His show is extremely popular. Even though we think he sucks, there are plenty of people who don't see it. The same way a lot of pop music I find unbearable is loved by millions. It's all subjective
fr once he points some things out you just can't unsee it. At first I hated him and thought he was wrong on several things but as I continued watching the people he covers the more I started to see it too. The give it a year slogan really is perfect for the show.
I like how the catty gay man Tony says he was bullied in school and the first story he tells is how he tried to bully someone and got socked in his DSLs. Perfectly sums up his entire "career".
My theory is Tony has stayed closeted this whole time because he was afraid to tell Rogan when they first met so he's just had to pretend to be straight ever since so he doesn't have to look like a FOOL

Just to clarify, Youngstown OH is probably one of the worst cities to go to in Ohio. So yes, even though he did grow up there. I'm sure he grew up in non-dangerous side of Youngstown. I went from this worldly feeling of being beat up/disappointment-by myself & the world-to the greatest feeling I ever felt. He is there for us, we just have to accept Him, not carry hate, have true Faith*, & have a relationship (see the signs & acknowledge the BIessings; you don’t call on Him last, trust in him, seek&youshaIIfind/ask&youshall…, ‘overfill your cup’.).

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Redbar Radio. The jokes are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of modern sub-cultures most of the jokes will go over a typical listener's head. There's also Mike's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these esoteric jokes, to realise that they're not just putting fools on notice - they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Mike David truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Redbar's genius unfolds itself on their smartphone screens.
