I think design should not be an option in this series. Because everyone have different choice, like I prefer the Redmi design over the Samsung, and it kinda hurts when I saw the Samsung winning the design category. I think it should be only about build quality.🎉
I went in a couple days back to pick my very first Redmi to replace my 2 year old A¹². And first thing the guy at slot asked me was why would I leave Samsung for a Xiaomi note ¹². I scoffed and told him am a practical guy, and performance wise you can't pitch an A¹⁴ against a Redmi note ¹² and expect me to go with the Samsung because of a reputation built on stability and consistency alone. Stability doesn't deliver performance. That same stability was Samsung's claim to power the same year I chose the A¹² over other budget options, and 2 years in not saying I regret it cos I worked my ass off to pimp my A¹² to unbelievable levels 😅 but am saying even after everything I can clearly see what I been missing barely 72 hours with my new Redmi note ¹². I get it Samsung is the BMW of this market, they make great cars but I'd still go for a very great Toyota that just came out this year if that BMW specs don't meet my performance needs.
Exactly. I feel same way. When i had a redmi phone i loved the customization, the infrared blaster. I loved miui etc. I loved how xiaomi uses better chipset, better accessories than their competition. But majority of phone users in Nigeria are not tech savvy. Thay cant tell 60hz from 120hz. They don't care abt amoled or lcd all they care abt is battery life..
Here ur analogy is wrong. Samsung is actually the toyota while Xiaomi is the BMW. 😂😂😂. Toyota is a well known brand but BMW is not,Well at least not in Nigeria. A14 is actually a better choice. Its not jst abt specs. Software n hardware integration matters as well as resale value. Samsung is a very well known brand in nigeria. Customer and technical services are way more accessible than Xiaomi/Mi/redmi... In short Nigerian person go rather hold 150k Samsung than hold 150k MI Phone
@@patachumon. True, I updated my Redmi 9 from Android 10 to Android 12 and I totally regret it. It lags way more than before. I can't even successfully minimize call of duty without it starting over. When I get my next Xiaomi phone I'm never updating it.
That line..."I don't know who let Redmi cook, but they did cook" 🔥... Redmi is the better and safer choice for me here...better features, camera and better value for money. Samsung lost this battle 💯
How is your decision going so far? I bought and used this redmi for 3 weeks and returned it because it just was not cutting it for me. It started lagging, apps took a bit longer to come up from minimized state, the phone started getting hot with just 3 apps open and calls would come in with no visualization except ringtone. I got the Samsung and my life is simple now. DO NOT BE DECEIVED- This Redmi does not match up to A14.
Well Eugoson, I love the way you go down to break the details either while comparing 2 devices or just unpacking specifications of a phone. I was really looking for a good budget phone and you helped me make this Redmi note 12 choice. Thanks bro ❤
MIUI had gotten way better since MIUI 12, but updates can still be very incosistent and very random, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G EU Global just few days ago got Android 13 (Global Global still did not) while my Redmi Note 10 Pro had it for MONTHS. I would still pick the Redmi of course.
as a samsung fanboy and i know one ui is better than any android skin out of the market , i would say note 12 is better , 4 gen 1 outsold this crap 850 , i'm A71 user and i know damn well that the A14 will lag like hell , thank god the A15 will comes with dimensity 6100+ which is 3x better than exynos 850
@@scorpionm1555 I dropped both and went for the Tecno Camon 20. It offers better value for money and comes with more premium features for a budget phone when compared to what these 2 phones can offer
i did the opposite i ordered camon 20 pro 4g but saw many comments saying it drains battery fast so i planned on cancelling it tom when it arrived and considering buying note 12 cause ive been using note 6 pro for 5 years and it still works
@@Andrea-ki9fe The battery draining issue could be because of the high refresh rate (120Hz). This ultimately means you're sacrificing performance for the battery. The Premier model is great since you can adjust the refresh rate as you want
Fucking Samsung doesnt give you charger into the box😔Only for that reason I would buy Redmi Note any time of the day! Redmi Note is also a much better and well rounded phone!
Redmi is safe enough, redmi is cheaper, redmi has better camera, MIUI is stable enough. Samsung is only for people who hate redmi and needs samsung but to be honest I would rather choose iphone (i know it is shit) rather than samsung a14
I'm considering the Note 12. I already have an A23 5G and found it to be a disappointment. I'm a lot more pleased with my 2022 Moto G Stylus which was cheaper. They both have bells & whistles I don't have a use for but the Moto has things the Samsung can only dream about. Actually, two of them Samsung USED to have.🤷🏼♂️
Thank you for making tech videos, it's refreshing with the subtle comedic moments, keep growing! Keep creating! #teamRedmi I still think since the Redmi Note 10/pro they've been taking steps back
@@EugosonQuorch I keep wondering if perhaps seeing how far forward the 10 series was, Redmi thought to dial it back and focus on cashing in on their lead. Why do more if people will be more than happy with less?
@@EugosonQuorch I'm curious to see what the pixel 7a comes with, in the price range of the Redmi Note 12 pro I think the competition gets stiffer... Just above that line I think OEMs start to get more serious. One UI is great but I think MiUI needs sone accolades for being miles ahead of HiOS (iOS)
Hey man , I just checked out ur video , I need ur help , I have been using Samsung phones all my life . I'm currently using the galaxy a12 which I have had for nearly 3 years and its showing its age , its slow at charging and a big issue is if I open the gallery , sometimes the back button won't close the apps so the only way I can get out of the apps is by pressing the 0 button at the bottom of the screen to get out . I have been thinking of upgrading for the past week or so . I've never used xiaomi phones , or owned one . Would you recommend buying the note 12 . The other issue on the a12 is that with work ( I work in the transport industry in Ireland ) I tend to use Samsung notes , to record my daily hours and jobs/duties , as well as using the voice recorder , as well as the samsung calander . If I was to buy the xiaomi note 12 , can these notes / recordings be transfered over from the galaxy a12 to the xiaomi note 12 directly . Is there an app pre installed on this phone to allow this to be done . I know if your transferring data from samsung to samsung ( there is smart switch , but this app doesn't always transfer over everything successfully ) . Thanks for your help and I will eagerly await your reply . I've liked and subscribed to your channel . Thanks mate . Take care .
I was in exactly the same situation as you and I found the move from a12 to redmi note 12 pretty good. The notes did transfer perfectly, much to my relief.
xiaomi's MIUI used to be unstable but i feel that from version 12 to the current 14 have had major improvements and work great. The redmi has AMOLED 120hz which was probably sourced from samsung also no way that the exynos SoC is more power effecient than the Qualcomm one and seeing that if you go for the same ram n storage options the samsung is a bit more expensive than xiaomi here in Kenya how is samsung the winner?
It depends on the county you lived. For the Samsung Galaxy A14 LTE In the Philippines the based model for that unit it only 4gb ram and 128gb storage available only. Plus it comes with charger! Oh my !!!! Hahahahah except for higher model like on A34 or A54 even the flagship. And the Samsung Galaxy A14 LTE in the Philippines is powered with Mediatek helio g80, yup you've heard it HELIO G80!!!!! Yes it makes sense why Samsung limits this kindi of spec of other countries due to the cost and the currency.
With Note 12 and Qualcomm CPU we will most likely see custom roms such as pixel experience in the future. Extending its software life far beyond what the manufacturer supports.
The only area that Samsung supercedes Redmi in this category is software updates and probably durability because my Samsung Galaxy A30 purchased in 2019 is still going strong till date.
I have a Redmi Note 4x that I have had for the last 10 years! Never had a problem with it and am thinking of updating to the Redmi Note 12, problem is - do I really need to?
I used Redmi 10 for almost two years, just a few lagging here and there. Switching from different users made the phone really lag and possibly hang sef. also the phone heated up easily. I want to know if redmi have sorted these issues with the new note 12?
I bought and used this Redmi for 3 weeks and returned it because it just was not cutting it for me. It started lagging, apps took a bit longer to come up from minimized state, the phone started getting hot with just 3 apps open and calls would come in with no visualization except ringtone. @@worldwidespy7178Just go for the Redmi. I've used both and it's just leagues better. Though if you're willing to order online, then get the Camon 20.
@@worldwidespy7178I wonder why people don't reply comments like this which is crucial for decision making and won't take away anything from them except the excuse is that they didn't see it in their notifications
not as you say, you just took some phone, not good. all of us who comment tell me that it is good for its money. I have the same phone with the largest memory and ram and I have been using it for almost 10 months, there is nothing wrong with it. it is even perfect for the money. it's even very cheap for this memory. I'm telling you again that you bought a defective phone, it's nothing else.
Here in Nigeria samsung retains its value over time. Cant say same for redmi. Samsung cameras will perform better in all conditions but the redmi will only perform in certain condition eg where there's enough light and lit up areas. Like u said, stability over features
your videos are really amazing bro ❤ great quality. simple english ❤and your editing technics are more exiting your camara angles also very amazing. I love it ❤.You will reach 1M subscribe counts with your subscribers( Your Family )🎉❤. Waiting from Sri Lanka
I feel no phone is perfect even the Samsung one ui can also have bugs been using note 10 for 2yrs now and it keeps getting better no bug just wiped my phone since 2years of use cuz I feel I should just free my phone
I have been using my Redmi 9 for almost 3 years already. Sure I have software issues with it here and there but for its price and the performance its offer. I definitely don't regret buying it. Xiaomi main concern for user has always been the software but rest assured they update it a lot during the first 2 years.
Don't touch the redmi it's hopeless. Callers can't get through. About half of phonecalls you can't answer as the answer button doesn't pop up. Battery life is terrible. It's junk.
Mind blowing review bro im from pakistan i searched this same camparsion on youtube but i was not satisfied but after watching your vedio im fully stisfyed thank u and keep it up.....love from pakistan
a rational cuustomer always choose to go for redmi note 12 as its beating in almost all areas the samsg A14 and the only option with the custoemer is to choose A14 if he is a past samsng user and he has goodwill for samsung in his mind. otherwise i don't thisk it will be a good decision to decide A14 over Redmi Note 12 .
I have a Redmi Note 12 and it ia a pretty awesome phone I mean this is a budget phone but still love everything about it and its been like 2 months and still learning new stuffs about this phone❤❤❤❤🎉
Thank you very much! I'm going to buy a phone for my father. He's not very "techish", he just needs the basics, but I want something nice with the basics. The Redmi.
I’m looking forward to buy the note 12 in Europe it only costs me 230 euro . And also is redmi good for social media use and light gaming ??? As a daily user
Xiaomi or redmi best choice recommend standard price gift fast charger and won't robbed money SD card.now Samsung and warranty got robbed charge money from phone fold brand Lucky not me i stop at Samsung note8 never looking put forward Samsung phone brand
I use Huawei Nova 7i but today I got hold of a Redmi 2014 phone and I started doing some comparison with my Huawei. Oh my goodness, Redmi is a very good phone! Why is it not well known out there?
I really dont get why ppl still choose one ui over others overlays... I just think that ppl are just sticking to what others tell them and this is beyond ridiculous. I had the last one ui on a Samsung a34 not long ago and its a mess. It lags, its not fluid at all, on some apps its really slowing down, its crap and that's all. The only way to have good one ui is to buy s series Samsung and they are not that great as well because of exynos shit. Samsung is wayyy overrated and after that horrendeus a34 i will never buy any other phones to them.
@@EugosonQuorch I mean, I just liked how you presented the whole thing- Speech, Pacing, Pronunciation- they just sounded awesome. Also, the comparison 🔥🔥
@@xora2065Idk why everybody is talking about gcam but its trash. I tried with a Xiaomi 11t pro and it was trash over the original camera app. A lot of options werent there so yeah...
I totally understand when he says OneUi is more stable than MiUi The Redmi A1+ I got for my brother won't open RU-vid and some other apps that works normally for other phones that are similar
My redmi 9T outlasted my cousins samsung..bought just days apart..her samsung is dead now while my redmi is still flexing muscles aside from few scratches and dings on the screen
I now got a clarity to go for Redmi Note 12. I wanted to purchase Note 11 last year but when a saw the curved back and it was in black I almost felt irritated (I don't know why), so I instead went for Vivo y33s
How long does it took to fully charged? And does it have sim slots? Im confused. On google it says that it doesn't have slots. Perhaps SD card slot and not the sim slot.
