I would expect it to be a bit cheaper in Hongkong, as Realme C3 3/64 is available for 117 EUR in Europe. 6GB variant would be interesting but I do not expect that version as a global/EU release, unfortunately.
Too bad the pricing of redminote8 is similar to this now..rm599 in country with 4+64gb and the killer feature is IRblaster,im looking for a phone suitable for my parents and they would miss that mi remote when they misplaced the ac/tv remote if i buy this😂
@synasme Asevenx Where do you live? I mean in normal circumstances mine just get a bit warm, nothing unusual, and a bit warmer while gaming, no overheating issues so far.
I have really started to appreciate Xiaomi for the latest budget smartphones with the best gaming chipsets from MediaTek & some really competitive specs
Hehe, loving the Redmi 9 SO Much, it is seriously INCREDIBLE and I genuinely think I could daily drive it, no joke! I mean, you even get a case! Don't see that much in this price range! And the screen is bigger than my Realme X2 Pro! The back is matte (which is always awesome!) And the cameras are pretty competent, plus, you get some damn good performance for the price!
Agreed Charlie! This phone has no business being this good for the price! Truly incredible value here! And yes I think anyone could really use this as their daily! It’s that solid!
@@FrankieTech Yeah, agreed, I seriously would daily drive this phone if I had to and wouldn't be bothered! It's SERIOUS value for the money, can't wait for what the Redmi 10 has to offer!
Awesome review as always bro. Bought the phone based on your recommendation and so far I'm very happy with it. It's a battery KING and a performance beast for the price I paid ($116). Only downside I see so far is the screen is rather dim in manual mode, and you need to use Auto brightness outside, but that's just a small inconvenience.
Wow Xiaomi have nailed it again with this one. For 130 dollars what could you want more. If you are a casual user this is all the phone you will ever need. Superb review of a great value champ my Friend. 🙂👏👏
Xiaomi really nailed it on the sub $150 phone! IMO this is much better buy than Realme's entry level offering! And yes I called the back design of Redmi 9 a hybrid of Redmi K30 + Note 8 Pro...
It's the fastest processor for any phones under $125. Slightly faster than Snapdragon 665 which are used in phones selling for double the price or more.
@@dank.2536 absolutely agree! one should go for the Mediatek Helio G series powered smartphones in the affordable range rather than the SD ones as they are not competent enough
@@bennyefosa5321 Yes the G70, G80 and G90T are all powerful enough for most games, and MediaTek sells them for cheaper than their equivalent Snapdragons, and part of the cost savings get passed onto us consumers. Win-win situation.
@@dank.2536 exactly! whereas the manufacturing cost of Qualcomm chips is way too high which percolates down to the end products manufactured by the OEMs
Just bought 1 of these today for my mom. Xiaomi uk had a sale on today, paid shockingly cheap £79gbp (108usd) for the 4 64 variant. looking forward to having a play.
Good review buddy - Always interested to look at budget phones as my secondary phone. Also good to see you representing HK reviews; keep it up and stay safe!
Next mom's phone so what phone do you have mR tech.. you must an iPhone guy.. they put out over priced crap along with Samsung's plastic phones that over heat and die in a year..
My main problem with realme is that their phones had gotten more expensive. Like look at the realme 6i, way too expensive for the specs that it offers. The realme 6 was pretty disappointing as well
Every one taling about 400-500$ phones as budget devices... not even considering to look at cheaper phones, but you dude keep it real and show tech that people with tight budget actually wanna buy. Keep up the good work.
Xiaomi's really do offer good value on both their entry, mid spec and high end phones, especially when compared to Samsung which I think is overpriced in many markets
Yes, I looked at Samsung phones too. In this price range they have the Galaxy A01, and it's a piece of crap with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The demo phone I played with lagged pretty badly.
@@beyeseparateswe3425 p40lite is better but this one is worth money compared to p40lite. Buy this phone save rest of the money 2021 is close buy another phone in 2021 when prices are reduced. But still redmi 9 is better option considering specs phone is worth it.
I appreciate the great review! I'm considering this phone...seems like a very good phone for the money. It's about time to replace my 6 year old Samsung :-) Speaking of my Samsung, it's very easy to replace the battery but it seems most current day phones don't have replaceable batteries. Is it possible to replace the battery in a Xiaomi? Thanks! - Rob
Agreed Jimmy! For sure if this was a 300 USD phone there’s a lot I would complain about. But for 128? No chance! This is tremendous value for the price! All the best bro!
Amazing video!! And a very serviceable phone. Ay that price and with all those features, it's perfect for the person who needs a well all-rounder a phone that delivers in the day ti day use... Couple of Photos, social media...but the combination of loud speaker full HD screen and 5000 MH battery make it a winner for the average user... The price is sweet Even for importing ti markets where Xiaomi is not yet officially, like Argentina 🇦🇷... Excellent Frankie, go tech, go Swimming
Beautiful colour🤗. I'm wanting this for my drone controller. How is the screen brightness? I have guess gorilla glass makes it troublesome with every phones out there 🤗
@@VibezVideo look at Moto X4, or E5, they are old yet thousand times better than these Chinese phones with millions of issues. but you can't find a bad review from any user about these phones.
@@VibezVideo man you are contradicting your own comments, look from the start of this conversation, you asked me about good phones with better specs.and if you talk about competition, I would say you have no idea about good phones, or you are a paid promoter of Chinese phones. cause, moto x4 has a 6gb variant, 16mp camera, 14front, aluminium body, and sd 665 which is far better than this modontech processors. reseacrh more then "LOL" me
Yo Frankie, how about doing a video on Redmi 9A and 9C in the near future. Wanna see what Xiaomi has in store for us with these entry level budget phones.
i using poco f2 pro..and i bought redmi 9...is great..fast..smooth..just the brightness problem..maybe is the software..waiting for the update..hope can fixed the problem.
Hey frankie, wazzup. Redmi 9 got me, I really love it in this price point, and other cool set ups, .. could there be better versions of this standout phone? What would you recommend a brand better than redmi 9 at its price range. ?? Please let me know thanks . More power to ur channel. Keep it up
@@FrankieTech hi, just would like to ask in your opion ya. WHICH PHONE IS THE BEST YA, redmi 9 4gbram 64 GB STORAGE or the redmi note 8 4 gbram 64 gb storage? Hope to get a reply😊, tq.
Is it true that the main camera only f2/2 while the Redmi 8 had f1.8? Although the the daytime shots looks good for this price it would be nice to see a comparison between Redmi 9 and 8. I would definitely choose one good camera over 3 or 4 less good camera. The new processor and display looks like a big improvement over Redmi 8. Great review thanks.
At this price range, the integrated features such as the MediaTek Helio G35 gaming chipset along with 4GB RAM and 5000mAh battery are solid additions to Redmi 9
Design wise, I think it's prettier than the Note 9/9S/9 Pro with that glossy plasticky finish. The camera modules are also nicer. Hope it comes to Latin America. Cheers from Argentina
The very best of the best cheapest phone ever it is very efficient. Imagine from that price point, you can play pubg at smooth-ultra settings, unlike on my redmi note 8, only smooth-high..
I bought the redmi 9 3gb variant Whenever i stream videos on youtube or some sites in google i get very bad muddy quality. Plz tell if anyone knows the fix
The antutu benchmark is good compared to the more expensive samsung offerings ..you can buy 2 of these for the price of the A51. The samsung a21 is trash and costs 100 more .
I found out that android has a major flaw, in contradiction with saving battery sure but still. So I use this phone with two permanent apps that uses GPS, the secondary app in the background will fall short close to shut down but mostly cutting the GPS to save battery or something, even though I've set both apps to not save battery or battery restrictions. The only solution to this problem to prevent shutting the background app is to leave the charging cable plugged in.
Xiaomi #1.. will you review the new note 9 5g..? getting the Redmi 9 chip set is great also next and will get the new note 9 when it comes out.. the 5g note 9 and love your videos..
Hi, has someone issues with WiFi or bluetooth? Lost or poor connection? I remember about REDMI NOTE 9, most of community had problem with it..it lost connection in standby mode, and all notify come when you wake up it so WiFi connection restart and receice all messages....has this device the same problems? Thanks
I got the phone but when it detects sunlight the screen does something weird with the colors, they look kind of.. faded? does anyone know what that is and how to turn it off?
