Their discography is great but they have a few bad songs, let's be real. Power Up is trash. So is Umpah Umpah. They have around 140 songs and not all of them are good quality. I would say that 5% of their songs are terrible. Just because they have some amazing songs such as Cosmic, Kingdom Come etc, doesn't mean we have to cover up their bad songs. To have that many songs and 95% are good means that they have over 100 good songs. I think Red Velvet are the best kpop group from 3rd gen. It's a shame about the few terrible songs but no artist has a perfect discography.
@@Ri57490 you litterally chose 2 bad examples to justify your argument, you could have said "rookie", it could have passed but the 2 songs that you chose are really good songs !!! Just my opinion btw
@@sabiaakthar1613 People that snipe the very first seconds after a video is published, do not look at it and ask for a certain reaction seem quite awkward to me.
@@sabiaakthar1613of course you can say it's annoying when a lot of the comments are literally just "React to this" which is rude. It provides nothing of worth, and shows they don't care about anything but their own request
This is the most European K-pop song I ever heard!… and it’s coming from Red Velvet and their Swedish producers (Moonshine)! Only Europeans can understand the tradition, the costumes in this video, beside the Midsommar movie! From Romania, Belarus, Finland, Sweden… this was a very pleasant surprise, and the song is fire! Imagine this at Eurovision!
10 years into their career and still delivering concepts and songs that only red velvet can do. i’m so proud of my girls! they literally deserve the world. i literally cried when the bridge started and never stopped. there’s NO ONE like red velvet
I don't know if anyone has already mentioned it, but The Love Is Cosmic trailer has a lot of references from Red Velvet's past eras. The parrot (Happiness), the pizza box (Peek-A-Boo), the pink boxes (Queendom), the cups (Psycho), etc. We, reveluvs, were very busy trying to find all the easter eggs in the MV on the day it was released. Also, remembering those times and seeing how the girls have grown as individuals and artists was really heartwarming. Red Velvet always reinvents themselves with every comeback and this time was no exception. So, let's support Cosmic a lot! 💖 Thanks for the reaction :)
@@DifferentlyAlike the previous concept which sm made did not feel right for the members, so Joy pitched an idea/concept that was true for rv and even made a whole presentation of it. The girls love it and now we're here
@@DifferentlyAlikeas what people said joy searched for months for a better concept for the comeback and the girls loved it...the thing is that SM keep messing up 3very red velvet comeback and still it's almist red velvet 10th year anniversary and still messing things up..not gonna talk about the album packaging and..yeah sm don't give up on our girls cause they're the best and we won't give up on them and will support them always
I literally just finished watching Form of Therapy's cosmic reaction, thinking "It would be so nice if my girls also dropped their reaction now".. Then my yt page refreshed and I saw y'all 😵💫✨️ I've been anticipating your reactions, since you always give my RV girls their flowers 🤭💐 After watching: YALL NEVER DISAPPOINT WHEN IT COMES TO APPRECIATING THEM 😭 like when do y'all ever watch the mv THREE times (+ performance vid) 😭 and seeing how much y'all loved it brightened up my mood so much... As a reveluv, who has to endure the little amount of attention and investment RV gets its nice to see people loving the girls and their work 🥹 thank you both for this wholesome and genuine reaction 🤧✨️🩵
This MV mixes the "kill someone to make a ritual" vibes from "Peek-A-Boo" and the sisterhood in the cult from "Psycho", with the wholesome creepy and weird feeling chorus structure that also happened in "Chill Kill". Also, they using the summer queens throne to give basically an homage to Sweden, with the Midsommar aesthetic and Abba CLEAR sonic references, is wholesome too, considering the major part of RV's singles have production and/or credits from people like Sunshine and Moonshine (who produced "Cosmic" along with the all-mighty Kenzie). One bittersweet note: as SM always fumbles with Red Velvet, since Feel My Rhythm I feel that every comeback from RV could be the last, and "Cosmic" has the strong disco vibes that "MAGO" by GFRIEND had and the disbandment fear creeps in, but I trust in the cake girls that are going to fight to keep Red Velvet alive. Joy fought for her life for this concept, and it allowed this mesmerizing Minialbum to exist.
The feeling I'm still getting whenever the "I just can't say goodnight" is just... amazing. Absolute chills all over my body definitely a top tier bridge wendy moment for me!
You are my Favorite Reactors !! -- Nice to see someone's enjoying Red Velvet as much as me !! These girls bring so much joy to my life! I'm now in my mid 60s- and have been a musician my entire life. Red Velvet is something very special -- I hope the young folks understand just how magical this group is! Peace !
The trailer makes me cry The parrot in happiness, then Yeri entered the bus just like she joined Red Velvet after the Happiness song os related trailer to their past mvs
Incredible talent that just keeps getting better. An instant hit song and the rest of the album is incredible too, to no surprise. Appreciate the reaction.
I can listen to it now but when I first listened to the song (with the MV) I couldn’t not cry. Something about the melodies had me by the throat. Such a beautiful song
There were so many good easter eggs in the MV too! referencing older MV from their discography. This MV just captures their journey and I'm riding on their rhythm through the solar system for the rest of my life!!!
just came across yalls videos and yall are some of my favorite reaction channel by far! Mainly because yall are so me when I see them in literally anything 😭 but also the “imagine red velvet in the movie” thats a little scary bc the video ALMOST convinced me to rewatch it and then i remembered 😭
Of all the Cosmic MC reactions I’ve watched, this was the one that actually focused on the song itself without over analyzing it and that should be the main point of the reaction, the song. I swear only a true Reveluv can do this. People have to understand that Red Velvet considers two things when making music: the songs and their meaning & the concept. Red Velvet has its own lore and they always make a fictional story connected to their world. Along with this, they produce songs that could go along with the story. Thus, the making of the concept. There probably times that a concept should go around a song/album, it goes hand in hand. Nonetheless, they always highlight the song itself because that’s their message. This is also one of reasons why they don’t repeat a concept (or sound), because who wants the same story again? I’m really glad that you guys paid attention to the music and actually immensed yourselves to it. Hope you’ll love the whole album as well because it really is that good. If we are all going to be real, this actually the song of the year, music wise, song wise, lyrics wise, mv wise.
Thank you for always appreciating Red Velvet the way they deserve to be appreciated and loved! This comeback is really soooooo incredible ❤ we expect nothing less, but they always deliver
the way i was waiting for you both to release your reaction… i checked my subscriptions section every few minutes and your reaction has finally come!! speaking of which, let’s all be honest here now… this is SOTY.
the red string is from the Psycho MV, there are cool interpretations of the MV on twitter, as the members said, the plot is connected to their album trailer "Love is Cosmic", they use Midsommar (the movie) but it feels more like a proper homage to the actual swedish festival, full of joy and love, with a cheeky twist. Love your reactions so much, you guys always give the best reviews and truly understand what makes red velvet so good!
YES!!! Love watching your RV reactions. Can't wait for you to do the rest of the album. You're going to freak the F*$! Out. One of the best summer albums EVER. Particularly looking forward to night drive ...
4:10 We are in luck because their is a behind the scenes video on the Red Velvet channel. Among the best parts is explaining some of the backstory and lore as well as how super supportive the director was of the ladies during the whole process. She was amazing and the results speak for itself. Thanks for the content. Have a great week.
I don't know how many times I have said this already - RV and Moonshine are perfect together. They understand RV so well. It's hard to shut up about about it. LOL
red velvet really borns to serve musics differently, in other wise... people who have taste, then would be getting it. you all don't be like somebody whose never understand the concepts wise of them. red velvet is amazing 🤧
I was watching a vid from one of the women who were on the set with the Ladies. She said that all of them were not only gorgeous, but they were also kind, sweet and absolutely lovely. She said that Joy had serious giggles. Yeri asked them to take a pic with them and posted it on her IG. It was nice to see it confirmed that they are as lovely as we think that they are.
MV is inspired by Midsommar (the movie). The film is inspired by a Swedish tradition of celebrating the summer solstice. The summer solstice is the most lovely and familiar tradition of Sweden, its original country, everyone is in a good mood. Fairycore, mysterious forest vibrations, June 19-26, the summer night are considered "magic and mysterious and even sMBrias," it is believed that during this period, a "sacrifice ritual" happens to enable the plans to be able to From "healing", and also predict the future, already the young ones, have to tear in silence so as not to break the magic, 7 different species of flowers and put under the pillow to dream of your beloved that will be sent the next day by the cosmos to The sacrifice (so the boy falls from the fully stunned sky and the girls run to see who takes him first),. It is the largest holiday in Sweden, only a few countries celebrate this beyond Swedish, and is celebrated in very different ways depending on the country. But the film was specifically inspired by Midsommar in Sweden, which is what they make reference in MV. According to the Swedes, the ritual part only exists in the movie "Midsommar", which is macabre, more controversies about this. Traditions between countries have some difference and similarities. Like: Belarus, Poland and Finland, which is the greatest similarities in the original traditions of Sweden. Even having a company that is not giving due value to these divas, and even with low budget they have turned powder into gold, and still proved once again, with a million views in 3 hours, which must be much more while posting this), to confirm that they are the best group of live idols. Red Velvet You will always be unique !! ❤🌺🌹🌼🌸🌻🪴🌹🌺👏👏👏
Midsummer (or *A Midsommer Nights Dreame* as Shakespeare spelt it in Modern English) is certainly not originally Swedish. The tradition which only really took off in the nineteenth century in Sweden goes back five hundred years I read. In the U.K. it goes back seven or eight hundred years. It is still celebrated especially in Cornwall. The maypole which Shakespeare also incorporates is not unique to Sweden. They are rather far north though, so they have the long days that make it more notable, and this justifies the delay with the blooming of flowers. It replaced Vårparnatt in Sweden, an earlier version. The name seems to do with the hatching of eggs? In any case I simply cannot make sense of this song (its title, lyrics, what's happening in the video) without the many references to a Korean folktale called *The Heavenly Maiden and the Woodcutter* ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Heavenly_Maiden_and_the_Woodcutter ). The May king/woodcutter/cowherd is played by a young lady in a plaid shirt and backpack which is causing confusion. That has to do with Chilseok (Tanabata in Japanese, say) which is the big summer star festival on this side of the world, sometimes called Asian Valentine's Day and such . . . . . . and the red threads are what connect love-fated couples. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_thread_of_fate The video is happening chronologically backwards. Believe me or not -- that's up to you . . .
@@georgef286 I know! I was so confused when Wendy got no props because it was Wendy that did that belt on the bridge and her body roll that popped! Oh well! Wendy! Wendy!
I’ve been waiting for this reaction! Watching you feels like I’m watching to my own reaction the first time I watched the MV. Forever in this Red Velvet hole~ no turning back. Excited for your next contents related to this comeback’s album. What could be your fave b-side in the cosmic album aside from the TT. Also, just wanna share that they are expected to appear in “It’s Live” though I don’t know when. Whether you’ll react on it or not, it’s fine. Just wanna share that future treasure with you. No gatekeeping for MASTERPIECES! 💙🧡🩷💜💚 Again, THANK YOUUUUUUU~
Like the rest i was waiting all week for your reaction and it’s always fun to see how you 2 react. I was the same first, second and 100th time i watched and listened to the song😆love the belgium/dutch in between (as a dutch guy the accent is really fun to hear😅) happy 10th RV anniversary Luvies😉
The teaser video, had references from their past videos. Like the parrot from happiness, when yeri entered the bus, ice cream cake intrumental was played etc etc..
it's hauntingly addictive. I didn't get it the first time but as you listen to it, like the beat, it just eerily slowly crawls closer to you until you love it nonstop.
