I have my this phone for a year already. No lags, battery is awesome, playing game? Smooth. No problem so far :D Edit: my phone performance is still excellent as of oct.23,2021 😄
Jascha, if you curb your expectations I guess any phone specs will be good for you. But there is realism in much of what Miguel the reviewer said such as those that refer specifically to the performance, knowing that after awhile if the phone fails to pique your enthusiasm due to a mediocre over all performance, it becomes annoying. Really annoying in fact. And that 4gb ram is really somewhat "risqué" nowadays since data, apps and games are developing more and more under a higher gigabyte environment. That means that the phone's usability may not extend farther than a year, compelling you to purchase a newer one soon eventually. That's okay if you're rich and loaded.
Watching on my Redmi Note 8 moonlight white, I totally love it! EDIT: After 6 months of use, the phone started to show screen burnt issues, the WiFi turns off by itself sometimes, but I think that's more of a software issue. I'd say get the Pro version if you can or get RN9.
Dude don't listen to this dude 😂 Xiaomi note 8 is absolutely amazing for a budget mobile. This dude is criticising a budget phone for having a slow finger print scanner and saying we should expand our budget and buy the pro version like whattt bruhh I'm broke 😂 I've been using this phone for almost 6 months this and it's absolutely amazing GO BUY THAT SHIT 👀
Thanks Miguel for an enlightening review of this model. I wanted to grab one for myself but I was wondering if it's gonna put me off in certain areas which would make me regret buying it in the first place. And the lag plus the sort of disappointing night shots did put me off. I was however surprised that it had a 400 ppi which in my book is quite good. Judging from the most common opinions and thoughts nowadays, I think a 6gb ram/128 gb storage should now be the industry base standard.
i've used the note 8 for over 6 months and i don't plan on buying a new phone anytime soon, i am sure this phone is gonna handle really well for the next year too
Don't test this phone out on features you want to know with a live wallpaper next time. Live wallpaper would hinder its performance since there's some additional activity on the background.
Have this phone on at&t and I'm loving it! The cameras are so good and gcam is great on this device as well. Xiaomi has just updated the launcher and you now have an app drawer that you swipe up from the home screen to access. I love this so much more than the apps all on the screen like Apple does. Battery is solid and will still get you through a day with ease.
@@umaizkhan1 Hi, no heat problems here I've been using it for 6 days now and the battery is also very good I only charge it once a day after a very hard use throughout the day. You're having heat and battery issues with yours I assume?
@@nithinmalhotra361 thinking bout upgrading from note 5, do you mind telling me how the front camera looks when you video chat with others? Redmi note 5 has a massive quality drop as supposed to normal pictures
visit your device's forum in XDA search for gcam topic to see which gcam version works stable download a gcam apk here www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-suggested/ check install from unknown sources install enjoy
Got this phone few days ago. 4ram/64rom. Para sa akin ha, for a budget phone at Less than 10k... I love it. The phone is very nice. When I got it, available na agad ang MIUI 11. Ako na nag update. The 48 mp was perfect for me. The speaker was good. I love the display/screen quality medyo di na malayo sa iphones. Isa lang napansin ko, medyo nag he-heat sya when I played Mobile legends pero di yung extreme talaga, lets say "warm" na level. So far, no lags. I like it. Again, its nice bilang isang budget phone less than 10k.
Might still buy this just because swak sya for a small budget! Pros still outweigh the cons, anf we can't expect much from a more budget friendly phone hehehe
For my experience i by it after 1 month because Wi-Fi is very bad it disconnect and dust get inside camera glass verry heavy in hand now i am really enjoying my huawei y7p i don't use phone for games things a lot for reviews you do great job that was my opinion
The best feature I'm most thankful for is the IR blaster!!! Not finding the tv remote, my aircon remote not working etc... Its amazing. The other day I was in a caffee and the aircon was just too cold, the waitress didnt want to turn it down, so I helped myself.
Naguguluhan na talaga ako between redmi note 8 vs. realme 5. Sa realme 5 nakaka turn off and walang fast charge at tsaka walang type c usb. Mababa din ang display. On the other hand sa redmi note 8 naman walang HFR sa mobile legends at tsaka ang MiUI very well known for having lots bugs(first hand expereience since im an ex rmn4x user). At tska konti lang service center nila, yung rn4x ko walang madalhan kaya nakatiwangwang nalang na sira kasi sa probinxa ako nka tira malayo sa city. Anu ba talaga bibilhin ko hahayz.
I'll answer it. Yung RN8 is magkakaroon din ng hfr mode, and MIUI 11 is smoother than the 10. Finifix na naman nila yung bug. Napakaactive pa ng community. Kung service center lang edi sa xundd ka magparepair kung may damages man
I'm one of the Xiaomi Fans and I Love This Phone because it makes me pretty when it comes to photography because i love the 48mp camera my concern only is on my game Mobile Legends it has no HFR but overall it's beautiful and it's also fast when it comes to charging... I always use my sister's 18w charger from her Redmi Note 8 Pro.. I hope that may God Bless you For making this video because it's impressive that i cant shoot up to 4k 30fps...☺️
@@errolirickewalican3487 if redmi note 8 has 48mp camera while the realme 5 has only 12mp lugi si rn8 kasi wala pa syang hfr sa mlbb pero magkakaroon yan sa mga note 8 users rn8 has fhd display while the realme 5 has only hd display.. kung gusto mo ay may hfr kaagad sa mlbb mo mag realme 5 ka nalang pero kung gusto mo ay pang photography mag rn8 ka nalang
Last Sunday i bought redmi note 8 but I'm facing some issues with this like, It takes 2 hours for full charging and i think if its come with 18 watt charger so it should be chagre in approx 1 hour and 2nd thing is that slow motion camera is not good because it blink light in the night. So I'm planning to replace this Phone. Thanxx to all viewer and commenters, Sachin
After having a redmi note 8 for nearly 4 months my only complaint is that the screen get scratches easily, I think it is gorilla glass 5 but still getting scratch easily other than that a brilliant phone for the price
Right now, I'm opting to get the cheapest variant considering that I don't play heavy-duty games. Just a casual user, who just wants to get things done like taking notes and photos. Hopefully, I can get one sooner.
Speaking about UI performance when you got a live wallpaper. Something you shouldn't be doing. Though in their defence, just because they enabled the live wallpaper for the B-roll doesn't mean they did so during testing phase. Oh wait, got the same exact phone in my hands right now, never mind.
My note 7 randomly up and died on me after 6 months. And the volume keys and power key stopped working as well. Curious to ask if you thought this could happen with the note 8??
As he said things starts to lag and stops responding if you do things to fast I always stop give it like 10 secs to load and boost the performance this usually happens because of the low amount of storage left and useless clutter
Me too my redmi note 7 was damage.. because of heating issue of the phone very heat😑😕 now im planning to buy a new phone.. mybe realme or oppo... i like the color of redmi note 8 but the problm is the phone heating..
Please don't, i cant stand it when youtubers do the over excited, "WHATSUP GUuyys!!". It is so unnecessary, especially when it's an on point phone review. RU-vidrs that do that are uninteresting and are trying to remind you they are there or are trying to buy time because there isn't actually all that much in the video.
Hey, can anyone help me with this? Is 4gb RAM really really necessary in today's world of smartphones? I mean, for a phone to be used for the social media, taking photos, browsing the Internet, watching RU-vid? Is 3gb RAM enough for those kind of activities? What is the actual difference between 3gb and 4gb RAM in that kind of usage then?
I have this phone its awesome its a perfect gaming phone its awesome and i have the moonlight color i thought neptune blue would be good but i discovered its not but i domt have 64 giga bytes i have 128 :/
So you don't advise this phone for gaming? If it doesn't run mobile legends that good what more for my main game tho. Too bad. Was about to cop one. Need to look for a better one then.
@@Codexxx_00 really? Kasi I play Ragnarok Mobile.
Dont buy this phome it's better na nag RN8PRO ka or REALME 5 PRO ka nalang.
Do you recommend this one or the pro version. I'll use it mostly to watch content and the pro has the same resolution and less ppi. So since I dont need the extra ram and the camera that much I think it's clear. What do you think?
If you can, spend $50 more dollars on the Pro. It's way better for gaming and in general its just better. But the regular note 8 is also really amazing too.
WAG NIYO BILIN TONG PHONE NA TO! LAGING NAG PAPA UPDATE NG APPS.
