Early comedy used a lot of wordplay, storytelling and poetic devices... I digs that. Today, they still have the storytelling, but not much wordplay or poetry. It's much more physical and situational.

In 1985 I was 17, I went to Las Vagas with my dad. I Was walking through the casino kind of fast. Well as I was rounding the corner and BAM! I ran smack into Red Foxx & knocked him right on his ass. I was a big kid but his bodyguards were bigger. I thought they were going to kill me, Red hollered stop he didn't mean to do that. He got up shook my hand and went on his way.

I wasn't born during this time and I still wasn't born when he died (born in 1994).. so maybe that's why I don't find any of it funny ... 🤷🏽‍♀️ I didn't laugh once lol. Ah well.
