Nice update. Regal tangs are lovely fish but messy eaters and IMO create a lot of waste and can easily increase the bioload of a tank.quickly. Your bioballs will help but need time for the bacteria to colonise, if they are relatively new.
Thanks for your advice... the bio balls were soaked in my previous tank for a couple of months and then three months in here, I have just done a few water changes and the nitrate is down to 12 and phosphate is 0.08 so I think the precios po4 test was a bum reading. Looking to monitor it closely now and see how stable it is... I am sure I will find a consistent balance soon it’s always tricky early on isn’t it.. Thanks again for watching and commenting 👍
Awesome update. Sad to see the nano go, but it makes sense - I don't know how people run 2 or more tanks. I struggle to keep up with one 😂 Loving the new corals from Prestige Reef. Loving following the journey.

Playing with fire if your po4 is 0.01ppm and your running rowaphos too? If that bottoms out for a period of time you know what comes next? Also bear in mind if your testing with the hanna ULR checker then is has a +\- accuracy range of 0.03ppm so you would be somewhere between 0.00 and 0.04. Also your no3 and po4 levels are out of balance if your no3 is 20ppm and po4 is 0.01ppm.... generally they should be kept within 1/100 no3 to po4 so for example if your no3 was 10ppm po4 should be kept around 0.1ppm. Dosent have to be exact but within range, when these go out of wack you may start seeing cyano in the system.
Yeah thanks Logan all Good points, I have done a few water changes this weekend to bring the nitrate down and removed the Rowa.. I feed quite heavy so hoping the po4 returns pretty quickly 👍
@@paulukreefer5012 should be okay just don’t let them 0 out... I always keep a bottle of neo-nitro and neo-phos to hand just incase I ever need them... my view better to have them and not need them as appose to waiting a week for them to come

@@paulukreefer5012 😂 always the way, wait till your thanks about 12 months old then start on the ICP testing that’s takes the hobby to a whole other level.... I usually test all my levels then compare then back to the ICP results
Hi mate is that a 4’ tank? Similar fish that I had till I took all rock out and put in a one piece scape I’d bought then two days later no fish. Beneficial bacteria must be a thing. 😂
