Agreed RV has some of the greatest R&B tracks that holds up not just in K-Pop. SM has been the best over the years with their R&B tracks. In fact, I'm writing this before I finished the video but in case you didn't know, Be Natural is a remake of an older SM song from back in 2000, just goes to show you they been bringing their A game since day one.

Nobody does R&B like SM, then again they have a lot of black producers with that grew up in R&B and music in general. I think that's the reason I LOVE red velvet and exo so much. Their R&B songs are unmatched. Don't even get me started in R&B SNSD.

I just feel like Red Velvet is THE BEST KPop GG in terms of vocals, from 1 to 5. Many of the other groups have 1 or maybe 2 great vocalists. Red Velvet, they all can sound like opera singers and rNb soul singers.
Not to be a Debbie downer. But enjoy their next comeback to the fullest lol. They're reaching that point in their careers where SM will put them on a long "hiatus" where we'll get new music every 2 or 3 years lol. Red Velvet have renewed their contracts for 3 more years, so we have them until August of 2024 at least. And the girls have been busy, their full Japanese album is imminent as well. It's only March, so I'm predicting at least one more Korean comeback from them before the year is out. RV still have lots to give us.

Thank you for another awesome Red Velvet reaction. Red Velvet on chairs in suits AND heels, #ILLEGAL. They are the R&B QUEENS of KPOP! As someone who grew up listening to Janet, Mariah, and all the 90’s divas Red Velvet is the only group that has that sound that is so reminiscent of 90’s R&B. It’s the main reason I fell in love with their music. They’re also extremely versatile and their harmonies are INSANE! Whenever you’re asking who was doing the ad libs it was Seulgi. (Irene sang “I got you, you got me..” but Seulgi was singing in the background). And that sexy humming at the end, ALL SEULGI! Her ad libs GO OFF, she has that buttery smooth tone that is just so HOT. Thank you for recognizing Irene and Yeri’s vocals. Irene has a very sultry tone and Yeri has a soulful tinge to her voice, and together Red Velvet’s harmonies blend so perfectly. #VocalQueens #StanRedVelvet
They definitely have more soul than I initially thought seriously! And I knew Irene and Yeri were underrated vocally but they are REALLY underrated! Those girls would be main vocals in ALOT of other groups🤷🏾♂️just saying. Definitely giving Janet & Mariah energy for sure

@@jusballin87 #YouBetterKnow Seulgi is my all time favorite KPOP singer. She has such a unique vocal tone, and incredible range. Whether she’s belting out high notes, or singing in her lower register, I get chills. She and Joy tend to get overshadowed by Wendy which is unfortunate. Red Velvet’s vocal line is top tier and any member could be a main vocal in another GG.
@@nikegrrl5105 Listen I only found out about Red Velvet in September 2021. I'm not a huge K-pop head but I've heard the other girls and the math is not mathing! I don't understand why they're not up there with Twice and Blackpink honestly, none of those groups are touching RV in terms of vocals. Wendy is the best singer in all of K-pop to me, but Seulgi tho...that woman is an all around talent and she absolutely has my heart. Her tone is sooo special and she can belt AND run whew. What a gift. I hate how some folks still have Joy classified as a rapper, stop sleeping on my girl's vocal ability because she can hold her own as well. She has such a sweet tone, I love her lol
@@jusballin87 I will never understand the numbers and math when it comes to Red Velvet. The fact that Bad Boy a VISUAL and VOCAL MASTERPIECE only has 351 million views makes no sense. In the 3rd Gen Big 3 GGs they are a GG with 5 ACES. They have the BEST vocal line, a STRONG dance line, INCOMPARABLE visuals, and are multitalented (acting, drawing, hosting, comedy, songwriting). As a group and as individuals, they are featured on more OSTs than other GGs. They deserve more recognition and notoriety.
Couple of fun facts... 1.) Except for a couple of quick superimposed fade-ins, the Be Natural video was shot in 3 continuous takes. 2.) Kingdom Come was also written by The Stereotypes, who also composed Bad Boy. The girls said it was a tricky song to learn how to sing "behind the beat." Another "God-tier" b-side is Body Talk off the ROOKIE mini-album.
The Stereotypes made same great songs for them. In an interview they said it was fun to be able to make R&B now that it's fallen out of favour in the US. They also made Attaboy, which is one of my favourites, but is very different from their usual music, with a hip-hop influence. Sunny side up(there are videos of them performing it on shows) & Look(one of the very few that has a dance practice video, quite a cool one although the camera is a bit far back) are among other excellent b-sides, it's a shame more songs didn't get music videos.
Yo I'm so excited you reacted to Be Natural, it's my 2nd fav Red Velvet track and mv after Bad Boy. I was so excited when I discovered this. As I've told yall, I'm 33 years old so this is EXTREMELY nostalgic for me. Its definitely got Janet and TLC vibes for sure at least imho. I fell off the earth when Taeyong came in. Lol all 🎵"TY track...TY track..."🎵 😅🔥♥️ Plus the way the all move perfectly together in unison like SILK during this part 3:07 is really satisfying for me to watch. Especially the chair dance....🤭😏 Ugh, they just *had* to zoom in on Taeyong at 4:11 😩 You should check out the live performances of this when you get a chance. Lastly, vocal wise, there's no one doing it like Red Velvet. Mamamoo is the only other kpop group in my view that even comes close and mf i will die on this hill. I actually just consider this RV song rnb, not kpop even. It's just rnb sung by Korean women. It's still rnb and I love it. It should be all about the music anyway. In a perfect world, all this other arbitrary b.s. like categorizing music by race wouldn't matter.

Definitely take a look at The Perfect Red Velvet album where Kingdom Come came from. It’s my favorite RV album bar none. I think you’ll like Look (I don’t remember if you reacted to their dance practice of it yet but the full song is flames)
Also you mentioned that you didn’t check out Mamamoo’s b-sides. They are HEAT as well. The ones from the Melting Album are my favorite as well as their Four Seasons project. Idk if you know this but Moonbyul did a song with Seulgi called Selfish in the Red Moon EP.

OH MY GOODNESS YES YES YES!! The fact that Be Natural was one of their first songs is insane the Vocals and the CHOREOGRAPHY is insane like legit that choreography was one of the hardest I've seen for many reasons like I tried walking on heels a couple times and I just can't do it I feel like I would fall on my face so tennis shoes are the only things for me really! 🤣😂 And Kingdom Come is so Iconic like all of their B - Sides are AMAZING and there is so much of them thats why I love their B - Sides so much because it feels like I'm listening to it for the first time again it is Amazing and their Vocals/Rap is just Phenomenal, anyways I can't wait for you to react to more Red Velvet such as more Music Videos, B - Sides, Live Performances, Covers, Dance Practices, Moments, and of course Ships! It would be a crime if you didn't react to Perfect 10, Sunnyside up, and Eyes Locked Hands Locked - these are some of the best Velvet side songs by Red Velvet. If these songs don't give you that R&B fix, then I don't know what will lol
I skipped to the Kingdom Come section cause it's one of my all time favorite songs ever and I LIVE for finding channels that have reacted to it. Before you played I was like, "You don't know what you're getting yourself into" 😂😭 I wish I could listen to Kingdom Come for the first time all over again cause it's such an experience and a musical time machine.

i forgot somethin kinda crazy another great listen!! for the irene and seulgi subunit their songs feel good and diamond really show off their vocals especially Irene's! those lil run offs were seulgi but Irene is also a great vocalist... her and yeri are leading the lower harmonies the majority of the time! going off the rb train both irene and yeri have solo stuff with irene having the solo song for her movie white night/a collab called the only and yeri has her song called dear diary/these days plus other features :) not sure if they would fit your music taste but obviously shows off their vocals well
Red velvet did this song justice. Believe it or not but be natural is a remake from the ICONIC first SM girl group S.E.S. Ik I push for S.E.S a lot in your comment section but they are just THAT good You should check out the original.
We all told you Kingdom Come would destroy you. 😂 When I first started listening to Red Velvet, I was heavy on the Velvet side. All of the Velvet songs sound different but are just as much of a vibe. Have legit just put on a playlist of just their Velvet bops and vibed out before. They really do have soul. That extra oomph. I hope their comeback is more on the Velvet side as well. To be fair, half of the B-sides on Queendom were Velvet or heavily leaning towards Velvet. Regardless, MUCH EXCITE! Thanks for the reactions!
