Have to say that comic to me is like a journal diary where people change and evolve day by day, character design no exception, i remember the time when i always copy other authors's style for my OC and now most of them have more diversity and unique looking. And hey! As a Viet person i was suprised when i heard the name for the main character, such a big honor to me.
I totally get this, this was me with my original comic! and lots of my ocs were inspired by other ocs (or actually anime characters lol) as well :D And aaa, super happy that I could make a fellow Viet happy! Hope you will have great tết this weekend! 😊
This is a great redesign, she's such a cool character! I love how realistically sweet she is. She cares for her friends, but she'll also stand her ground when her friends are doing something stupid, like a real friend would.
i get you so much about changing the old designs feels weird, i recently redesigned my oc/fursona from like 5th grade to 8th grade for funsies and he was a wolf which didnt really fit his personality, so i tried going witha golden retriever wolf mix and it took a while to get it to look right but i think my younger self would be very proud tbh i think thats the best part of old oc redesigns ps ur oc looks sweet big fan of her patches that i would also forget to draw tbh (i have a punk character and I NEVER DRAW HIM WITH PATCHES its like the worst)

I can't wait for the reboot to begin posting! I don't think I will have time to read the old version, since by the time it took im asuming it's quite long, BUT I will try my best to read the updated one as it slowly updates!
Ah, don't worry, reading through the old version is quite a challenge in the beginning and it's really long so I can totally understand! I also want the reboot to be its own thing so I'm super happy for your interest! 😊😊 not sure about how often I will update, I gotta see how much I can draw but it will probably be weekly with breaks between chapters :)
Sooo interesting to listen to! I think you did her great justice with the redesign- or, well, of course you did as the creator. But I mean, it really turned out so well! When you said redesigning your old characters was hard, because changing them after living with them for so long feels weird, I get that
@@SoftSeaside I thought about redesigning one of the boys just some days ago, but couldn't really bring myself...prob no main protagonistst. I have some other ocs from story snippets that would NEED redesigning though
@@SoftSeaside Neon and Yabúm would be the babygirls :D no I thought about Kiril (from Karim's gang) he's so bland...but then he's suppposed to be bland, but he could at least he actually comes from that region where it all plays. (but enough about my ocs! I don't want to spam your comment section with that :P )
I enjoy your reboot rambles a lot. But I was reluctant to say this for a long time. I stopped watching a lot of your videos because of the sound effect you use when things show up on screen. It's a bit loud and annoying and startles me every time it appears. Could you please change it or maybe lower its volume? Sorry for commenting on this particular thing I feel really bad about saying it.
