those type of servers, since i also find it quite frustrating at first to be killed from unknown location multiple times in your first few dozen match.
@@Dr.KarlowTheOctoling I feel that the fluid movement of RO2 is somewhat arcady too. IDK it's just a perfect balance between the stiffer Insurgency type movement and COD series in my opinion. I mean... who the fuck can sprint backwards like in RO2? The gunplay and pacing are also a right balance between the realistic slow milsim type and COD/BF arcade run and gun shooting. When you are defending or pushing slow it feel like a milsim. But when you get that sneaky deep flanking push, hohoho, all hell would break lose COD style.
for anyone asking if this game is ded i tell you: there are at least 2 servers full at anytime if of course youre european. 3 or 4 servers at half players like 34 or 45 total more than 3or 4 servers I recommend you to buy this game, its like a whole other experience, its realistic but not too much ,like arma.I like games realistic but not too much so this is the perfect balance between fun and b realistic
I live in Australia and servers are non existent. US or EU ones are unplayable due to poor ping. If the AU servers were still alive today, this would still be my go to FPS game. This is my all time favorite game. No other game simulated the ambience and horrors of war like this did.
@@phillblcc Phil, what servers have those new custom made maps for RO2? They are huge and remind me of the custom maps from RO at the end of its popularity.
@@jesuschristkillmealready5419 Have you even played red orchestra 2? Because depends on who you asking a good number of people would also label RO2 is a simulator. And then what? What is your other point?
@@Bloodark124 I'm just saying that HLL seems to be more about walking than actually shooting players, which is not really a problem to me and a lot of other people. Why you sound so mad?
@Aaron T it's way too squad based for my liking. red orchestra and rising storm has the perfect balance of teamwork and being able to play on your own without some 300lbs armatard shouting at you for not using mic
I like how this game has dialogue, in post scriptum and hell let loose the soldiers in game never say "reloading" or anything. its just one detail the other games are missing imo
@@realSaintJules FOR REAL! The ONE thing that kills immersion in those games. The reason is because the player talking into the mics *IS* the voice acting. I swear Post Scriptum should of had BF1 quality of voice acting.
@@realSaintJules Actually those dialogues reveals your position to enemies, so its unrealistic and idiotic, but if you are talking about as "detail" yes its a great detail.
I don’t think a lot of people played it casually really, it is just really good at making you feel as important being part of the meat shield. Which is great because it also rewards flanking
I’m pretty sure the original red orchestra is the first of its kind, even before insurgency. It’s really too bad it doesn’t run on windows or anything these days. Did the developers of red orchestra 2 work on Hell Let Loose? So similar.
Learning German, just putting that out there. As far as my progress, I understand simple sentences, such as "Ich liebe Battlefield," or something like that.
Have you uncapped your FPS ? Your gameplay looks smooth as heck - I've done the same but I have noticed the Weapon sway on bolt actionn rifles to be insane!! :(
The high sway is cause the FPS limits how much your rifle sways per frame so if it’s really high it will look like it sways a lot because there are more frames
Hope you read comments on old videos... what mod were you playing with at 8:30? It seems like what Immersion Overhaul Mutator wanted to be, lots more voices and extended voicelines
hey man, I never used any mods but the clip was at the time where i had the voice language set on german, later i set them to original default voices. i think there are some differences between german and default voices, maybe the german voice lines are a bit longer, I never really paid attention to the difference ^^
Even in 2021 this game is impressive/kick ass/fun and realistic, puts the likes of Feministfield V (DICE) to shame.. I just wish we could get a Red Orchestra 3-with it being just as hard as the previous-and have every single front expanded on (Normandy, Stalingrad, Iwo Jima, Anzio, Berlin) :(
I rmb a line that says "fite ligga" or smth like that. I think it's like "fight cowards" or something? Because I know that some people will be shocked by this XD I've heard this in downfall
I played this game when i was a kid for a few hours, strangely i cant forget how Amazing it fell playing it. Once i get my New pc i might play back tobm feel thé same joy as back then

@@cousinzeke4888because they were Dbags to those who could have been on their side against the Red-Mafia even though they were not even part of the tribe they were eliminating. Just look at what they did to the Austrian Fatherland Front. Look how they treated their Italian brothers in arms they fought alongside with, as they took no quarter against those soldiers. When the ITA gov was understandably forced into peace deals. They didn't even bother to imprison the soldiers who were days before on the same side as them, they just disposed of their Italian battle brothers who they fought for years side by side even though it was their government that switched sides and not the soldiers on the front who had just received word. Nah they were hypocrites focused more on eugenics and theory and establishing ideological hegemony rather than fighting against the Scarlet Mob. They didn't deserve the brave men and woman who genuinely fought and died against Joseph's expansionist aggression.
