Exactly, now kpop is more global so most of the artists have gone for sounds that are kind of popular in the west, however old kpop is like zimzalabim, super experimental and fearless. I love that red velvet are not afraid of changing their music, they really stand out among other kpop artists.

yes!! i got into kpop with songs such as snsd's i got a boy, i really liked the odd and experimental style of kpop. however, a lot of groups have a more global side nowadays which i find quite boring, which is why i really stick to listening to whatever sm releases, it's usually super interesting.

Expect the unexpected from Red Velvet..? Lol, they have two main concepts, it really can’t go further than that. A song with random structure is unexpected indeed, but the rest of their songs are just... pretty expected songs. Good songs, but expected, lol.

There's NO OTHER kpop group who has come close to this much versatility concepts and discography-wise... all other GGs either do Cute, sexy or Girl-crush, which RV has done it all since the beginning! There are many sub-concepts and Genres in what they offer... so pleaseshow me a group that does dare to do a concept like Power Up after Bad Boy concept and next with an RBB contrast! That's why even when you're a Hardcore ReVeluv, you don't know what they're gonna bring to the table in next comeback! Also if it so expected, why do soo many people seem to still not get Red Velvet's songs ?! It's JUST 2 concepts and VERY expected, right ?

@@najibsultan9765 actually just at this one and another one. I love RV and I love the album as a whole. It's just that Zimzalabim didn't do it for me. What I love about rv and overall about sm is, that they are not afraid to do things other producers wouldn't do but Zimzalabim is just a bit too much. I love certain parts of Zimzalabim but I dislike the song as a whole.
