This was A MASTER PIECE. I was in Barbados that year for CROP OVER and got my party on behind the truck to Spring Garden Highway behind this. Bag is off the chain with his melody and phrasing; THE MAN IS *** A MASTER***.
I was there atcrop over that year and there were many funny chicken songs and people carrying chickens in the bands for a laugh. Brilliant. Satire at its best.
I dont believe that they cant play the chicken songs on the radio to this day because of lawsuits!! I dont know what kind of backward laws exist in Bim!!
Nobody called anybody's name or any name of any business in any of those songs!!! That is what I mean!!! - Like most soca songs they can be interpreted so in many ways - All i can say is that certain people who spend advertising dollars in the radio stations use their clout to twist the radio stations' arms - the newspapers too!!!
@Confirmedgenius Barbados still has those libel laws on the statue books like in the U.K.. Meaning you can't say ANYTHING (in song or otherwise), which is defamatory unless you have proof... The USA has similar laws too, like when Oprah got sued by big-beef industry.
