Hearing this theme while wandering the fieldlands after being evicted gave me chills None of the usual cheery and calm stuff You just get distant droning and a spooky red sky while being told neither clan can help you
like when you are drag into a different world, you are starting to gain people trust but sudenly a wild turn of events make everyone hates you, and they decide exile you into the wilds, is like a living hell, then you have to face the unknown of that world to gain the people trust over and over again (sounds like isekai animes lol)
It evoked so much in me I immediately had to look the song up. This sound design and supervision to sync it to this moment in the game is SO POWERFUL. Music in games really is magic
This theme spooked the hell out of me. Pokémon games has never, EVER, had a theme dark as this. Your unwelcome, the village looking down on you and your own friends not being able to clear your name. you accept your new life as an outcast and find out that you cant even turn to the other clans for help. Not to mention the world nearly about to end. While this theme plays, you either desperately look for help, or desperately look for the red chain to save the world. Nonetheless im very impressed with endgame in this game. I love how the battle theme for red sky also carries the melancholy vibe with it as well.
@@Cyndacake Oh, heck yeah, I can also wholeheartedly agree with it, the PMD games are amazing, in my opinion! ^^ And the first games in the series are definitely reminiscent of this, true ^^
The only comfort you have in these dark times is the pokemon that have accompanied you throughout, the very beings the humans have feared (well....mostly Kamado...).
Still reeling from the shock of suddenly being evicted from Jubilife, I was sent out all alone into the wilderness… and when this theme started playing, I was just mesmerized. It’s both chilling and chilled at the same time. It’s incredible. I’ll never forget that moment I was like “crap, what do I do now?”
I can't remember the last time I was almost on the verge of tears in a Pokemon game. Getting banished from the only place you were able to call home since you arrived in this timeline. The villagers watching you leave and expressing their shock. Being all alone in the wild with nothing, but your Pokemon with you, having to fight just to survive. The clans unable to help you. The hero's expression of hopelessness. The Shinx interacting with the hero. I swear, this was great storytelling.
When are we gonna start appreciating that this music is literally a reimagined version of the Distortion World theme from Platinum? Seriously, listen to them back-to-back.
This gives me Twilight princess vibes when you first visit the twilight realm. There’s a sense of uneasiness to it and yet it’s also quite gorgeous to look at. 1:09 This part in particular reminded me of the twilight realm’s theme when the music jumps to different pitches.
absolutely! it was the first thing i thought of, not only the music fits but also the atmosphere. everything is still the same somehow, but also very different and eerie at the same time
This theme and the battle theme are such good remixes of Distortion World. I appreciate them so much- the feeling of emptiness doesn't denote the world, but your heart when you first see everything. 10/10, wish I could relive it again
Yeess, I love how during this section of the game, you don't get the regular battle theme if you choose to fight any wild Pokémon. It simply layers additional instruments on top of this ambient track. SO good. It keeps the atmosphere intact and even adds to it.
I'm definitely a bit of an odd sort. This theme, and the beautiful but distorted atmosphere, were very calming to me. The world was ending and the main character was pretty much all alone... yet it was incredibly freeing. And with a team of over-levelled Pokemon, there was a sort of vindication of knowing "I'll be fine, despite all this." It was all about strength in oneself, and a freedom from burdens, from worrying about the future, because that future might never come. Indescribably liberating. This whole segment felt really well done on Nintendo's part. (*Possible(?) Spoiler Edit*) Can anyone tell me why, after NINE MONTHS of listening to this song, I only NOW just figured out that it's a remix of the Distortion World!?! I $#@%ing LOVE the distortion world theme, how did I not recognize it? (Listen carefully at about 1:40 and you'll see what I mean.) Very clever guys, VERY clever...
I knew I wasn’t the only one! And for me, at least, I had an extra layer of security because of my prior knowledge of the Pokemon responsible. I was like “I know these guys. When the time comes to confront them, I’ll be ready.”
One of my favorite themes from the game. Did a bit of grinding at the end in the Icelands with this playing the whole time and it was pretty epic. People can't seem to agree on the graphics but I think we can all agree this track slaps.
Personally I loved the graphics, it all fit the theme to me. The only jarring part was how you could see the low frame rate from not far away, haha. But it was more of a "huh, lol" than an actual issue for me
Favorite theme of the game for me personally. Kinda sad I won't get to hear it again in my game because I'm already past that point. But the red sky + this music were a 11/10 combination, really did it for me!
Loved this part. It felt like being alone but not at the same time. At this point your team is likely strong enough for anything in the wild and just being with them means you aren’t truly alone no matter where you go. But being sent out with nothing but the items you have the Pokémon with you, pretty much being sent to death at this point in time, I liked the tonal shift. Legends surprised me with quickly becoming possibly my favorite Pokémon game along side black and white Plus this music is great
When I saw the sky and heard the OST, I was looking forward to end the main game and bring the world back to normal. Now... i wish I could feel that again and spent more time in that part
This theme not only makes you feel as if the world is ending, but that eerie sort of tone is just a constant reminder that at that very moment you're pretty much all alone. The village you considered your sanctuary has abandoned you. The clans you have helped and befriended won't help you, and now you're stuck in the wild with nothing but your Pokémon.
@Dark-Sargasso I Suppose we are gonna get a few new areas in the map to explore with more different Pokémon to catch! But Idk what GameFreak will do in the end 🤔
@@raphI_I What's your problem? It is just a similar soundtrack. There is even another soundtrack from another Game that sounds like The Twilight realm. And that's the basalt deltas soundtrack from de Flames of the Nether (Minecraft Dungeons OST) Compare, and you'll notive that they are probably made of the same instrumental
so far my favorite theme in the game the only other one is whenever you calm the nobles something about those moments tied into the music is just beautiful.
This theme just mastered ambiance of being damned, the feeling like there’s no hope but you have to keep going regardless of if you want to or not. Knowing that the world is going to fall with seemingly no hope to fight back against it. Feels like the distortion world if it truly was going to encompass the whole world
I love watching my daughter play Arceus. I was sick with Omicron COVID-19 at the time the game was released, and I spent two weeks watching her play. Loved the soundtrack; it still relaxes me to hear it. The first of the three themes - called _Disaster Looming_ - might be my favorite soundtrack music from the entire game, but it's all good stuff. Of all the Pokemon soundtracks I've heard, the music from Arceus is the most memorable. Thanks for posting! 😎
Funny enough this is actually a call back to the original Diamond & Pearl games, when Cyrus summons Dialga/ Palkia & it turns the sky a red/purple colour, but few remember that because it only gets shown for about 5 seconds, whereas here, you have to experience it for a lot longer.
I’ve never felt more saddened playing a Pokémon game. I’m banished from my only home in Hisui, all the people look at me with scorn, not even the Diamond and Pearl clans can save me lest they wage war on each other or the Galaxy Team. And I’ve nowhere to go but wander the vastness of Hisui for the rest of time. Never have I felt more vulnerable in a Pokémon game. And more alone.
This was amazing. I got Legends Arceus back in March 2022 for my birthday and got through some of the tutorial but quit. Then my friend went to Memphis that June and bought the game while there which kinda motivated me to start playing. I played that game from start to finish throughout June and July, never switching games until I beat it. I loved this part the most. It was foreshadowed and I kinda joked that Kamado would evict me since he thought i caused the lightning. aaand then it happened! I loved the feeling of knowing no one can help you and you're just left to wander. I remember thinking a few thoughts during this whole area to the end. I remember thinking that Giratina was there since it reminded me of the Distortion World, I remember thinking that Beni was the main evil guy since it was obvious he had a big part for being mentioned and shown so so so many times for just a waiter and thinking Volo was a human form of Arceus since he always knew where we were, showed up when almost no one was around and seemed so interested in the plates. Really wish I could relive the experience this game was. edit: WAIT THIS IS THE DISTORTION WORLD THEME JUST REMIXED THIS MAKES EVEN LESS SENSE LIKE WHY COULDNT GIRATINA BE HERE AND WE CHOOSE A LEGENDARY TO STOP IT LIKE UGH THAT COULDVE BEEN AMAZING also I haven't fully beaten the game. Stuck at the Volo fight, haven't played in months.
The music and the red sky setting is giving me a little Final Fantasy VII vibes when the meteorite is falling while the northern cave music is playing in the hub world
It’s a cloudy afternoon in, I’m just about to fight arceus and finish my Pokémon game, pause the game real quick go take a shhyt and just had ti listen to this beautiful ost man.
am i the only one who thins thi sis the best ambient lo-fi meditation theme pokemn has ever made? i play htis almost every nigh because o f how serene it is
one thing i didnt like about the main game was that the tracks were bangers but when youd get seen by a wild pokemon or go near an alpha itd get interrupted but that doesnt happen here, so glad they did that for the endgame
You know, it would have kind of been satisfying to have a noncanon option of going back to the village and showing everyone why YOU are the player, whether they want to stop you or not, or just join Volo and sick Giratina on the ingrates.
You know legends arceus is a true pokemon game forget all gen 1 to gen 9 pokemon games legends arceus will and for ever be a true pokemon game because of the story
When I got to this part of the game. I swear, I really started to get some Majora's Mask vibes from it. I mean the red and purple sky, the depressing atmosphere and it even felt like an apocalypse was happening. The only thing it doesn't have though is a time limit of course. But can anyone see where I'm getting at here?
When I experienced this in the game, I was actually scared at first. The music is very creepy and ominous; Though, I suppose that's the point of it, since the world is pretty much on the brink while this plays. lol
lets be real. NO ONE WAS EXPECTING THIS. i was ready to beat game then i heard and saw thid. i thought i was experiencing a creepypasta at first. also this would fit perfect for sonic.exe. and the shape of the red is like a diamond makes you feel like you know its not normal and its also weirdly peaceful. if i saw thid irl i would be freaking out and shocked
being forced out of the village with that piano track + cylene’s “don’t die out there, that’s an order.” hit _hard_ you have no one except your Pokémon. You’re powerless against this disaster.
I had a dream i was at the playtime factory and for some odd reason there was the backrooms but with windows in front and 1:09 gives me the perfect theme for this dream
