Who else was excited to buy their new desktop computer back in 1999 that had a 20gb/40gb HDD ( forgot how much ram)...It amazes me how far tech has come! A headphone jack AND an IR blaster?! This phone is a beast!
As a non-gamer I'm still interested in getting this phone to see how long the battery would last using it to do basic daily phone stuff, youtube, texting, email & browsing the web.
Update, I got the phone a week ago 😁 I took off charge last Monday morning around 5am and used it normally & last night around 6pm it was at 16% so amazing battery life which it should have with such a big battery
@@khalifa6413 Hi OK, I don't like AT&T saying this phone doesn't work on their network, yet voice and texting works fine. Fingerprint sensor isn't the best I had to program the same thumb twice to get it to work better. A couple casual games keep crashing but more gamey games seem to work OK, but again I'm no gamer so I didn't play any for very long. Positive are of course the battery life, the screen looks amazing great color. I love the flat back no camera bump. For just a daily driver it's fantastic. Still may sell it, I want to test out new OnePlus 12. Partly because I'm nervous of using banking apps on this phone, I probably shouldn't be however. I will say I also have and use a Z Fold 4 and the Motorola razor and even tho Samsung phones are pricey I miss Bixby routines for automation when I use the redmagic or razor
Wth are you doing with it, I've been gaming 18hrs a day and never made it below 30% and that was with the fan running most of the time as well at max settings
Nice phone! I bought the 8 pro with 12G ram after my Zenphone 6 unexpectedly died last year. I recently ordered one of those backbone controllers during the holiday season to run Retroarch and Dolphin emulator for some old NES, Sega, Game Cube games I wanted to play. So far so good and it's been a blast so I can only imagine the 9. My only regret was getting the 256G model instead of 512G but it's not the end of the world. The 8 can easily take me through the year and I'll upgrade in 2025
I just ordered the sleet version (12GB) and the gamepad that they offer because it has 2 extra trigger buttons and works with the battery bypass option, man it can't get here fast enough
At this price point better be gaming phone of the year or I’m shocked! I’m holding off until a Redmagic Fold, one could dream other wise I would have bought this model.
Yes I wanted to buy this device I really love the way it looks😮 unfortunately it only has a 1080p display that's a deal-breaker😢😢😢😢 too bad they didn't put a better display on it that sucks😮
Just when you thought you knew, call me crazy but 4G is still capable of doing the same things 5G can other than work well in distances further away from towers
Im getting the Silver one I hope I can get a good deal on it, I mean its already cheaper than I expected but it would be nice to get a discount on top Lol
Tried the backbone controller but it didnt fit my Fold 5. Opted for the new Gamesir G8 and its a game changer that feels like a normal controller Ps - for people who dont like Genshin, maybe try Bright Memory Infinite
The most demanding game right now is undawn you should try it .....i do wish the did 16gb 512gb for the all black version tho it looks better in my opinion and its back glass is also textured
8:17 im a bit late but that is NOT what passthrough charging does, literally EVERY phone can charge while playing, what passthrough charging does is directly power the phone through the charger without using the battery reducing the heat and keeps your battery healthy.
I wish they had made a gaming tablet. I got the snowfall, but I've been playing pubg on a large Samsung S7 tablet for so many years that it's difficult for me to transition and re learn finger positions. Still love everything about this phone. It's holding first place in Antutu Benchmark test records.
So did u went inside the store cus I want to get that phone too but I prefer In person will that be available I live in North America btw and I’m trying to get connected with T-Mobile this Saturday coming up or Sunday
Yea ofc it’s still a phone, it has android os so it’s just like a typical samsung phone except it’s spec for games rather than media so it’s cameras aren’t as good as typical phone but it has a much superior battery etc.
I never played genshin impact. I mainly play call of duty mobile until warzone comes out, bright memory and ark:survival evolved for mobile. For some reason, ark survival evolved is available on the google play store on my one plus nord n30 5g but not available on the google play store on my sony xperia 1 iv. For survival evolved on my one plus nord n30 5g, i have the highest graphics settings set to epic intentionally even though the phone is using a mid range processor. I wanted to play ark survival evolved in epic for the highest graphics settings on my sony xperia 1 iv along with it's 4k 120 hz oled display. I'm still looking for the crysis remastered nintendo switch rom so I can play crysis remastered the nintendo switch version for android and see what the performance will be like on my sony xperia 1 iv 4k 120hz oled display. I have crysis remastered on pc and play with can it run crysis graphics in native 4k hdr enabled, ray tracing enabled, dlss off, ray tracing experimental boost enabled, can it run crysis in every graphics settings, v sync off and motion blur off. Crysis remastered is still graphically demanding and the graphics in 4k looks insane since can it run crysis mode demands every bit of hardware with unlimited settings. Every time I game on pc in 4k since I only game in native 4k and nothing less than 4k, not even 1440p. I use up as much vram as possible for every game since I cranked out graphics to the highest graphics settings no matter how demanding the game is and like maxing out all the sliders. I wish diablo mode was mentioned on the red magic 9 gaming phone in this video since it overclocks the cpu and gpu even for more gaming performance even though it makes the phone battery drain quicker and makes the phone hotter. I would still buy the red magic gaming phone or any gaming phone if they removed the front facing camera. I rather attach a usb c dongle and plug an external camera like a go pro camera or any camera as a replacement for the front facing camera since I don't use the front facing camera that often. I still have my vivo nex s with it's pop up camera and I barely even used the front facing camera on it. I mainly use the vivo nex s for watching 4k youtube videos, live tv, movies and playing games on the display with no camera intrusion on the display.
I bought s23 plus last year. Great phone, but I'm fed up with samsung's greed by completely removing 3.5mm adapter's ability to use lavalier mic, record via bluetooth mic (except their earbuds 2 pro) etc. Would you ditch the s23 for this beast, guys? I love samsung keyboard with suggestions and a bunch of its options. I like the quick speed, such as launching the camera with a double press of a power button and almost instantly capturing the sudden event. The camera itself with its features. Does the REDMAGIC 9 Pro have similar abiliies and options?
Ive been really enjoying the ZFlip5 Wish battery life was better but its not the 8gen2's fault its the 3700mah battery Hoping the 8gen3 is a decent leap forward in efficiency for rhe ZFlip6
@@kojikicklighter371 Thanks. I'll look into it some more. May opt to just get the Nubia z60 ultra. Same company, specs, form factor, but with better main camera.
As far as I know, this phone is banned from unlocking the bootloader by the developer in China, who announced in a live broadcast that all the phones released from now on will not be able to unlock the bootloader.
You really think this is better, than the rog phone 6 for gaming? One plus nord 300 has 1000 nits max brightness. Let's see how redmagic holds up over the next 30-90 days. It's a very nice phone.
@@BrodeeRaney-zl1kf except for the cost of the devices I'll probably have to get the s24 ultra because that has the best screen resolution the cameras are not the best they backed out. That sucks but Samsung did. Not the Apple type. The Sony Xperia has very good screen resolution
@@BrodeeRaney-zl1kf maybe I can take my chances at the pixal 8 Pro I hear it as heating issues at least it has a very good screen resolution plus it's very bright screen that's a positive
I'm sorry but I just bought this phone for gaming and it overheats so much that I can't hold it, that's after 30 minutes!!! Wanted to RETURN BUT IT CAN'T BE RETURNED, IT HAS TO BE RETURNED TO CHINA AND INTERNATIONAL MAIL DOESN'T ALLOW ANYTHING WITH A BATTERY! SO ... I just spent over $1000. Cad dollars for nothing ! Also if you screencast, you lose 50% of the sound. This is not ok at all and I don't recommend it.
these phones are mehh, just stick with oneplus. the multiwindow and floating window on its version of android is very janky . i like the hardware but the software is just mehhh. if they fixed those 2 simple things its a win.
My problem with your review is every other review mentions the screen and gaming power, etc. You do the same thing that to many others do. You don't show anything about the camera, no pictures, barely talk about it. So if Im debating and ROG phone 8 or Redmagic 9 and the camera is a important deciding factor, how would I know. Do something different....Your sony reviews are all about cameras. Tell me about the specs that make this unique, because I already know its going to be a powerful gaming phone.
If you’re buying this phone for the camera you shouldn’t buy it. I think that’s the general consensus. Amazing gaming phone, worst selfie I’ve seen this year and the regular ones are ok in good light. Sony phones are much more about cameras. That’s the point, and why I talk about it so much. This phone is 95% gaming and 5% everything else.
