I think that was an exceptional first attempt. Easy to understand and follow trail of thought (diction/accent and rate of speaking), approach based on logic and not overly reliant on solver or MDA, 2 zoom tables is pretty much perfect when it comes to volume, enough action to not feel boring but also not too much where u get overwhelmed and don't have time to speak ur thoughts. Personally I love that u're not the excitable type that sweats or calls out river cards or unnecessarily gets hyper excited when dealt a good hand or flop. Reminiscent of "PokerFlex", who I don't think gets enough credit, but u're going to be more successful on YT. I guess try and do a couple of collabs now at the beginning to get a bit of exposure from bigger channels but also try not to cheapen out the education value of ur approach. Best of luck to u in the future mate!
It's quite strange that the people that deliver the BEST content get the least amount of subscribers. This is coming from a poker pro that's been doing this for 15 years. I am honestly greatful for people like you and makepokersimple. GREAT STUFF! Please keep making these videos man. Cheers!
Thank you mate! And not as yet, but it’s likely something I’m going to do in the not too distant future. Will make an announcement on insta and here when I do 🙌🏻
No GG for the time being (the rake puts pay to that). When I shift myself into some 1KNL in the second half of this year then I'll definitely look at uploading something from there ✌
Very nice video - really like your reasoning and thought process...calm and to the point. I learned a lot of thinking about spots; for example that if a person bluff catch snap call I should note that down and size up next time and overall trying to make them indifferent and put them in tough spots with sizing (which I am bad at which shows in my loosing redline).
Once a Month ! More More Si Boy, Great Vid enjoyed listening to your thought process- look forward to more , Would be interesting to see how you review a session youve played , Cheers !
Hello Simon. First of all welcome to RU-vid. I have no doubt you will be a stellar addition to the roster of cash game specialists on here. I have a question about the hand you played against Kruzer at 7:50. Kruzer limp/calls the SB with 22. I understand that limping the SB is a strategy that is used by strong regs. I used to think it was a sign of a fish, but you see regulars doing it quite a bit nowadays. Any thoughts on the merits of the limping strat Simon, or do you just simplify to RFI or fold in the SB? The action goes X/X, X/X, then Kruzer elects to bet the river. You mentioned that you don't like Kruzer's bluff, but isn't it somewhat standard here? I am assuming that Kruzer thinks he has no showdown value here with 22, and he probably thinks you're capped in the double check line. I also think 22 is very close to the stone bottom of Kruzer's range that gets to the river. It's a spot where weak regs might think "oh well I've got showdown value here, so I'll just check", but in reality he doesn't really have showdown value.
Hi mate! So I play limps in the SB too. I think there's a lot of merit to it once you reach 500 as the rake is lower and you put people into a node that they're very understudied in. With the 22 hand I think it is closer than I thought in game because Kruzer's limp/calling range doesn't contain THAT many air hands on this runout. I still think it's a marginal bluff though because he does still have a lot of SDV (think about how wide & polar I will iso) and also his hand may have EV as a x/c on the river.
heyy nice vid. Do you prefer 2tables normally? or this is because video reason? And do you manage table amount depends on pool?(lets say if its reg heavy then u tend to reduce the table ?)
If zoom I actually like 2 tables these days, even though my zoom volume is now very low. And yeah generally if I’m gonna play in tougher games I prefer playing less tables and focusing more.
Very nice approach and very nice video, loved it..also a red line lover and warrior, playing mostly fast tables on gg. Wish you the best man... i cant wait for more videos on your channel!
