Actually, I believe that when Mikasa dies, her and Eren reunite in the after life and have their happy ending. :) I’m just so sad they weren’t able to witness it while they were young and with their family and friends. It would have been truly beautiful to see their true confessions to each other before Eren eventually dies. :(

(I do get what you mean, though; Attack on Titan is a life-changer and it should be as beloved as it has been for years to come. It is truly a unique story full of hope, despair, trust, and love. Spoiler for 138 Most of that sequence is just Mikasa imagining an Idealised version of Eren . However , I think the REAL Eren entered the dream when he says " Forget about me " you can see that he has Titan marks under his eyes , something that the IDEAL Eren didn't have .

SNK accompanied me through my depression, made me feel less alone and more understood. Thank you so much Hajime Isayama for writing this manga.
