Basically, they'd been imprisoned by somebody in that house for years. My theory is not on him being their real father, but rather a Gothel-esque character that kidnapped them all when they were really young and forced them all to behave like a family, because it seems like Wendy, one of the older girls, knew enough to see through the illusion of their "family life," and hated him enough to kill him when his guard was down.
When I listened this song for the first timw be like “seriously SM?”, next day i was like “what a chill kill, i know you will”, everytime, everywhere 😭😭😭 the song is so good 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤even my mom liked it tho..
My interpretation revolves around the fact that in the beginning a video cassette is starting up, but then it switches to live with the videographer missing from the chair and cut out of the picture. One of the costumes near the end had blood on it. I have to believe that a guy either had them imprisoned in his house, or kept them there by blackmail so he could shoot naughty videos of them in those fantasy outfits he dressed them up in. As they mock his memory, I think it is very fitting that they wear his cosplay outfits as they torch his house. The more they come to the realization that they are rid of the guy, the vocals get brighter and happier. In the end, when it is apparent that they are going to be arrested, Irene throws caution to the wind and leads their "Choreography of Freedom."
Basically they killed their father or kidnapper and they were having flashbacks of it, they tried to forget it but they decided to burn the house but they git caught by the cops.
