Interesting video Derek. When I stopped by Red Rock Casino in June I won over $500.00 on a Titanic slot machine. The Elvis machine was loving me tender too. I like to eat at the Capriottis in their food court and of course, the buffet. When I used to stay there I would ask for a room looking out at Red Rock Canyon. It was a beautiful view at sunset. Aloha!

I appreciate your video which shows me, as a wheelchair user, to NEVER stay in a Red Rock ADA room. No one can blame your perspective since you're able-bodied and can't have the mindset or experience to point out the many things wrong with that room as an ADA designation. I enjoyed your video, regardless. Thank you.

I appreciate and respect the fact that you changed rooms, some people wouldn't in your case because they got a bigger room or whatever. My mom is handicapped and we've sure had stays at hotels where ADA rooms weren't available...

Nice video. What irks me about these hotels is they think they can call a room fully accessible just by making a shower bigger and slapping a bar next to the toilet. A lot of the people that make the purchasing decisions in these hotels don't take into consideration bed height. I recently tried to stay at Primm, and the beds were so high that I couldn't transfer to them in my wheelchair. The rollaway bed they brought me sank to the floor. Then I get the guy at the front desk cracking snide remarks saying he wishes they had a futon. Absolutely no empathy on his part. When I stay in Vegas, I tend to go to The Orleans. The beds are the same height as the seat of my wheelchair, making transferring so easy.

Hi! This is Cat from Brooklyn NY! I just absolutely love the fact that you switched rooms! Most people don't understand that people that are disabled just really need to have the correct accommodations! For example, how many times have I gone into a bathroom where they may have only one handicapped stall and there are many other regular stalls but the person is using the handicapped one! I actually knock on the door and I asked them if they're disabled and if they need this bathroom and could they please leave because I have to go. Then they leave. Once again thank you so much!

Friendly reminder, Cat, that not all disabled people use wheelchairs! Some may use an accessible bathroom stall or maybe even a parking space because they need it, despite not being a w/c user. Yes, there are those who use spaces tailored to the disabled because it's "so cool," but probably not as much as you might think. I hope you don't truly ask someone on the other side of a bathroom door if they really need it and if you do, I hope you'll seriously consider stopping. You could be unintentionally shaming a fellow disabled person.

Goofy16girl787❄ This is Cat from Brooklyn NY!🐱 Seriously Fuck Off! If I'm at the point where I have to knock on a handicapped stall door because I really feel sick and I have to go, I really have to go! And it is worth it for me to ask someone whether they really need to use the handicapped stall and embarrass myself because I really need to use the bathroom and I can't use the other stalls. I know that not all people look like their handicapped and they use the handicapped stalls because they need to. However, at the point in time where I have to ask, I am beyond embarrassing myself when I could be embarrassing myself another way and I need to use the bathroom. In other words, when I have to go I really have to go and I need the handicapped stall. How dare you imply that I wouldn't know that someone just might be handicapped! That's why I ask if they are disabled, then I apologize and I explain that I'm sick and I really need to go. Only once someone responded with "Okay I'll try and hurry up." It was okay because they understood because they were in a wheelchair! However, they were not offended because they are disabled and they know that sometimes you just need to go. Ninety nine times out of one hundred they are not disabled. And they apologize to me and confirm that they are not disabled. I knew someone who uses the handicapped stall because it was bigger and they were claustrophobic! And the whole point of the comment was that if you don't need to use something that is intended for someone that is disabled and needs it, then you shouldn't! THANKS for your response!✌🌼☮🐱

As I said, it was a FRIENDLY reminder. As in, I don't think you're a bitch or stupid or whatever else you're thinking I've implied by my comment. I was only trying to remind you that wheelchair users aren't the only disabled people out there. You already knew that? Cool. There's a nicer way to tell me that.

Goofy16girl787💡 This is Cat from Brooklyn NY!🐱 Just in case you didn't get it I found what you said to be very insulting! I am disabled and in a wheelchair. I know other disabled people that are not in wheelchairs. I know a lot of shit because I'm old, disabled and I'm tired of everybody using the handicapped stall when I really have to go! This is really there for people with physical disabilities that need to use the railings or the extra space for their WHEELCHAIR! Although there are some people that need it for other reasons, this is what it is designed for! You really pissed me off and made me feel very bad! I'm just too sick to deal with any more of your nonsense so please just leave me alone! HAPPY CHANUKAH, MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY NEW YEAR and HAPPY EID! Have a nice life! BE WELL!🕎🎄❄☮🐱

I don't think Cat is doing anything wrong. I've asked people before if any other stall was available when they entered, and more often than not the person says there were some available. I ask why they chose the bigger stall, they said because it didn't cramp their style. Their selfish decision hindered my ability to use the restroom in a timely manner. I don't know your situation, so I am not going to immediately jump to "unless you're in a wheelchair, you don't understand." You may or may not be in a wheelchair. However, in cases of people using stalls designed for mobility issues, there is nothing wrong with calling a person out for blatantly being an asshole.

Let me get this straight , if you so much as pick-up any of the liquor or food item in the room, even if you only want to just read the labels, you're charge with it?
@AllYouCanVegas
@AllYouCanVegas 7 лет назад
+highsierra The charge kicks in if the item is off the sensor for more than 60 seconds.

We stay at a Timeshare when we visit Las Vegas. Red Rock Casino is always on the list but we stay closer to the Strip. How far from the Strip is this location?

+Steven S It’s about a 20-minute drive. Worth it if you have a car, not so much by taxi!
