honestly, after becoming a reveluv, my standard for kpop groups' b-side tracks had never been so high. in most groups nowadays, i am only anticipating what their title tracks will sound like. but with rv, it's always a must to look into their b-side tracks and get drown to each song because everything is a masterpiece. i may sound biased right now but no one can deny the fact that *red velvet set the standards so high on b-side tracks.*
f(x) paved the way for these innovative b-sides tbh. They were SM's 'experiment', which turned out to be a major success. I definitely recommend tracks like Rude Love, Butterfly, Airplane, Rainbow and Deja Vu. Red Velvet and f(x) deserve a lot more respect for their discographies.
I always love how they have many great songs, not just the title. It's like listening to The Beatles (i know, no one can compare to Beatles), but it's some thing like that. You can always listen to the whole album.

OCpenkle I just watched Red Velvet's appearance on Old School Radio. Watching how much they really enjoy listening to their own songs is a real treat. And Wendy talks about how her favorite part of the recording process is adding all the ad-libs and vocal layering at the end, which really makes the songs come alive. It's on revelupsubs.
Wendy and seulgi's adlibs at the ending chorus gave me life. It had so much musicality to it and they were slaying those runs Btw wendy's low notes killed me 3:00 Best main vocal in the new gen

Irene's Holy Visual Red Velvet is more popular than Black Pink basically everywhere but RU-vid(no hate towards BP btw). They sell very well and are beloved in Korea
You can compare Red Velvet to Twice, Blackpink or even to the other generations, but you can't deny the amazing scope of RVs music, from their instrumentals inspired from Pop, RnB, hiphop, Trap, Soul, Gospel; their variety of vocals from the girls and of course their unique Red/Velvet Concepts. Other groups may have more charisma, more style and better choreography, but Red Velvet has the best music of this generation.

jan kees 90’s R&B! Artists like TLC and Aaliyah! Also more modern artists like Partynextdoor and Blackbear have some song similar to this sound (but not quite as their songs are a little more faster pace) But 90's R&B is where you'll find this sound.

That last "I love you....till kingdom come" puts a lump in my throat, butterflies in my stomach, makes me fall in love and breaks my heart all at the same time. This is one of the best RnB pop songs you'll ever hear, period.

Wendy's vocal in this track is heavenly. Even the backing vocals built by her is astonishing. They wouldn't have been able to make this track as good as it is now if it weren't for Wendy... We really really need to appreciate Wendy more

Those who don't listen to Red Velvet's whole album are seriously missing out. I do admit that Red Velvet is not as popular as Twice and Blackpink but i can surely say that their whole discography is on another calibre altogether. The two later do not even come close to what Red Velvet has done so far.
seulgi's voice come then yeri complements her with her gorgeous vocals, so wendy come with that "never ever ever ever" showing her agility and amazing control over her voice with irene complementing with "i got you you got me" that sounds Gorgeous then joy comes with that beautiful vocal color in her lower register finishing with seulgi's adblis who makes me shiver is the prettiest sequence that musical industry has EVER experience
When it comes to rnb, red velvet understood the assignments 100%. Like ngl there are great rnb kpop groups but red velvet they are untouchable when it comes to rnb. Their vocals and instruments just blends so well together like broooooooooooo. And especially that wendy’s voice is more built for western/rnb style it just makes all their songs 100x better. Like the queen of RnB goes to RED VELVET.

Honestly this album actually shows their versatility and their vocals. This album has almost all the genres. The word “almost” is there. Every album, their b-sides are the killer.
Ugh they sound SO DAMN GOOD when they sing in a lower key like this! If I could have my way I'd make Wendy and Seulgi sing like this more often the way they do on this album, it really gives things that extra "oomph" type of feel
Two years after this masterpiece I still can't help but feel the chills hearing that harmonization and adlibs. It's that they created art in such a brutal way.

Just bought and listened to the Perfect Velvet album. Though all the songs were amazing in their own magnificent ways, Kingdom Come is the track I always put on repeat and is on its way to becoming not only one of my favorite RV "Velvet" tracks, but also becoming one of my all time favorite RV songs! ❤️
I hate myself for sleeping on red velvet I heard about them two years ago but I didn’t check out all their songs cause I thought they are a typical kpop girl group 😩
