I’ve never had any problems with the primer’s flipping it’s worked perfectly for many rounds large and small

To get the redding priming system to work you need a priming tray to flip the primers so the anvil is pointed away from you when you place them into the tube. Hopefully this helps

I used the priming tray to flip the primers over. The primers were oriented properly in the tube but would flip over when I pulled the handle back to pick up a fresh primer out of the tube.

@@DoubleEagleGunworks Im sorry about that happening as far as the primers flipping. Mine is the exact setup that you see on Squatch Reloading channel. We worked out a trade for my Dillon 750XL. He, of course had a fantastic setup already. My priming operation works pretty good. I just have to grab the back of the unit to give it a little extra oomph, while pushing the handle up, to make sure the primers are seated properly. If I "weak wrist" it, Ill have the primer poking out a bit. Other than that its great.

@@searcher9 I will have to check out the channel you mentioned.

,@scott No that doesn't help. The aluminum housing that holds the priming components is machined for large size primer tubes and priming rams. When you run small size primers with small primer tubes and a small primer ram through the one-size-fits-all aluminum housing, they jam up and flip because of dumbass design of the aluminum one size fits all housing block they go into. I bought two of them and wasted a ton of money on it. The only way to make it work that I can see is to have a aluminum housing machined for small primers and a separate machined aluminum housing for large size primers. It's not a matter of flipping them in a primer tray you don't know what you're talking about.

@@searcher9 it has nothing to do with operating the handle is everything has everything to do with a dumbass one-size-fits-all aluminum housing to put large and small prime tubes and large and small primer Rams and large and small primers through the same aluminum block receptor.

I wish they made a 3 hole Turret for this press.

What would be the benefit of a 3 hole version?

Hi yeah not good with your priming situation, as I've never had an issue with large or small worked fine! Just a note could be the plastic primer holder, maybe a bit too big to allow primer to roll? Have a look I suppose because mine is a close fit for both thus no issue. Good vid and thanx!
@DoubleEagleGunworks

The tubes that hold the primers on mine are aluminum and seem to be the right size. The end used to pick up the primers is tight on the primer, but it may open up too much on the inside. I stopped using the primer attachment and just use a hand primer.

Hi, actually at first, I was hand priming with the Lee and due to not having the strength to squeeze due to pain etc, I swapped to the press, since then haven't looked back. Oh just to say, keep things for the redding, there'd be a sure way to fix it! I like to have a couple of options, if option 'A' fails me! Hope you work it out! Kind regards!@@DoubleEagleGunworks

That press looks like it may have had 2 maybe 3 bullets loaded on it. That automatic priming tool is a waste of money because they make the housing large enough for large pistol and large rifle primers when you use small pistol and small rifle primers they jam up flip and cause all kinds of problems they need a separate housing for large or small primers for it to work properly. I wasted 150 bucks on that crap
@DoubleEagleGunworks
@DoubleEagleGunworks Год назад
It hasn’t been used as much as I would like it to have been. As for the priming tool, it has been removed. The primers kept flipping over as I pulled the lever. I double checked to make sure they were loaded in the tube correctly. They were loaded right. They just kept flipping when I pulled the lever to load it in the cup. I finally got tired of it and removed the thing. It definitely needs some improvement.

@@DoubleEagleGunworks I have had the exact same problem. I had a primer flip and pop the tube up and spilled a whole tube of primers all over the place and that was the last straw. I think the problem is redding trying to make a universal aluminum housing that is big enough for large primers. When you use small primers in it they get sideways and jammed up. It is a dumbass design from Redding. The one commentator saying you use a primer flip trade to turn the primers over is dumber than a box of primers.
@DoubleEagleGunworks
@DoubleEagleGunworks Год назад
@@Mike-xi4zt mine came with what was supposed to be a large and a small primer tube, but even the one that was supposed to be for small primers let the things flip.
@Mike-xi4zt
@Mike-xi4zt Год назад
@@DoubleEagleGunworks. it is the aluminum housing block they fit into that is the problem. large and small primer tubes and large and small primer rams go into the same aluminum block. The aluminum block itself allows primers to flip and get jammed up because they're making a one-size-fits-all aluminum block. There needs to be a separate aluminum block for small primers and a separate aluminum block for large. Yes there are separate small and large tubes and yes there are separate small and large priming Rams. Redding wants you to use both sizes of tubes and rams in the same housing and it doesn't work worth a sh*t.
