What about adding a 61 or 65 impala body those are definitely my dream cars along with the 59 I love the way it looks though jevries keep up the good work hopefully my dre will come true 👍
🙂 nice ……I think #1-#10 are gonna be the ones to hold on to, especially #1…. & # 59 …🤔 n # 590 …. & # 1000 ….. and actually #1 - # 100 ….but really any # ….i ordered one too 🙂 can’t wait ….. I gotta open mine 🤗 …… can you imagine the ones that never get opened 😳 then 59 years later an unopened one gets sold and opened 😳 it’s gonna be epic, crazy
@@jevries how much would # 59 of 1000 be worth 🤔 ? ……. if I get #59 😳🤦🏻♂️….. I won’t open it … 🤔 I’ll sell it only to another person that bought another collector 59, cause I’ll trade my 59 for theirs along with some cash cause I want to open mine 🙂 ……and they can keep # 59 locked up forever 😳 🙃
The weight of the servo's and drive motor is the biggest issue with the Monte Carlo. I moved my servo's to the rear so they sit in front of the suspension. I also moved the drive motor to the back. Short servo horns give the setup more speed and power as well. Drive shaft needs to be shaved so that when the car is locked up it can spin freely.
This 59 LE kit is so sick and on point. I love that Redcat honored you with this one. I’m so happy for you and proud of RC for doing this on your behalf. Now how’s about a 1970-72 or 73-77 Monte Carlo next 🤔😉😜. Just a suggestion. Or 80-89 Monte CL or LS
I love low lows and this car looks sweet but no way in hell it's worth 800 especially when u can get a 5th scale xmaxx for around that price lol. I also think the 61 bubble top amd 62 are far better looking then the 59 body style. With that said it's still clean looking for a rc car that's for sure
I've seen RC semi trucks with less features than these redcats sell for literal thousands of dollars. People will pay for what they like and not everyone wants a basher like an X-Maxx. It's worth 800 when you take into account things like engineering the extremely complex molds for the body, the chrome trim, the wheels, the tires. Licensing a decades old car from a company often more interested in licensing their modern vehicles and their heritage trucks than their heritage cars. This isn't just an RC car, It's more along the lines of an RC Replica. These things fit a very exact genre of the market that no one has ever really explored in a format like this.
@@KearSki when you have the monte at 459 and the 64 599. What makes the 59 worth 200-250 more when there all from the same company and do the exact same thing? How come the 59 is almost twice as much? There the same chassis/electronics in there. They all do the exact same thing. See where I'm coming from? The 59 is a limited run and that's why there so much not because it's better then the other 2. Nothing about the 59 makes it worth 800 and the others 250 less. Same chassis different body is all
@@jeffbryner5355 Amazing, a fairly raised point on youtube. Effectively the extra cost here is the body, such a complex shape doesn't come cheaply, I suppose I should've framed my point in a light of "For a limited run" 800 is too high a price, unless the buyer just really likes the 59' Body style. But at the same time it makes it a safer bet to produce. As the chassis isn't re-engineered so there is cost savings there meaning more of the price can directly "pay for" the new body tooling. On something like a standard release they expect higher sales than one thousand unit so they can price them much much lower to make them more attractive, meaning it will take more units to pay for the tooling but the volume of sales is higher, balancing it out. TL;DR Weird shapes are expensive and they knew they could sell a minimum order batch at a high price to play it safe. These things have to be profitable after all. But, really the point is, people will pay for what they really want, no matter the cost. If someone thinks the price is too high it isn't for them. Also, from what I understand the monte is a slightly different version of the same chassis, tuned more for dancing than hopping.
