We started with a similar Chinese machine in 2012 and sold it after two years. Sell it, if you can find a buyer! We bought a Barudan in 2014 and the difference is huge. In 2015 we added a 15 years old ZSK 6 head and it is running 10 times better than a new Chinese machine. If you buy a new or used machine there are only a few brands you can go with: Tajima, Barudan, Happy, ZSK, Fortron or Melco. I would not choose anything else! Your machine is similar to other Chinese brands so you can find information on this channel: ru-vid.comvideos For repair and maintenance can recommend Universal Embroidery Machine Repair DVD.

sorry to hear that, I have my own embroidery machine, and its from china, but my business partner and I have 5 years of experience combined operating embroidery machines, Im from colombia if you have any question about that topic, feel free to ask, believe me a chinese machine its not a bad option, you just have to know how to use it

Hi, is there a reason you went for this model instead of the Brother 6 or 10 needle models? and how are you getting on with it now?
@manipulators2007
@manipulators2007 6 лет назад
Hello Nikki, Sorry to hear that, But obviously you did not do your homework prior buying your equipment. Every pro-machines requires a learning curve regardless what brand it is. I hope you will find all answers that you are longing to get you proficient and efficient.
@NikkiVelazquez
@NikkiVelazquez 6 лет назад
manipulators2007 the problem is that there is a lack of information for those who want a machine for creative projects. If I wanted to embroider logos on hats all day, I'd had a much easier time.

I am a commercial embroiderer specializing in patches. I have a Meistergram Pro 15 and three Melco machines. The Meistergram is basically the same Chinese knockoff of a Toyota 850/860. It does some things fine...others not so much. Even my 28yr old Melco EMC6 runs circles around it for quality and reliability overall. For the same general price as a new Redline (or any of the other Chinese Toyota clones) you can have a nice 5-7yr old commercial machine from Melco, SWF, Tajima or other top brand. I applaud Redline for all the maintenance videos, other manufacturers should be doing this, but the written documentation is equally important. Beware that these days almost no manufacturers will assist you on the phone without a per minute fee. I think once you learn what you really should be learning anyway to run a business, your machine will be fine until you are comfortable upgrading. My first machine was the Meistergram Pro...it is now my least used machine.

ColDesi all the way. I bought a GS1501 from Pantograms...they touted their online video training...it was ok...just ok. I was then notified that they were merging with their sibling site (brothers owned each company from what I could tell)... My GS1501 in almost, if not identical to the Avancé 1501. They had wonderful teaching videos...went over every aspect of the machine, even things I had no need for at the time. I couldn't find your manual online. My manual is 68 pages, no foreign language (sure they took it out). My machine is pretty easy to learn. It's my 2nd commercial machine...the old one started out centered..not this one...out comes the manual (yes, I did read through it first, not well enough)...oh, so I have to press need 1, then the Home button, then 3 to set 1 at what I want the center of the design to be at, then 4 to check that the design will fit). Had I not had the online videos...would have gone crazy. Give yourself time. copy every english (or whatever they call it) page..print single sided...put into a notebook...this will give you a blank side to write your own notes on...also...if the translation isn't good...figure it out & make notes on the actual page. I'm following you to see how your progress goes. If I had your manual (couldn't find online)...I'd try to help you with it
@NikkiVelazquez
@NikkiVelazquez 5 лет назад
Oh I wish there was any understandable English in that manual! It seems like they used an auto-translator and didn't proofread it! It's useless. I've had to figure things about myself.

I am sooo wanting to get a multi-needle and have looked at 3 companies. I found that Mesa Highland and theRedline are almost identical machines with the same control system from Dahao. The price difference almost a thousand. Which brings me to my query. Has your learning curve improved? What is the quality build of the Redline Machine? Did you get the Embrillance software? If so, what modules did you go with?Thanks for your videos. I have appreciated them.
@NikkiVelazquez
@NikkiVelazquez 7 лет назад
I have Embrilliance Essentials. The machine seems to be built OK, but I'm really not sure. I have learned some things on my own in the past 6 months but have a long way to go.

Now that you’ve had your machine awhile is it something you will now recommend? Do you use it in your business?
@NikkiVelazquez
@NikkiVelazquez 6 лет назад
The Baby Shower Place No, I do not. Do not buy a chinese machine. This company provides minimal support and assume that their you tube videos are enough to learn the machine. I considered selling it but cannot afford to do so.

I noted this video on the Redline machine was published Dec 2016. While watching & listening to the problems/concerns you were having regarding the machine, I wondered if you had watched the Redline videos that had been published before you made this video. All the concerns you mention, I found to be answered in the Redline videos. Perhaps you would have had a smoother learning experience if you had watched them.

irishtea15 of course I watched them. That would be foolish if I hadn't. Obviously my issues weren't resolved with the info in said videos.

wow, I sure hope you got that machine up and running. I had a SWF 12 needle single head machine for over 10 years but sold it when I retired for the second time. One of the great things about SWF was the tech support both on the phone and then online emails as well. I have very few problems with that machine over the years and I wish I had kept it but at the time I sold it was pretty burned out from working. I now have a Janome 500e and love that machine and enjoy playing around with lots of things that are not work, lol. If you are interested in trading your Redline, you may want to look at the SWF website and also there are a couple of online places that sell used machines for really good prices. Good luck to you. Janet

I hate to hear your dissatisfaction with this machine. I bought one after using a Brother PE770. I was using my machine the first day. I also got a class from Doug Sheppard. I had done my research and watched every video available, no problems setting up or using mine. Not sure why you had issues, yes, the manual is useless, but there are so many RU-vid videos, I didn't have to refer to manual at all. Great machine for me! Customer service through Advantage, Inc. is awesome!

That is just horrible the instructions were not accurate with detail for a "machine" that is very high value. I have noticed little "QR" scan codes on boxes with items that have very little detailed instructions. my system is also made in china! maybe you will have some luck there. Good luck dear (example: my house surveillance system "did not have a piece of paper, a booklet, nothing. This particular system is Internet access to view "via mobile phone", after looking at the box I seen a QR bar code I said what heck I will scan it. I scanned it and some information popped up on my phone with some insight to the system.)

I love my Redline 15 needle, I have it inside a Mall, havent had any problems with it, Embroidery is not for everybody, there is a looooooong learning curve to the machine and digitizing, check out stuff that I have embroidered on my fb page facebook.com/vinylimagezgil/

Vinyl Imagez Signs and Graphics I love embroidery, just not with all the issues I have with this machine .
@vinylimagezsignsandgraphic2305
if you need any help let me know, I work with this machine latterly every day, this has been my first machine and I can understand the stress at first, there is basically 2 important parts that need a lot of attention 1st thread tension and bobbin tension ( if this is not tension ed properly you will get white bobbin thread on top, there is a balance in both, Redline Emb has a nice video to this. 2nd Digitizing and compensation play a important roll on final results. I had posted a wrong link on my first comment, here is the correct link. facebook.com/vinylimagezgil/

KIDZINBROOKLYN I can't afford to replace it right now, so selling it is off the table. I'd never sell on eBay. buyers can file a claim and eBay sides with the buyer and the seller gets screwed.

Is sad you had to go through all thisI can tell you are very disappointed. I also been dealing with lots of trouble with mine different brand but same machine only difference the support on mine is outstanding! This machine are basically knockoff of Japanese Tajima machine brand that we all see at lids stores etc. Your panel is made by top wisdom china I know if you research on you tube you will find lots of videos so you can learn how to use it. New models come with dahao system touch screen. Go to T shirt forum there a technician there on the embroidery site that is very knowledgeable on this systems wish you luck happy New Years God bless
