It was my suggestion for the train line over top of the riverfront road. It may make a touch more sense for the new train station to connect right to that elevated rail somehow, at least give the elevated rail a reason to exist and removes the level crossings. Just a thought

Really hope CO add multi-level and elevated metro stations soon, guessing they'll be really useful when you extend the metro to other parts of your city, and build more lines Hopefully they'll combine them with underground railway stations so you can build an S-Bahn/RER network if you want

To help with traffic going into the industrial area it seems a metro line running out there would be very helpful. I am sure many workers would take the metro each day. Then they could get on the trams or buses for the final ride home. Additionally someone mentioned having a separate metro station outside of Applegate station. Separating the lines out of the train station metro stop sounds like a suggestion worth pursuing to split up the passengers. Glad you are back in CS2.

I really love the new place. You probably did this off camera, but please check if the subway station between Emerson and Applegate is really used or if the subways just rush through them.

hi man! just a quick suggestion, idk if it is going to work but, in the roundabout that u analyze in the 18th minute, where traffic decides to exit the highway and then re enter it, try to put a traffic sign, near the roundabout, maybe the one that says that is forbidden to go straight. I think that if u start playing with those all around your city, maybe the path finding algorith starts working better. Trying does not cost anything, if so it could only improve things!

Rather than Applegate Station being the main subway point why not use the Bus station that is more central? It would fill that big gap in the middle, still offer great connections, and i think it would make the system easier to expand in the future! Having the main staton on the edge is going to be limiting. Edit: you could also “repurpose” the elevated train tracks into an elevated tram line! That way you can see traffic on the line you could even make an elevated stop and connect it to the train/ subway

At the train station in the middle of the city! Build 2 metro stops so the metro stop at the train station is not overcrowded with metro trains. So you can separate the 2 lines better.

From a transport planning perspective there is no need at all to split the airport line into two lines at Applegate station, you actually get a bunch of benefit from having it run through as one line.

I've had that stretchy transport glitch before, both with trams and trains. The way I fix them is just using the more capable bulldoze tool with object mode selected and straight up deleting them 😅 Good to know there's a solution without using that mod, though I'm glad I didn't have to move anything because my train got stuck in the international airport, which I definitely don't want to be moving 😬

Large plots of land for homes and buildings increase land rent and taxes. Having smaller homes lowers rent and fixes alot of the high rent problems. Creating smaller grids in some areas helps by offering cheaper homes for people. A 3x2 is half the price of a 6x2 at the standard size. And 2x2 low density offer very cheap housing.

I think maybe for the next episode you can take a break and kind of just show us your favorite bus route, tram route, train route, and subway route so we can really get close and see how they work. It won't be as much fiddling with the game but just watching.

I admire your ambition, Dylan, but...TWO cities? At the same time?? While you still have two cities in Cities1 on the go as well?
