I do hope you reach 400k sooner than later...You deserve alot more than most of the other reviewers I've seen, who resort more on gimmickry than doing an actual detailed review... And it's quite obvious as well that you truly enjoy what you do, bringing great content to your viewers... Thank you...thank you.🧡🧡🧡😻
Excellent top class review - very detailed and informative. For the price of this phone (£140 - UK) it offers a lot of what most users could live with day to day. I think I will grab one..:o) Thanks
And really this deep sleep bug is such common? Or can you describe more what really happens, I mean you just need to push the button more times to wake the screen or it is really not responding and what can you do if so? I wanted to buy but now it makes me hasitating... 😭
Video quality: EIS should work on 1080p/30fps as on my Redmi Note 8 Pro and that is fully acceptable quality👍 But as here no EIS on 1080/60 or 4K so just remember this simple rule: Use 1080/60 or 4K video only if you DON'T WALK around... stay put in other words and just move the camera around softly with your hands.
I'M FROM INDIA, TRUST ME, IN INDIA EVERY LANE HAS A RU-vidR ""LOLZZZZ"" FOR PHONE REVIEWS. I WAS LOOKING FOR A REALLY GOOD TECHNICAL REVIEW WITH THE LATEST WAY OF TESTING THE DEVICE AND I FOUND YOU.... THANKS FOR SHARING SUCH A BEAUTIFUL HONEST REVIEW
Today (9.9.22) Xiaomi is dropping as low as 105USD for 8/128 model. Just wow! 😯 Now this is a big drop after a year or so. It's amazing to see this phone still going well.
Yo Chris you're killin it as always with your deep & detailed review have been a subscriber since them Leeco phones that you used to review! Great to see your progress you're shinning boss! You're the most honest ytuber! Are you going to review the iqoo7 & legend?? Big Love & respect! be safe & god bless!
@@gabriel10wesley If the price difference is not that high, i'd said go for the 10s for it's chipset, but I think the 10 is enough and you can save some money.
@@seamus2304 I thought more about going to 10 because of the snapdragon. The xiaomi has many devices to update, fear that MTK will be a lower priority in a year. have you seen RN8 PRO or RN 9 have received this miuiu 12.5?
So cool that the midrange phones these days are killer phones for the price, for 5 years ago i bought Motorola z play with a sd 625 processor i think it had, but the phone back then was about €445 and in my opinion compared to this phone not as good, so these days even midrange phones are good for the price
Been using this phone for 3 months. First 2 months was so frustrating. Lots of SLEEP BUGS and RANDOM BOOTLOOP. I experienced almost 5 times of bootloop which was so frustrating because everytime it happens, i need to factory reset my device. Luckily, i stumbled one internet suggestion that the stock MIUI launcher was buggy and try to use Nova Launcher as replacement. As of now, 1 month later, i never experience any of those problems. Hope that XIAOMI fix these kinds of problem. It is really frustrating. They're good on giving you value for hardware but interms of software, i still might choose SAMSUNGs One UI.
Love your reviews! Really do put the important stuff ahead of raw statistics lika on GA. Just keep it up! So, have the bugs been solved by an software update fresh into 2022.? And does 1080p/60fps video recording have EIS enabled now? Also, what phone would you recommend that has best(ish) 1080p/60 videos (front and/or back camera), with EIS (and/or OIS), but at the same time keeping it budget friendly? As far as I have seen so far, the Xiaomi has excellent EIS software installed for the budget.
DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. GAMING GRAPHICS ARE AWESOME AND SUPER SMOOTH. CAMERA IS SMOOTH AND PERFECT QUALITY. BEAUTIFUL PHONE IN GENERAL AND LOTS OF STORAGE
So with Realme or Xiaomi you will have to skip two/three/four 'generations' of phones until you find one, that you really prefer - you just have to withstand all offers and prices before 🤷😉...
I swear Mediatek Helio Series ISP's suck compared to Snapdragon counterparts. I've noticed frequent oversharpening and blotchiness in photos from devices that have Helio p60 up to devices that have helio G Series, plus video quality is bad also.
does anyone know a alternative phone that can match this phone? in my country this phone is sold for like 150-160 usd for 8/128 model which is a total bargain. but i would like to have more than 1 option to consider but so far i have not successfully find a phone that can rival this phone at that price range and spec
Heyyy it would be cool if you make an update for the note 10 pro, many people report extreme problems and bugs that we all hope that will get fixed with updates. People mention faulty hardware device production stuff etc It would be really cool if you made a quick vid just to update us about all that.
SLEEP BUG - Does anybody have this phone? Does really this deep sleep bug is such common? Or can you describe more what really happens, I mean you just need to push the button more times to wake the screen or it is really not responding and what can you do if so? I wanted to buy but now it makes me hasitating... 😭
you forgot to mention the 10S has no hdr support sadly, i was torn between the poco x3 and the 10s, Mi confirmed hdr support isnt there, very strange on a amoled with a 1100 nit brightness and Dimming
Dude, when it will be available in markets ? Secondly, have you noticed any heating while normal usage not for gaming ? I'm waiting this for almost one and a half months nows. By the way, really impressed by your in depth review. You got a new subscriber.
Specs are nice as always, but as a lover of Miui, I'm starting to hate it. With every launch, there's always bugs, and xiaomi takes sometimes years to fix bad features and bugs. I remember Miui have issues with WhatsApp in 2015. 6 years after, you can still see ppl complaining about it. They've been using bad mics forever, and they keep at it. Like seriously, Xiaomi really needs a kick in their ass to get the software part going.
Oh, so the thing with audio messages on WhatsApp being really low is a software issue? I really liked this cell phone but I'm afraid the mic is going to be low when sending audio messages through WhatsApp. Do you know if this problem still exists?
No, that's rhe mic, cus they always use the same crappy mics 1-2 years, then they change them, for something 5% better as the industry goes on. The WhatsApp thing is notifications.
@@TTks124 and what's wrong with the notifications? What's the bug? Can you describe? I've just broke my Xiaomi mi a2 which was really good, really cheap and no bugs at all, even with WhatsApp.
@@thecolorstoriez9532it depends. It changed over the years. Mostly was the configuration of autostart, run in the background permission, or battery optimisation setting, that either did nothing when setting it up, or changed back on. Even when turning MIUI optimisation off, it was only a placebo effect, cus the effects of it will still remain, and battery optimization would still fuck with apps like WhatsApp and Telegram and others. Lately on the pocophone x3 and other xiaomis with Miui 12, WhatsApp notifications come very late, if you're on 5ghz WiFi, and there's nothing you can do to solve it, but use 2.4ghz or data.
Good review. I think the 10S provides good value for the price... Assuming they fix the wake problem. I would run the Note 10 Pro at 60hz for improved battery life anyway.
I have been using it for almost a year so far. It is a phone with great screen, speakers, buttons, quick response, but a hiccup wiped everything I had in my phone. Then, it was upgraded to Android 12. I am still using it.
@@manwell235 It is buggy in general. Not great user experience on Facebook or RU-vid. I use it to browse Facebook posts, watch RU-vid videos, and film videos for my RU-vid channel. I have already put my SIM card in my Samsung S7 FE.
Excellent video, many thanks. Can I ask if you or anybody can feel a slight bump on the back in the middle of the phone just in line with the bottom of the camera about two thirds of the way up from the bottom. I'm wondering if this could just be a cable underneath slightly pushing against the back panel or if this isn't normal. Many thanks for any replies.
I've got this phone recently, and got some "problems" I think they don't have a fix but still want to ask if anyone has any solution First, the front camera looks horribly blurry in the app/preview, Found out that turning the front flash always on KINDA fixes it but still, low light front camera photos look the same or even worse than my prior Redmi 8. Second thing is the speakers volume, the sound is pretty good Quality wise I think but "volume" wise, it's not THAT loud, again my Redmi 8 used to sound A LOT stronger/louder than this one does, is the phone just like that? is there any way to work around that to make it sound louder? PS: I kinda fix the selfie camera Issues by using the Gcam, actually it helps A LOT (at least with the selfie camera, main camera stock vs Gcam.... there's not a big of a difference actually) apart from that, the phone is a really good upgrade from my Redmi 8 and really enjoying everything else apart from those 2 things
Wakey wakey.. eggs bakey... 😄😄 good one Chris! A good offering from Xiaomi at this price point though. But I agree for a little more the note10 pro is the smarter buy. On your way to 400k Chris. All the best ✌✌
Can someone tell me if he's best to by it cuse man spend 260$ in a shit phone isnt right and isnt easy to collect so i need only 5 days to by it and need suggestions
Very detailed review You swept all the important stuff Good luck in upcoming reviews If i ask you what phone you can advice me to buy under (300$).Which one would you choose(good camera, good screen)? Thanks
I was having a hard time accepting that this is a good phone buh after watching your review I am certain about it. Now I can go and buy one for myself. Thank you very much
When you say the 10pro screen is much better than that of the 10s, do you say that just because of the 120hz and the slightly higher nits/contrast or is the screen overall better as well? (do colors etc look as good on the 10s?)
@@gabriel10wesley 10 not for me as I was specifically looking for a phone with NFC. 10s is a great value, but it has a Mediatek chip instead of Snap Dragon, which means slightly worse battery and most likely fewer future updates. I´d get the 10s if: a) you don't game/don't care about the refresh rate, b) you plan on renewing your cellphone in a relative short time (not gonna keep it for 6 years), c) you don't plan on installing custom ROMS, d) you don't care about a slightly worse camera. If you can wait for a sale, I'd just buy the 10Pro.
Just got mine last week it's a great for for people like me who don't really play games besides gta 🤣 the camera is good but not great especially on low light
The colours are someshow very DARK when i watch RU-vid. To be honest i don't like the display of phone, you are losing a lot of details while watching videos, no idea why
I like how you're really showing the ports nowadays, instead of just saying it. Either you suffer from blurryblotchyface or the selfie cam ain't that great. Video w/o any stabilization is simply unusable. It shoudln't exist.
Don't get this , rather save a bit more and get the poco x3 pro or 10 pro . Still this is a decent enough daily driver that should keep you going for a good couple of years.
I bought my mom - Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 (Snapdragon 678 (11 nm)) - I have to verify DC Dimming perhaps has it too. But - I noticed that in scrolling on Note 10 the pixel response is low. Black text smears leaves blurred trace right behind it is less than 1mm. It's nothing fundamental, but I was surprised by it in oled. I didn't catch anything like that with your 10S in this video. Can you confirm do you see something similar scrolling up and down in menu?
does it still have the sleep bug now ? cuz i want to get it but im afraid , i got a poco m3 some months ago and got some miui updates that made him die , m3 is so bad they havent fixed this massive bug yet and its been like 4 months since then .
My brother got this phone, and it was looking pretty good when I first saw it. But then issues came in, that I wouldn't have thought could happen to anyone in general. The first issue, is that the camera's outer glass broke, which luckely didn't affect the camera quality. But the second one is quite serious. At totally random times, the phone locks up for some reason, reboots, but then doesn't boot into it's system. When this happens, the only way out of it, is a factory reset. This has happened TWO times now, and I'm very afraid, that my brother's constantly going to lose all of his pictures and data just beacuse of a software bug. I don't know if this issue has happened to anyone else, but i think it's quite dangerous to trust all of your data on a phone, which could just trash it out at any moment.
@@juriedesu6868 We don't really know what broke the camera lens, maybe he dropped it accidentally one time and didn't notice it. I think the reboot issue most likely could be a software bug, since I don't believe Xiaomi gives out faulty phones even if they aren't very premium, but yeah. It's been like almost a year, since the other reboot has happened and we're hoping it won't happen again. I wish the best for you
Hello good morning Redimi Note 10s model - M2101K7B1 This mobile suddenly went out of light for a few days. After pressing the button, the sound of opening the lock is heard but the light does not come. After a few minutes the light comes on again. You can tell why this is a problem. Or how to solve this problem. Please tell, whats the story of them big puppys .....
I like to share my experiences with this Redmi Note 10s.The main reason I bought it because of its specifications. But there is one problem.Screen recording problem. The visual is really good but when being recorded it's quality dropped ,not because I minimise the quality but because of that display(I think). The screen recording seem to be over polarised which is too bright. Please give me advice what should I do?
