Im curious if the huge amount of thread wraps on each part for these saltwater flies are necessary for the durability of the fly or if its done because these fibers will cover it all up. Im used to tying trout patterns where you have limited space and need to be very conservative with your wraps. Thanks love these vids.
People are going too far with that saying LOL. Most people's eyes I look at are pretty symmetrical. They don't have one down by their mouth or something. So, putting them where they need to be is critical just like you're stating before the symmetrical thing LOL
