Erick Padilla is, most definitely, one of the best when it comes to custom patina paint jobs. He took my Vanquish VS4-10 Phoenix body, and turned it into a "lightly rusted, but very well-taken-care-of FJ40" body, for which he also did custom "Phoenix Restoration" decals (Erick, if you're reading this, I'm sure you'll remember). Simply, one of the most amazing custom RC painters around. Sad to say that, since moving to Las Vegas, and not having enough room for all my RCs, I had to get rid of several (with some more to be sold in the near future), which included all is my crawlers. While I no longer have the VS4-10 Phoenix, or the body Erick painted, I do, at least, have the photos I took off his incredible work.

I have a picture from the concourse at Proline By The Fire it caught my eye little did I know it was one of the new Redcats. It was the patina one. But they had the unveiling right after concourse it was awesome. 👍

I cant wait to see someone put a killer brushless setup in one of these and maybe even a 2 speed transmission! imagine this thing flying down the road at like 40mph 😂

Love the patina truck! But keep in mind, diamond aluminum does not get patina. It dulls, not rusts. Its aluminum.

I don't understand the attraction to real patina, much less fake. I can see it being a badge of honor when it's real but that's about it. The red and blue look great on that truck. The fake rust and weathering.... to each their own.

I can't wait to get one and make a vintage motorhome. Then use the hauler bed as a car stand/work ramp in my scale garage.

I ordered a blue one from my LHS and he said I would be lucky to see it before the end of November. 😢
