@@pat5462pn I haven't seen any speed test on the Vigilante, but it's nearly 4lb heavier than the Xmaxx with equal(ish) electronics so, doubt it.

Yes, that's the recipe right? LOL. I hope this truck might get some aftermarket support.. Never happened with the Kaiju sadly. Too early to say if the Vigilante arms are the issue, but they look like scaled up Kaiju arms to me. The Kaiju "pool noodle" lower arms have been a problem for me since day one 3 years ago. Broken cvds, bent shock shafts, broken upper arms..all due to the over flexing of the lower arms IMO. Sadly no one ever made an upgrade for those. I found that Arrma Mojave 6s lower rear arms can be used all the way around in place of the Redcat pool noodles. I haven't broken a single camber link, (which I replaced the stock upper arms with) or cvd since I installed the Mojave arms onto my Kaiju nearly 2 years ago. Maybe someone will find a similar home remedy for the Vigilante down the road if it needs it.

@@RockSideRC You bet! Sometimes we gotta come up with our own upgrades. The Kaiju is one of my favorite rc's. Just needed a little home brewed upgrades. I love coming up with my own solutions. I'm just guessing about the Vigilante arms, it may be too early to say whether they will be problematic. But yeah, very well possible that an Arrma or even TRX arm may fit..🤷‍♂️ keep up the great content !!👍

It’s a good truck to lightly bash on. It’s not an xmaxx and doesn’t have the same support, but still a good light basher.

Good looks fam, yea the Redcat truck seems to be a really tough truck, for it to just break the arm and pop out a dog bone off that jump especially in the cold weather conditions we have up here in NY, I think it did very well, I’ve had traxxas trucks break arms just bumping into a car tire with stock arms in this cold weather, Redcat is definitely holding down lately 🔥

Yea that's where I'm at and the weather is wicked, nice one day and then the next day it's frosty the snow dog 😂. But yea I have a JATo and a arm was the first thing to break. I don't bash but I must say that I have some tuff cars but the only one that broke is the JATo. Redcat simple smart and light but bulky, your truck is fire graze 💯💯💪🏿

Traxxas has been in business longer than Redcat so would not be surprised by the outcome...

@frestkd they all break the same way. Redcat had the time to research and develop a comparable 5th scale monster truck. I love traxxas also, but Redcat did a good job on this.

I agree, so many people say if it can't survive a 60mph jump, or 25' at the skatepark, it's junk..really?! C'mon, these things almost never survive that treatment without throwing a "fat stack" worth of upgrades into them. If Talbot, or whomever wants to send it to the moon, sure, I'll watch and laugh, but if it's my money? Nah, I'm good. I don't need a $3-5k rc. I know the Xmaxx is tough, have one, love running it too, but to suggest it will withstand what KT does without breaking? Nope. I like KT too BTW, an amazing success story, fun guy, he deserves what he has IMO. Just don't expect me to imitate him! LOL.

@RockSideRC Thanks bro! Yeah all joking aside on traxxas pretty much any rc brand can definitely break arms just ripping it around offroad just general bashing and rolling over. Only time will tell for any rc if there are truly any weak points. I really like this truck and will add one to my redcat collection! (Kaiju, machete, trmt10e) All have been great!

@spike-- Funny I don't seem to have any of my arrmas shaped as tacos. Then again I don't send them 30' in the air and if I did a m2c chassis would fix that. Keep on buying your overpriced, overrated traxxas trucks with outdated.....everything lol. Traxxas survives off nostalgia and their fanboys. They are the yuppies and kids brand of choice. But hey buy what makes you happy is what I say. They're not for me. So many better brands and better value out there imo and I choose to support those companies over traxxas.
