You really need to see the Seulgi and Irene SM Rookies-Be Natural dance. i agree that i listen to kpop for the other styles of music that we just don't have anymore, it's the same for jrock, we don't actually have rock or metal (excluding death, cores, and djent) anymore. Even rap's lost it's meaning here. i'd jump on any American train that brought back some flavor too.

I'm with you Bris! Growing up with early rap and r&b I really like red velvets fresh spin on the sound. I like their title track but I really groove to the rest of their songs on the albums! Like for example this song!

I fully get you on the nostalgia bit. I was a teen in the early 90's with TLC and En Vogue being my absolute favorite groups which is probably why I love Red Velvet so much. I also like that in K-Pop they don't remix old songs but instead produce new ones in that style. They stay true to the core of the sound with a layer of new on top and they do it so damn well.

I 100% agree about your comment regarding kpop and the nostalgic sound it brings. It's what got me into kpop as well! It's like the whole genre took the mantle in terms of carrying R&B past the early 2000s. Love your reactions!

What you mentioned about the sound and the nostalgic feeling it gives you with some of the artist and songs is exactly one of the reasons why I love Kpop so much it reminds me of what I would hear my parents play in the car when I was a kid, I'm only 19 so it's not necessarily music that was on when I was a a young teenager but it's music that I heard all the time when I was a kid from my parents and it really does suck because you don't hear that in American Music as much anymore

I got into Kpop for the same reason about a year ago. I just like those beats that remind me of the early 2000s and 90s. Nowadays there are hardly songs outside of kpop that catch my attention like it used to be about 5-10 years ago.
