The foremost lesson of the twentieth century is that no war can be prosecuted successfully without air power and that it would doubtless be lost without befitting the application of air power. Momentous developments are taking place across all domains which are deeply affecting the global, regional, & national security environment. Moreover, rapidly emerging technologies and their diverse military applications are making the international and regional security landscape far more complex, volatile, and delicate.
For the last few years, I have been making documentaries about the Founding Father of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam, about some inspirational topics, and also about the PAF history. My PAF friends and my viewers have been asking me to make informative documentaries about the PAF’s present capabilities, particularly with regard to recent modernization and inductions.
In light of this, in recent years, significant initiatives have been taken in various domains including operations, capability enhancement, organization, and training, to make PAF a cutting-edge force and also highlight PAF’s unflinching resolve to ward off any external threat to national security. PAF’s comprehensive plan for the growth of in-country capabilities in the well-established as well as emerging disruptive technologies in Aerospace, Cyber, IT, and Artificial Intelligence domains also supports this argument.
In this regard, I have made two episodes about this subject. In today’s documentary, I will try to talk about the modernization of the PAF, as a whole. In the second part of this documentary, I will further share transformative inductions and modernization of the PAF in the last few years, I will talk about PAF’s recent efforts to synergize her efforts to bridge the gaps through timely inductions programmes. In the second documentary, I will also offer my objective perspective on the one-year extension given to the Air Chief by the Pakistan Government.
