Regarding your comments at the end: First: A pacifist empathetic play through and a cold machine play through would be awesome to watch. Second: With this type of game, it wouldn't hurt to have someone not playing the game screening your comments and you guys avoiding them to help not get spoiled. If you have someone that could do that for you, that is. Fans tend to spoil things a lot in the comments of this game, whether they mean to or not. Loving the play through, even if Mason has me biting my nails in nervous energy every time he holds the controller. LOL Hope the next part is posted soon!
It's funny how wrong Mason's instincts and thoughts are, but in the end he still got a good outcome. It is what it is though, just a game, and it's always fun to watch the differences in gameplay
I do think that choice is a bit misleading though. I looked at all of them my first playthrough and saving Hank still seemed like the best option based on the information lol
Tbh, that's probably what we all saw too while playing that scene hahaha i'm not ashamed to admit that as soon as i realized what happened i restarted the episode 🥰
"the controller is in the hands of somebody who is here to make sensible decisions" - Oak 😂 Yup, you guys have definitely been reading all of the comments 😅😂
the reason Connor was hesitant about Marcus' identity is because of his model. Marcus is a RK200....Connor is a RK800. They're the same model, different production number. Marcus is a prototype of Connor.
It's also said that Marcus was a gift to Carl from Kamski himself so maybe Connor tried to defend him either cuz of his program or for some other reason. If I'm correct then it could be in Cyberlifes interests to hide it or it may be the directive that Kamski left designing the program
@@queensaharaice7376 lol yeah I've noticed a lot of people playing don't notice that. It's why Markus can convert other Androids and why he comes off so much more human and intelligent. The RK series was designed to be investigative so their programing was meant to be more adaptive to better analyze and interpret data found at crime scenes. It's why both Marcus and Connor can both create scenarios in their minds to create or recreate scenes both before or after they occur. Why Connor can probe an androids memory and Markus can convert. It's the same thing being used in different ways that other Android models aren't equipped with. This is also why Kara can't do these things. She's not an RK model Android.
@@goldexperience6479 To me the way he stammers a bit suggests he came across something unexpected which he wasn't sure how to process and less like a coverup backed by his programming.
Making violent revolution decisions as Markus: "Hey, as long as Kara and Alice are alright..." Ohhh boy. If you think these stories don't affect each other, you've got another thing coming.
Lmao I got the same vibe from your comment as I did from Ramsay Bolton. "If you think this has a happy ending, then you haven't been paying attention."
@@dionnel8882 The fact that he said it (or even how they're going about playing) should be enough evidence that they *don't* really know how each storyline affects each other. In any case, this post is heavy handedly leading to a particular conclusion, after they've asked for no spoilers, hints or explanations that could be found/figured out from another playthrough.
Them not realizing that each storyline affects each other is not a spoiler, OP said nothing that's not already implied. It's not a hidden secret in the story lol. But agree to disagree.@@LG_Hakubi
This is chaotic because 4 different personalities are controlling the same 3 storylines. Anyone upset about it being chaotic must not appreciate that they can’t and won’t function harmoniously as one “player”. This just makes Badd Medicine a unique gaming channel! Thank you for a fun new perspective! ❤
@@abisheknair2523to be honest I’m glad they did their own thing and didn’t feel the need to conform to anyone’s view of the correct way to play a choose your own adventure game :/
The audience to Mason Quinn when he spared Chloe: "Just when I thought you couldn't do anything dumber, you go and do something like this..........AND TOTAAALLLY REDEEM YOURSELF!!" -Dumb and Dumber Everyone crushed it this round! 🤣🤘
Hey guys, you probably heard this already, but the gaming community can be really dumb some times, this a game of choices, so there is no wrong choices, do the things you guys wanted, the experience is way better when you're having fun.
It’s more interesting anyway Imagine watching a movie where the protagonist always gets what he wants and nothing bad happens. I’m glad they mess up because the perfect little playthroughs of other RU-vidrs are boring as shit
No no no. The game may have 100,000 different branching paths, but the only acceptable one is the "correct" one as dictated by me. How dare they play the game organically rather than consulting a walkthrough and min/maxing at every available opportunity? My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
9:52 - I don't know if anyone mentioned this in the comments, but I would like to explain this interesting moment that you didn't notice. Connor saw that Marcus's model is RK 200, but Connor's own model is RK 800- this means that Marcus is Connor's prototype, which is why Connor was so embarrassed and kept silent after Hank's question.
do your guys legal system are the same of here in Brazil, where the military have their own justice court to judge only other military crimes? which end up in them pleading innocent every time?☠️ Androids at least are programed to not be biased-
@@codegerman71 welp that explains so much ☠️ androids as judges: 28 STAB WOUNDS!!!!!! 😹requires some level of empathy to give a self defense homicide excuse there, but would be mostly beneficial, specially with speeding up so many cases
On my first play through I made Markus a violent revolutionary and Connor an obedient machine. My second one Markus was a pacifist who wanted to live in peace with humans and Connor was more emotional. Hope you guys are playing it the way YOU want with the choices you'd really make, not based on what you think the audience would judge you for, good or bad. There's so many outcomes.
The proud "Look at us!" y'all exchange after gaining hanks approval was such a wholesome moment. Im glad you guys are having such a good time with this game!
I think you guys missed the date of Amanda's *death* on that photo of her and Kamski. it's a pretty big plot point. also: I was absolutely certain Chloe was dead when I saw that Mason Quinn was in control of that part but thank goodness, he wants to impress Hank so she was spared lol almost gave me a heart attack! 😅
Yeah. So many youtubers miss the fact that Amanda died. I've even seen people not make that connection after talking to the Amanda android AFTER seeing the photo. Lol
@@Joker_JAKamanda isn’t even an android, she’s in Connor’s head, or rather she’s in cyber life servers, which is where Connor connects to to update cyber life on his mission.
I honestly hope that Quinn knows we're just giving him a hard time like a friend ragging on a friend or a sibling. I don't want him to feel like we're actually annoyed or anything, tbh this is more entertaining than when I go watch a pro gamer play the game. There's plenty of channels with professional games that play on extreme hard mode. But this is one of the few channels with some guys around my age trying out some cool games. So when Oak struggles with blocking a spell, Quinn with where the buttons are, Dave with the decisions (you know you would've shot Dechart's wife in the club last video!), or when Answer gets curious about a crazy choice, we're way more entertained than you think.
Relax and have fun. Could things have gone smoother at times? Sure. But the game will continue on anyways. So I'm enjoying seeing different outcomes than when I played the game. So in the end, you're delivering something entertaining. So mission accomplished.
"No violence, AWNSER" "...we'll just see about that" yall are killing me! I love that yiure doing this YOUR way and not entirely based on what you think the audience wants!
"You better not mess up my Cara storylines!" It's fun seeing how protective you guys get of your storylines and previous decisions when the controller switches to another person's hands.
This is your playthrough don't let us dictate your choices. The best part of games like these are seeing other people's choices and the reactions to the choices.
The opening with Oak had me absolutely dying lol. In fairness to us the whole Simon debacle was wildly unexpected😂 I'd love to see your reactions to other versions of the game you guys mentioned at the end. I think you'll be genuinely shocked at some of the outcomes you could've gotten, and how close you've come to some of them.
Honestly, their Marcus's storyline makes a lot of sense. He started out pretty hardcore: From taking the parts from those androids who were begging for their lives in the junkyard, not taking that security guard with them, I mean story-wise it makes sense that this Marcus would have a more aggressive approach to freeing the androids. I know this gameplay may feel frustrating to some, but honestly, it's just character consistency which is good story-telling. Good job guys! 👍
Honestly, heck those comments that are unhappy. This is YOUR playthrough, 4 different people playing 3 stories, with a skill difference between person as well when it comes to controlling videogames (which is fully understandable and actually adds to the fun imo) I wouldn't have it any other way. I am loving seeing the way the game is played differently, if people aren't, they can play it themselves and choose for themselves :) Not everyone needs to play the way to get the "best outcome"
Happens with dang near every Detroit playthrough that goes somewhat "awry". If you can even call it that, considering the game is about choosing your own adventure. The game is great, but the fanbase can be a little overbearing at times.
@@qrowing The problem is that the game isn't actually CYOA, it has more or less two routes with the best story content and they're so obvious and easy that ruining them and making the experience worse for yourself and the viewer expecting you to see the whole story requires conscious effort(like deliberately jumping inside the woodchipper during the Connor chase or not pulling a gun as Marcus for no reason whatsoever). BUT even then, counting the ones mentioned above, the crew did all the story related decision correctly and didn't really ruin anything I think? It's not like those players who just refuse to move during the deviancy house scene with Kara and it results in the girl dying and Kara route being lost forever(I've seen a let's play like that, like I said, it requires straight up deliberate effort). So I'm not sure why people are angry if they're apparently angry. Seems like those comments are not upvoted so I'm not seeing them.
@@DanteRU0312 Few angry comments were deleted right before my eyes. I think you are missing the point: yes, storyline has two clear ways it can end with, but you can lose literally anybody. In any route, any person or any combination of characters. And for most there is only one good ending - with everyone alive. And so they are pissed, bc we clearly FAR from getting that. Rip Simon btw. If someone wants THAT one golden ending - it IS ruined game play for them
They seen that Connor can constantly return from the dead and said, 'lets kill him every chance we get' lolol I lowkey actually appreciate this because even when replaying the game, I find it difficult to make decisions I would not normally make/miss certain QTE's. So this has actually been pretty refreshing
YESSSSS!! Will there be more BADD decisions? 🤭 Can't wait to watch this after work 🥰 I really hope you guys will play DBH a second time. I am sure a lot of us would be watching again 😊
I said it once and I’ll say it again. Please consider playing Until dawn. You guys can each pick which character you want to be and try and survive to the end. These type of games I think are perfect for you guys. Especially now since they just announced they’re making it into a film
No, that wouldn't work. Not every character gets equal screentime so it would be so unbalanced with who has the controller. SPOILERS Anyone with Josh, Jess or Matt would be fated to watching the game as a film 🤷🏾♀️
The Oak is my MVP, his end analysis was on point. The end discussion in general was a perfect summing up of the game and the options it presents for play. Can’t wait to see what happens next, especially as some of my favorite scenes are coming up and I’m not entirely sure what impact some previous decisions are going to have.
Lmao mason quinn is BLOODTHIRSTY! But anyone unhappy with this playthrough can watch the hundreds of “perfect” playthroughs on youtube. This one is soo unique. It would be interesting to see you guys do a “no one dies” playthrough and a “everyone dies” playthrough. Dang near completely different games
@@DeterminedFC I do not agree. And maybe others won't. At the very least, if some of them want to do replays, and some of us want to watch it... that means it's not ruining it for us ! If some or all of them don't want to, that's their choice. If you don't want to see it, you're not forced to watch it. Everybody's happy this way ! Because only people who wanna do it, do it. And only people that want to watch it do. Problem solved XD
First thing I am going to say, I am proud of Oak for instinctively going to save Hank. It showed Hank's opinion of you jumped to friend. No spoilers, whatever you do is fun to see! Just saying I was cheering at Oaks decision lol. I would be down to see you guys replay this with an attempt at a different outcome. I've seen several, but its fun to see reactions to them!
I love how they were like “Be quiet I’m trying to listen to Hank!” While he drops one of the best lines in the whole game and they missed it 😂 “I wish I could meet my creator in person… there’s a couple of things I’d like to say to him”
I found your channel early last year and have found myself excited for every new upload since. I'm so glad you're playing this game and regardless of your outcome I'm glad you are giving it a go. I definitely understand that some of those quick times can be difficult to get and that some of the choices aren't always clear but you guys are doing a great job, I am loving this playthrough.
That was by far the most thorough sweep of the "Public Enemy" mission I've ever seen on a walkthrough. Looking forward to the next episode guys and trust me when I say the stress you're gonna feel in the very next mission will be intense!
Did you guys know there were three different composers (one for each main character). You can tell by the different sounds. Philip Sheppard made the music for Kara as you hear peaceful, soothing music. Nima Fakhrara does the music for Connor as you hear the electronic/dramatic beats John Paesano (who did the Insomniac Spider-Man music) does the magic for Markus; as you can hear the intense, heroic sound.
I think some people worry that if you get a bad ending you might end up disliking the game and they just want you to have a good experience, but it definitely manifests as them telling you what to do or how to play. I'm sure they mean well, but don't take it to heart or let it sour your experience, if you guys are having fun that's all that matters and i hope you can enjoy the game on your terms😊
When I did the TV station portion, I had left Simon alive, so as Connor I avoided the roof for as a long as I could and did the kitchen scene first 😂 You get stabbed no matter what, so Oak did not fail the mashing part just FYI! I also chose to protect Hank, but didn't realize it would result in my death. Don't worry I got Connor killed twice and was able to recover 😂 Also, I like that Diamond Dave is so fiery all the time; but he tends to get Kara a lot, so he channels that energy into protecting Alice 🤣 Don't know if he has kids, but it gives off protective Dad energy lol
@@DaphneBourneYup, I've done that too! I was speaking on my very first playthrough, but I'm a completionist and have been going back through the chapters to unlock different paths 😂
a tip for next time you're in the garden where you talk to amanda - explore a bit more!! you might find something interesting/crucial for the future🤔so excited to see where you guys end this!!
Dave saying "no violence" when the violent path was clearly taken made me laugh. 60% Violent, I think it's to late Dave XDD Well there was the last choice of the chapter so not really. But it was funny after all the destroying part ^^
I'd like to cast my vote for you guys doing replays of this game! There's so many ways the story can branch out so it'd be interesting to see your reaction to those different scenarios.
Rose is great! First Luther and now Rose It was about time that Alice and Kara stumbled upon someone nice after the first interactions they had Their luck is changing
1:42:53 This conversation when Answer realizes Mason took out the two humans xD priceless!! And Mason is like "if you're going to nitpick" laughing hard again!! Also, yes, Todd needed to go so don't feel bad about it xD I love your interactions
I found your channel a few days ago and have been binging these videos nonstop. I love how y’all switch off and have such dynamic choices. It would be amazing to see a replay of this game sometime in the future! Anxiously awaiting more content! ♥️
Speaking of Redemption. You guys are gonna Love RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 , its a nice long story driven game with an open world so you can go anywhere and do anything as an Outlaw in the Old West.
It is one of if not the best game ever made but I don’t think it would fit this channel. It’s over 40 hours and I feel like there’s almost too much creativity/exploration for ppl inexperienced with games as these dudes are. No hate against them but I feel like it would take months to finish that game. Would love to see them experience the story though
@@trevorsmith572 I know what you mean and yes it would take us a long long time to finish the game because you have so much stuff that you can do in the game, but yes I want also that the guys experience this incredible game.
It's not similar at all. Even the nicest people can decide to make mean choices simply because they know it's a game. They might choose something they never would otherwise. Playing this game a certain way has no bearing whatsover on the type of personality someone may or may not have. Someone playing GTAV running over a pregnant woman says nothing about their personality.
1:11:25 "My Name is Markus, and just like you, I was a Slave. An "Object." --- I get it, but can't help but feel a bit whiplashed bc how good Carl was to him. I mean, the guy treated him like a son more than his own.. "but then I chose to open my eyes, & take back my freedom & decide who I wanted to be".. again, you did that Markus? or did Carl literally say those words to you? And pushed your mind to learn to think for yourself? remember that entire painting scene he was so proud of you for? Again, I get it.. but c'mon. Out of all actually abused Androids, I feel it's a bit disingenuous to claim to have lived a life as an object" while with Carl.. but that's just me. I stan Carl.
I love how Dave picks on Oak so much for his decisions but Oak so far has chosen most if not all of the "best" choices for "good endings" and meanwhile almost all of Dave's shouts of "no do this instead!" would've let them down a dark path xD
Guysss... do YOUR thing. It's about what YOU guys would do. Comments can be helpful sometimes for sure, but people get pretty intense with choice-based games, don't let that disrupt your choices.
i wanna thank you guys so much for playing this game. i didnt know anything about it but watched the first few episodes and i had to go and get it myself and write my own story first before spoiling it. Its such an underappreciated masterpiece imo, i wish more games would follow a format like this, theres really nothing like it. I havent had anything make my heart race or rip my heart out like this game in a long time. a lot of choices i made ended up being pretty low percentage, but going back and seeing what other crazy stuff happens is wild, and theres really an infinite number of ways a persons playthrough could go..
One point you guys missed(not a spoiler but a clue).... .....when you scanned the picture in Kamski's place that showed Amanda. Amandas birth date and death date were listed. Amanda is dead. The Amanda you see when Connor is talking in that one area isn't really her. Connect that with what Kamski said at the end about an exit in the program. Keep that in mind later on.
Until Dawn is another story-based, action-packed PS4 exclusive game that was released a few years ago that I think would be great to see the team play through. Same quality storyline and hundreds of different ways to play and choices to make that effect your ending. Super fun, thanks for the amazing content you guys!
I'm two minutes in and I'm laughing so hard!! The Oak making the comment of people helping him in the potter videos, I can't with the friendly fighting between them xD love this video already!
1:41:40 - I LOVE Oak's idea here of you guys doing at least 2 more playthroughs of this game, just doing true pacifist and then the worst human beings ever! I would seriously watch every single episode you guys post of that! Also, I like the fact that you're managing to bring the public's opinion back up! TBH, I didn't know you could bring it back up from being that low lol.
Just finished my first playthrough last night and got a bit emotional at the end. Can't wait to see how yours unfolds. I also love the idea of you all playing it again with different strategies. The team behind this game is amazing, from the writing to the acting to the graphics.
Whenever Quinn has the controller I get so, so, so stressed. My cortisol levels deadass shoot up. I watch the whole video quietly and as soon as Quinn starts playing I start actually yelling at my screen 😂😂, luckily this time around he made the right decision with Connor. Edit: no shade btw! I enjoy this, otherwise I wouldn’t be watching. I think the fact that it’s 4 different personalities playing the same game is what makes it fantastic. It’s actually making me wanna play Detroit again. Also! Pay attention to Chloe’s dialogues at the beginning screen!
Its always fun watching what different decisions folks make. This Detroit playthrough is a bit more chaotic than others I have watched simply because of the different personalities in control of the gameplay at any given time. Can't wait to see what kind of ending all the characters get!
Okay, I find it really funny that Quinn couldn't tell that Hank was NOT angry at Connor when he asked him "Why didn't you shoot her?" Hank was just trying to understand what just happened 😂
THE ONE TIME YOU GUYS SHOULD HAVE READ THE MAGAZINE TO SEE KARAS FACE IN THE COVER, YOU DIDNT AHAHAHA. I dont know who RA9 is but I just think that if humans have gods and saints and religion, androids would have it to. Believe in salvation. And when you got to the Kamsky test and it was Quinns turn I thought "that blonde android is dead", glad it didnt happen.
actually, it's a good thing that they didn't read that magazine because that was a piece of evidence that the cop would've used against them since Kara's face is literally on the cover lol
When you have multiple choices I recommend to look around and see what every decision is about before choosing the first one. In my first playthrough I got Connor killed, too, because I saw Hank's chance of survival was only 40%. It's just a pretty human reaction to act fast when you see the risk of someone getting killed is so high. And don't let nasty comments get to you, watching you play is more than enjoyable even though I had to witness my favourite bois die 😂
I love this game. it's never cut and dry on whether or not you made the "right" choices. every choice comes with both a negative and positive consequence, save for the times a character can die. that is so cool. I ended the game with a good ending, but I still found myself regretting so many choices because of the impact they had. choices that I felt were moral and merciful ended up with people killed and that's something I just have to live with now.
@@BaddMedicineArcadeMan, I can't wait for you guys to get to the end so I can tell you how my story ended and tell you how my choices in one part of the story affected another but that's for a future video.. also id love to hear all your personal favorite stories meaning.. whos arc are u more interested in? Thus far at least..
I have really been loving watching you guys play Detroit, it's like watching it for the first time all over again. And if you do more playthroughs as you said at the end, I would recommend playing other story focused games like Until Dawn, Life is Strange, Dark Pictures Anthology and more in between the playthroughs so it doesn't get repetitive by doing them back to back. Great video and I'll be waiting for the next one :)
Just wanna say I'm really enjoying this playthrough. Part of the fun is seeing what choices you guys make. Just a heads up, there's a couple really long chapters coming up with multiple playable characters (you'll know it when you get to it) so I recommend passing the controller whenever you switch characters. Although if you do this, you may have to pause during certain scenes so maybe just pass it when you feel it's a good time to. If you're ok with only one person playing that entire chapter, then that's fine as well.
Man, I hate spoilers in the comments. I vote for at least one more playthrough, were you go dark, violent, agressive, logical, etc. And maybe for an extra challenge play on normal difficulty. That would be so much fun, like this playthrough. I am looking forward to the next episode. You guys are such a great group.
*Markus holds gun on cops who just murdered several androids* Them: Oh no! Woah, woah, these are people! Spare! You better spare! *Connor holds gun on completely innocent android* Quinn: Guys, we need the information. I should've gone with my gut and shot! With the greatest respect, I don't think I like it when Quinn plays 🤣🤣
Hey guys don’t know if anyone mentioned this ,but feel free to explore that area where Amanda is . There’s more to see. P.S. Amanda is AGAINST the android freedom .
Amanda is just for humanity, it's not about being agains something. There is only one way: in the future humanity survives or not. Cos it's imposible to coexist with androids, they will become next humans and replace biological spicies. SO it's you for humans or for androids, that's it.
Just keep playing the way you see fit guys. Honestly this is the most unique playthrough I've seen of this game. Most people already have a good grasp of choice based games and try to beat the system. The way you guys play it, it's a good mixture of logic, empathy, and trying to be in good terms with everyone. Very unique.
