As a bama fan Texas looks really good. They are the #1 team in the country and they just showed you why,Represent the SEC. The way bama is playing we won’t beat Tennessee hope I’m wrong. Hook em and Roll Tide!!
@@gio_.4372 he finished with 199 yards 😂😂😂 he looked bad all game. Y’all can not possibly sit there and act like he didn’t play extremely poorly. Arch manning puts up 50 at least on this team. The final should have been like 50-0
@@gio_.4372 his longest pass was a slant that went for almost yards lmao so literally 25% of his total yardage came on a ball that was in the air for like 8 yards. You don’t know football do you? Are you even a Texas “fan”?
@@markmcculloch3694 I thought at first the TX coach was not going to do it but he has with The TX money have it going on. OU should have kept Walker and Gabriel ; put the money out to hire a new OC. Instead; they are being to cheap.
@ernestjdahl6253 Gabriel hadn't decided if he was going to the draft or not, and OU couldn't wait for him to make a decision. It is what it is. And, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what the OC calls if the offense can't execute
It was an easy win for Texas. Ewers just needs to shake the rust off and get his rhythm back from missing time. Once he’s in shape, Texas will be back in the CFP mix
Ewers looked terrible. The rest of the Texas team played very well. Ewers looked scared out there, like he was the freshman, not the player with a ton of experience. I hope he gets over whatever was bothering him by next week. Love that Texas defense.
This is his last year. He has no time for rust. He needs to have a good season if he wants to get drafted and not forgotten as someone’s backups backup
To me he looked like he was still injured some of those routine passes he looked as if he was trying not to contort his abdomen while throwing. This would’ve been a disaster by Sark if he was injured or if the game went south.
Texas has power, speed, precision, and great tempo. They are only going to get tougher to beat as the season progresses. Oklahoma has historically been a trap game, and Texas gave zero f**ks.
It’s 6:28 and Oklahoma still sucks!!. Now I already know I’m finna hear the excuses, “we have no o line” you’re missing one player on the o line. “We have no wide receivers” Texas is missing several of their running backs. “We have a freshman quarterback” don’t know why yall even decided to go with him knowing Texas has a very good defense. But here is my favorite one and I’ve been said this “Oklahoma defense will make it a game, Texas hasn’t seen a defense like OU” y’all’s defense is terrible and that was proven in the Houston game. I give yall props for keeping Texas scoreless in the first quarter and for sticking with Hawkins.
Getting real tired of all the neffew takes on here about Ewers especially since this was his first game back and Sark playcalled a little conservative in the second half Remember arch struggled against ms state
Arch went 26/31 for 325 and two TDs with 33 rushing yds and a rushing TD in the MS game. I’m not quite sure what struggle means to you. Maybe Ewers was just rusty, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t starting their second-best quarterback.
@@OfficerDownswould have been 27/31 for 400yds and 3 TDs if not for a bad wide open drop. Claiming Arch struggled against Miss St when he was arguably the most efficient QB in thr country that week is a hilariously bad take.
Its too early for a QB controversy but Ewers was bad today. Being out for 2 games is no excuse when you are a third year starter. Arch would have scored 50 on OU today.
@@OfficerDowns Ewers just needs to shake off the rust. He's got more touch on the underneath routes and reads defenses a little better, whereas Arch has a more solid deep ball, better foot speed, but can be more up and down on the close routes that are more common than the deep shots. Ewers gives you the bread and butter that you need in your base, with Arch giving the deserts that are nice, but not a consistent winning plan.
That interception woke up all the UT Team… They adjusted well… Totally shut down the whole Sooner’s team… Held them to 3 points all game????? Unheard of … Great game LONGHORNS!!! 🤘🏼💯🟠⚪️🟠⚪️🟠⚪️🟠⚪️
Ewers needs to knock some rust off he didn’t play too well. Good by Sark to not put him in harms way with explosive throws down the field. Gotta play better
would've been a 50pt blowout with arch, notice how when he's on the field the teams energy is different. not taking away from ewers but arch has an all round game
@@WhitneyGadison1 he literally played like actual dogshit today, he is clearly still injured he got lucky Texas was simply a better team top to bottom than Oklahoma. As of right now manning is the more productive player
@@joshchambers9922 I’m a USC fan, Lincoln is overrated but I agree that usc has definitely had a challenging schedule. I really hope we wise up though and find a new coach, despite the fact that we’ve fallen off for a long time, there really shouldn’t be any excuse to not dominate recruiting and be a perrenial top 5 class if you’re SC. We haven’t been the same since Pete left but urban Meyer would be a solid hire.
TEXAS KEEPS ON WINNING 💯! IF ALI AND TYSON EVER FOUGHT IN A BOXING MATCH IT WOULD'VE BEEN THE FIGHT OF THE CENTURY 💯! NEXT SATURDAY WILL FEATURE TWO HEAVY WEIGHTS IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL AS KIRBY SMART LEADS THE BULLDOGS INTO AUSTIN, TX TO FACE THE TEXAS LONGHIRNS! LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLEEEEEEE!
I want to make a point and then get a few responses.... At 9:48 ... the QB pump fakes and then gets knocked to the ground. If he had thrown the ball, then it would be called roughing the passer.... All of this is decided in 2-3 tenths of a second. In my opinion (not worth much) roughing the passer should be called when it is more blatant and the defender had time to make a choice....
This was embarrassing as an OU fan. Hawkins didn't do well, but I don't think any QB can with how poor the line is and all of our receivers being out. I smell 6-6 or 7-5 season.
I don’t understand why he didn’t even attempt to throw the ball down the field. Even being down 3 tds it seemed like every throw attempt was less than 10 yards
I know the score isn't close, but it wasn't really a blowout as the score would make it seem. Texas had too many errors if they want to beat the top couple of teams after them in the rankings. QB just getting back, he should get back to himself after this game. They left 10 points out there, and too many FG tries after being in the red zone 3 times with no TDs.
@@lokilucariohe is still injured you can clearly tell by his body language. He is going to ruin his chances in the NFL if he continues to try and play through this injury
@@Mack-bc9mh I mean, Cal vs Pitt was better than this. Not that that's a very high bar lol. It helps that Pitt has been good and Cal has been decent (starting hot in the season and keeping it close vs Miami)
Great game by Texas all around except for Ewers. I don't know if his injury is bothering him or if it's just rust, but the defense and yards after contact are what won this game. And then instead of giving it to Helm or one of the backs the call is made to stroke Ewers ego at the end? Why? If he had done what we have seen him do, he wouldn't have to steal a garbage time score frome someone else that earned it.
Ewers played without rhyme or fire for most of the game, and the kicker missed twice from 40 yards. Not gonna work with the sloppiness on offense against real teams.
@@lokilucario throwing a pick in the very first play of the game, also couldn't make a 1st down in the entire 1st quarter is not just "little rusty". He was lucky for the OU offense missing most of the starters. Grow up.
Now where are all those Oklahoma fans that were talking about 7-3 in the last decade? Hope yall are prepared to get stomped for the next 10 years. Yall won’t compete in the SEC. OU will me a bottom feeder for years to come.
