If you havent played dawn of war you dont know what the best game is

I was so happy when 40k wasn't as popular... I never had to read or listen to the dumbest takes from both sides of an, at the end of the day, a fabricated controversy. What a lack of media literacy does to opposites of a ''political' spectrum (if whining in soy or whining in chum could be considered political positions) Fellas, please, if you are starting to get into warhammer or have been in the hobby for not so long please, oh please, read some old lore, I'll personally send you a ton of old manuals if you contact me, it's a blast and really put things into perspective. Also take a look at the Inq28/Inquisimunda community, that's just a recommendation to see incredibly original takes on 40k models.

How many people actually consciously realized that one of the space marines in your team has a prosthetic arm? I would bet not many, because no one made it into a talking point, it's just something he happened to have, not some sort of political statement or virtue signal to appease some DEI guidelines. Space Marines risk their lives fighting the worst the enemies of humanity have to offer and sometimes you lose limbs and they get replaced. Same with the dreadnaught, the guy in the dreadnaught is basically completely paralyzed, barley alive and its the most epic entity on the battlefield. That is way cooler than having someone in a wheelchair controlling a robot.

Honestly if they had at least 6 more operations and a bit more complexity with the pvp system and a few more enemy variety and this would’ve been a strong 8-9/10

Dawn of War 1 is a masterpiece.

People saying it needs a 30 hour campaign are being delusional. Name me one shooter, first or third, that isnt an RPG, that is that long. Every cod game, ever gears game, every halo game, even single player shooters like bioshock... All sub 10 hour campaigna. With the exception of halo 5 every halo game has had 8-9 hour campaigns. 30 hours for a shooter with zero rpg elements is fucking insane and has never once happened in all of gaming history.

Being too short is not a bad complaint for your game

This goes to show that men are more likely to be combative and disagreeable and there for not a group of people that can be easily manipulated as much as big tech wants to be beside what we like.

As a warhammer 40K fan . The lore is somthing a lot of folk need to dive into just a little bit more .

I mean the Imperium of Man is kind of a cautionary tale, but the entire 40k universe is a cautionary tale, there are no “good guys”

I was facing off against the thousand sons yesterday and they used their secret weapon and summoned what appeared to be qn average reddit moderator... it was summarily defeated tho... but not before throwing a tantrum.

I don't care for the over the top attacks on different groups, unnecessary. But, I don't think asking for good games that aren't preaching (about anything) is crazy. Look at how games are doing now... look at the numbers! Games kinda suck now a days, for a few reasons. "Peter's law"

30h campaign in a shooter were you progress fast is simply impossible without bloating it and decreasing its quality. Maybe the best story fps Spec Ops the line also had about 7h campaign and it was incredible. I much prefer a short gripping campaign . RoboCop also was good and was around 10h, Terminator Resistance also around that length. So yes they could have increased the campaign by around 2 hours but not more without sacrificing quality The criticism at space marine for that is nonsensical. I get criticism at the mp with not enough content. But they focused on a clean bugfree release and they did that much better than near any other aaa release in the last years. If they follow up their roadmap then within 1 year it will have enough content and in 2 years itbshould be awesome in content Overall imo SM2 is a good game not excellent. For that the story is too uncreative and not enough content. But compared to near all other western aaa releases it shines like an atomic bomb. Play SM2 and then go to SW Outlaws😂

Dawn of war 1 is the highest rated RTS game of ALL time. Higher than all starcraft, Warcraft, age of empires titles etc.
