Michael Goldberg is an expert in the areas of networking, referrals, recruiting -- and believe it or not -- amateur boxing! Michael has been a featured speaker at NAIFA, NAHU, the Sales Mastery Forum, and LAMP and has been referenced in the Harvard Business Review and the Wall Street Journal. When he's not speaking at conferences or sales meetings, Michael is an award winning adjunct instructor at Rutgers University and donates time to speak at networking groups focused on job search. Michael is the author of the book Knock-Out Networking!
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

This deserves way more views. It's so helpful and important that all students should be required to watch this to be prepared for their professional life right after graduation.

22,000 views? This should be the first video university students see in their 101 classes. I would dare to say that most students in 2015 enter college without any idea on how to get a job. Many even leave without these skills. Michael Goldberg, helping to solve these problems not just at Rutgers, but to anyone with an internet access.

+I am Max You are right. I left college not even knowing what networking is. I never had even heard of the word. I graduated summa cum laude and it took me 9 years out of college just to get a decent paying job. I feel that we should demand our state legislatures to be more responsible in helping college students find work. We pay for our universities with our tax dollars.

I love how he consistently repeats "where to go, what to say, with whom", which allows the audience to really absorb the advice he is giving, long after they've seen his talk. His presentation skills are amazing, and so is his networking advice. Thank you so much for this lovely talk, Michael.

Great talk. Creating a connection is such good advice. It allows you to reveal something about the "real you", and creates common ground with the person you are chatting to. Well worth watching this video as it has lots of good tips.

The interesting thing about speaking on face-to-face networking Michael Goldberg is whatever happens in technology it will ALWAYS be a vital and fundamental business skill. I hope the youngsters of today learn that very early on in their lives

PEEC PROFESSION- what job you want to land, what you do etc EXPERTISE- your depth in the knowledge about ur field ENVIRONMENT- your target market place CALL TO ACTION- what exactly are you after. Create you PEEC statement to be able tp figure out who to talk to, how to talk to them and where to talk to them

I am not impressed. Mostly form and little substance. Why does he need 20 minutes to share mostly platitudes and a nebulous concept (PEEC?)? He probably thinks of himself as a better speaker when he repeats himself a lot. There must be better talks on networking out there. If TED talks are about ideas worth sharing : this should not make the cut.
