Lyrics:
Hail (hail)
What's the matter with your head, yeah
Hail (hail)
What's the matter with your mind
And your sign an-a, oh-oh-oh
Hail (hail)
Nothin' the matter with your head
Baby find it, come on and find it
Hail, with it baby
'Cause you're fine
And you're mine, and you look so divine
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
Hail (hail)
What's the matter with you feel right
Don't you feel right baby
Hail, oh yeah
Get it from the main vine, all right
I said-a find it, find it
Go on and love it if you like it, yeah
Hail (hail)
It's your business if you want some, take some
Get it together baby
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
Come and get your love, now
(repeat x4)
Hail (hail)
What's the matter with you feel right
Don't you feel right baby
Hail, oh yeah
Get it from the main vine, all right
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
Come and get your love
Come and get your love

Not many comments have mentioned this but I much prefer the full version rather than the radio edited version. It's way better. I loved this song as a child and I still love it as an adult.

My dad's friend used to live in Alberta. His friend decided to move down to live with us and try to find a job and get settled in our small town. Overtime me and my sister created an amazing bond with him, he would usually be at the house when my dad was at work so I saw him alot, because of this he also drove us to school and picked us up. On the way to school we would listen to the gaurdians of the galaxy cd and always play this song. This is always nistalgic to listen to. Just last year he left on the week of my birthday to head back. I honestly miss him alot. I just got the 3rd cd and when I listened to the full version in our truck with my dad the nistalga hit hard

i like both equally actually. hell yeah man , just as good now as it was in childhood and teen years ! good music knows no age, it is timeless. I am 43 but i grew up being around all kinds of music, from big band and swing, artists like frank Sinatra, Nat king Cole, Elvis, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, o'jays, kool and the gang, four tops, Led Zeppelin, etc etc. and since i was 4 and 5 years old i was jamming out to that, as well as many others from Motown, rock n roll, blues, soul, rnb, reggae, funk, and more, i never cared much for country or that techno stuff, but i have had my own radios and tape players since i was 3 years old, and i was just naturally drawn to and craved music. good music is good music.

Lolly, Pat, Tony and DePoe are inspirations to all Native Americans who play rock music! They inspired me to embrace all types of music as well. I'm a Chickasaw Native American from Oklahoma and saw REDBONE at least 6 times in the 70's, Awesome live band!!!! They more than deserve to be inducted into the Rock hall of fame! Prehistoric rhythm with a King Kong beat! NATIVE PRIDE!!!!

We're Lolly, Pat, Tony & DePoe all brothers of the same Vegas family, or just the first three? I too remember QUITE WELL the original and quite polished sound of the great REDBONE, and what makes this upload even more special, is that it is the FULL UNEDITED ALBUM VERSION, that was RARELY played on Los Angeles or major market radio stations, just the heavily edited down single version just over 3 minutes. There was even a "white label 45RPM radio promotional version" that was edited down even greater, not lasting more than about 2-1/2 minutes. This FULL version, along with it's slow & melodic introduction is the FULL DEAL! In closing, any thoughts on the brotherhood question first posed? Much thanks! BCRadio

This is absolutely fantastic that another generation is enjoying this song. I first liked this song when it came out back in 1973, the summer before I graduated high school. Does that make me an old man? You bet! Does that mean I can still jam? You bet! It just hurts more when I do. 😉

I feel so lucky to be born in the 2000s, hearing all of these songs. Throughout my life, things have always seemed much better when I remember them. The stress of the present always takes away from the true value of things, so I'm glad I can have an idealistic place in the past all inside my head where I can go to to escape, thinking, "ah, things were so much better back then" like I had not only lived farther back than I have, but with a happy sort of headspace. I know that if I actually lived the time, my mind would be plagued by anxiety and depression like it always has been, but this song brings me back to a place where anxiety and depression don't exist. But that place will never be truely real, no matter how real this song makes it seem, and that's why listening to songs before your time where you have no past experiences surrounding it's release is so special. Songs are usually viewed as a set range of emotions, and because this song was made before I was born, it's incredibly easy to just generalize the whole 1970s as something incredibly positive and feel good about it. Though it is sad that almost all the times I feel the happiest are when thinking about things that are fake, I guess that being able to generate such happy things in your head while if you look around your world is like a clogged drain with all the muck and trash stuck visible on the ground is a skill in of itself. Sometimes I wonder how I can both be stressed and depressed, but also feel really happy (though it doesn't happen as often any more, there are downsides to being forced to mature by the world around you and your anxiousness to just progress and get to that point (hopefully it's there) where everything is just easy to handle already). Idealism, I guess. I end up reminding myself time and time again that boy is that a skill I'm greatful for having, when I look at the world in the perspective of how depressing things are but don't really feel the brunt of reality (denial has it's upsides; I'm torn between hating ot and loving it. It is both the reason I'm in this mess (I hope; that would make things a lot easier for me to handle) and the reason why I've gotten so far with this mess on my shoulders in the first place. I'm stubborn, don't know when to give up, and love it that way for what it's done for me). (Lol this is an essay and a half; I've admitted a lot and through all the parentheses I'm not even sure if there was anything else I wanted to say. Glad I'm still satisfied with this output, though, instead of being uncomforted by any waning feeling of incompletion. I should probably leave this comment at here before it gets too close. All in all, I'm happy for what I've said. ^._.^ But sometimes, I wonder if the little text emojis I input are really true or not. Damn, why did I have to leave this comment on a depressing note? Oh well.)

Eva This is my favorite Redbone song but they wrote and played much wonderful music. Look all through RU-vid . You can get their songs on I tunes etc. if you look on Facebook you can find a couple of fan groups and sign a petition for them to be in the rock and roll hall of fame. They deserve it. their being “native” “First Nation” people just makes it better. For those of you that say part Mexican; please remember that many Mexicans are still First Nation people and not mixed with Spanish, not that it would take away from who they were and what they accomplished. Many people are of mixed heritage and it doesn’t make them less of who they identify with. That’s what Redbone means.

Discovered their discography since hearing this song in multiple commercials, they definitely need a documentary. And their discography is fire. They should've scored more hits.

What decade had the most masterful musicians & the best evolutionary new music? 40's (big bands), 50's (early rock), 60's (top 40 rock), 70's (classic rock, balladeers & disco), 80's, 90's, 2000's or 2010's?

Native American rock band REDBONE wrote Come and Get Your Love ( which introduced movie "Guardians of the Galaxy" and is theme song of "F is for Family"). Listen to Maggie,Tennessee Girl, Wovoka, , Custer Had it Coming, One Monkey, When You Got Trouble, One More Time (in movie: "Person to Person"), Nikki Hokey (covered by dozens of artists), Crazy Cajun Cakewalk Band (also covered by dozens of artists), and many more. They introduced Earth Day to the world in Philadelphia on April 22,1970 with great song "Chant 13Th Hour." Lead singer Lolly Vegas co-wrote Cyndi Lauper hit "Hey Now, Girls Just Want to Have Fun". Listen to Halloween favorite "Witch Queen of New Orleans". See Documentary "Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked The World". They are in the Smithsonian- and positively belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Check out www.Redbone-Band.com
