As you said in RHEL 5/6 version rescue mode option is not there, so what we can do in that situation? If there is no other kernel, I mean system running on one Kernel only, what we can do in that situation?

Hello, i am facing kernel panic issue. I have followed all the step but when creat new kernel image there will be still my previous kernel image is there. And when i reboot the machine is go to the previous kernel and stuck. For this any solution is available. How can i avoid this issue.
Modules are nothing but driver we call it in windows. Guessing your kernel is not installed properly. Try to boot system with old kernel if that is available from menu prompt.
Redhat error messages are not user friendly. You need get inside rescue mode and Check your your kernel related information. Initrd, vmlinuz, kernel packages 📦 etc.
