You hit this one out of the park! Right on! I'm torn on the body, i like it for sure, guess I'll have to try it and let it grow on me. I'm pretty sure the trx4m gear upgrade fits, so no need to wait. The aluminum shock towers are like plastic links and skid.. not a necessity for performance except for durability, but they look so damn good! Thank you! Great build.
@@You_no_viking i had heard that all of the gear upgrades work, over and under, but just received info from a buddy who said that while they fit.. it's not a smooth fit, and he decided not to use them. The transmissions seem identical but apparently they are not. My apologies.
So i literally just did upgrades on my accent 18 last night. All was good and got it to crawl at a 53 degree angle. BUT i was really disappointed with Redcats steering linkage. It has no where near the travel that the plastic stock does. Not only does it restrict steering, but articulation slightly. I kept the plastic "tire to tire" linkage but changed the one short one fromnthe solenoid to the bronze bar. I should try the bronze one but looks like its not a fully thought out design. Guess i shouldn't knock it til i try it, maybe the plastic ones have excess travel, but in handling them not installed there was way more range of motion on the plastic.
Furthermore I added a set of aftermarket wheels tires and super stretched my rear links with custom tubing for all links for a grand total of about 225 dollars rig and all big difference huh?
I try to install the injora 7kg servo on my ascent 18 but you need to pass the file on the servo attachment because she are too thick. After this you can install the servo but you lost 2 mm of down travel suspension because this servo have 2 mm more thickness than the factory and hit the plastic between the chassis rail.
Yeah. What is meant was the upgrades arectwicevthe cost of the rig. I realized how I said it after the edit. O well I think i still got the point across.
Yeah let's put a thousand dollars worth of upgrades in a 99 dollar crawler forget that I'll purchase the ascent fusion for a third of that price just saying
