I don’t particularly think both CL and Jessi are comparable in terms of looks or music aside that they’re both 2 fire ass artists and empowering woman they have nothing in common, Jessi was underground for more than 10 years and pretty grinded herself to the way she is now she was for a long time One of the only straightforward and sexy female rapper, she made a lot of features and connections through the underground rap scene even tho since she signed a major label she’s going more pop she always had that agressive type of vibe because it’s her. For CL I’d say that’s the opposite. CL signed at a very young age into a major label in Korea and was appart of one of the most iconic groups in Kpop that pretty much shaped girl groups the way they are now. Back then there was no real girl group being agressive and confident there was only cute concept and 2NE1 the group she was in pretty much changed that. She was pretty much shaped by the label and was more pop, tho the label ruined the group and her mismanaging them and pretty much wasting her ( their) talent, she left the label and went independent and pretty much went more rap than she used to ( and I’m living for it) CL got mad connections too since a whole decade as you litterally can see her hanging out from Pharrell Williams to John Malkovicth who’s doing the voice over in this song to Ariana grande to Rihanna. Their impact and music are pretty different so I don’t get why people feel the need to compare whenever there’s 2 power female artists. CL is 30 and Jessi is 33
Speaking facts, thank you. And I also want to add that it is not CL who's shaped by her former company, it's 2ne1 as a group. CL's solos like Baddest Female, Hello Bxtches, Lifted, they were some of the most standard-breaking solos by a female idol, and I think in everything she does (musically), CL knows herself well enough to always stay true to it. That's why despite her discography being so diverse. all of her songs are all on brand and unique, and never boring.
CL is a LEGEND! The blueprint to many female korean rappers now, especially the new gen idols. You should watch her Killing Verse on Dingo Freestyle. She is both a rapper AND a vocalist. You should also react to her latest single, Lover Like Me. Her solo album will drop this Oct
@E L , CL and John Malkovich were in a movie together and 2018 I think they were in a movie called mile 22 of course the main star was Mark Wahlberg but this was kind of her first movie role in an American movie but she definitely had a lot of help from John Malkovich they developed a friendship he took her under his wing and helped her along the way when the film was in production. She definitely has a friendship with John Malkovich and they do talk on occasion I think this gave her some insight about the American film industry because John Malkovich kind of like helped her not just with her lines but he kind of was her protect her to keep her from being dealt with the crazy media !😀

CL has her own record label after parting with her former company named Very Cherry. She signed with other agencies for promotions only. CL wants to be considered as a global independent artist who just happens to sing in Korean now, and her debut album ALPHA is coming this 20th.

She is not under Big Hit. She has her own label called Very Cherry but she is managed by Konnect Entertainment. In the US, on the other hand, she is managed by SB Projects which technically makes her a HYBE artist along with BTS. CL was the leader of a 2nd gen legendary group 2NE1, a girl group under YG. They have disbanded in 2016 and all the members went solo.

I highly recommend to react to 2NE1 CRUSH LIVE PERFORMANCE... and 2NE1 I DON'T CARE ROCK VERSION... for CL you should react to CL MTBD(mental breakdown) LIVE PERFORMANCE Also CL debuted in 2NE1 under YG Entertainment in 2009 their label forced the group to disband in 2016. CL left this label in 2019... Since then she is an independent artist she founded her own label "Very Cherry"... also her members are all in different labels now...we are waiting for comeback of 2NE1 now that they are free🥰....
