All strings. I always liked mountain music. When I was stationed @ Bragg, I danced and truly enjoyed the music. I met nice folks @ Southern Pines and other small towns. I still remember the joy of the good times spent there. I was a young paratrooper far away from home, but I found a new family with them. I’ll always appreciate their warmth and kindness. May the Lord be always with them.

That was great I grew up on this song am 70 now mom is 3 months will be a 100 years old she play it on her harmonica all them years up to about her 80,s I think, an many more love hearing her play it so now I still play it some times on my guitar, but when I her it some one playing it make me think of here thank sound so go take , God Bless,

Beautiful story. My great grandfather wrote this song (dad side) but my mom too, would sing the chorus to my bro and I but we were more preoccupied with rock n roll lol when we were young.🤷‍♀️ Every now and then I check this song out on here (he wrote more but this was most popular) and see what ppl are saying and your comment caught my attention. You're so blessed to have your mama this long and I'm sooooo hoping she made it to her 100th birthday! 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Peace!
