My #2 to #10 change all the time, but my #1's been locked in since '98. Doc's Da Name was the final seal on that deal and his work since has me convinced that I'll be dead before any hopeful ever catches up. Sorry Mike and Jamie ;)
+Scott Guest I feel ya on that. Red just keep going and going. His body of work is impeccable. Then add in the fact he produce, engineer, act, write, and humble as fuck. Doc is the greatest.
I slept on Reggie for years, listened to his first 3 albums, mind blowing. Only now discovered his new music, good to see hes stayed with his style the whole way through. Underrated O.G, contender for G.O.A.T
Me too. I was a teen when i remember Eminem said Reggie was his number 1 (reggie, jay z, tupac, then biggie) and i didn't know who he was talking about for years. Found out it was Redman, binged and became a lifelong. He was the best, when he was hungry and killing it he was the definition of a rapper artist
Been fucking wit RED since What Thee Album, but my 1st song i ever heard from him was Funkorama!! Ever since then RED been the dopest to me. Pen and freestyle game still crazy!
I remember seeing Redman and DJ twin riding mountain bikes thru Bradley courts those were the days when I saw this i flashed back to them times with saw how red show spots in newark I cried
This is the RAWEST visuals of "Brick City" in a music video EVER seen and it was presented by the Funk Doctor......💯❤ Red is the Heart of Newark, NJ ALL DAY. **Like a AMEX card Nigg@ I take charge and all Challenger's better Dodge** (BARZ 😁)
The beauty of this genre we love is you can frequently come across a track that you may not have known existed. And often a particular track such as this one, blows your mind!! Not gonna lie, came across it on spotify didn't have a clue when it was released, if it was from one of his albums or whatever. It's a funny thing when a certain song can impact straight away. Been listening to Hip Hop since the mid 80's, this tune could easily be in my top 10. Awesome!!
I stopped listening to hip hop when Pac & Underground Hip hop such as Redman wasn't around no longer & these fake ass Hollywood rappers & mumble rappers came about. But damn, I've always loved Redman's shit & thank God him & Method & others I grew up to in the 90's, are back to rocking the 🎙!
