Tim, Pam, and Terry's relationship sold me on this channel. Saw one clip and fell in love with your stuff. You're very talented and honestly it's like watching a restaurant version of The Office. You capture the essence and persona of every character skillfully. My favorite comedy RU-vid channel! Thank you for the laughter!
You can see that Tim and Pam enjoy being there and would probably be more fun than most of the customers to have a drink with. You also have to wonder if Terry isn’t actually happy to walk around talking about all these things he’s grown up knowing that are beneath other customers he serves. It’s a joyous wee dynamic. Feel a bit for the dude serving, he’s doing his best but on this one isn’t at the races.
1. The customer was happy 2. He didn't throw the server under the bus 3. He didn't have to comp anything Terry is nothing short of a legend. He's good for the customer, good for the staff, and good for the business.
I don't want to be a party pooper, but the actor playing Pam is way more talented than the actors playing the three other characters. He should get his own show! ☺️
As a literal server who was the only one who spoke southern and redneck, and upper crust the amount of times I got called over was insane lmao. This channel is so accurate
I moved to Texas 12 years ago from San Diego, and people still look at me funny cuz I call em' Sodas. Another one I havent lost is calling supper; dinner, while out here everyone calls lunch; dinner, and dinner; supper. And yes, lol; I drink unsweet tea and add sweetner; TX tea too dang sweet. Tell that to a Texan and they call it blasphemy, or they'll bless your heart..
@@hisbidding i work at an arby’s in a truck stop town, and man do we make the tea diabetic. i could never stand to drink it and i am a native tennessean,, these southern folk that come through, though, always compliment the sweetness. absolutely wild to me.

@@rachymn7883 In Alabama, Roll Tide is the battle cry/catchphrase of the University of Alabama. War Eagle is the counterpart of their in state rival, Auburn University. Think the American college equivalent of ManU and Man City.

I love how striking the difference in performance is from the 1st to the 10th, slowly figuring out the iconic accent and speech pattern of each character. I only found this channel recently but the way these three characters are played makes them feel like I've known them my whole life.

Love that the compilation ended on “Y’all got McRib?” 😂 I will never get enough of watching Tim and Pam. I wish Pam could take the long-suffering dad-joke wife out for girls’ night to swirl some wine together.
i like seeing the origins of terry's relationship with tim and pam. just from a quick "i speak redneck," there's now a whole relationship built on hometown sensibilities between customers and a professional. i really like their interactions where terry's calming tim down, as well as having brad's back.
That's one regional thing I didn't know before seeing the short. The best part of it is that Terry KNOWS to ask "What Kind?" Instead of just getting an actual coca cola.
there's a very similar thing in dutch where a limonade is used to refer to all soft drinks. The confusion when my aunt asked me if I wanted a 'lemonade' and then asked what kind was massive

As someone from Alabama that "Roll tide" to end your conversation is what really sales it! I knew so many people who talk just like that. But as a Auburn fan that War Damn Eagle and their reaction killed me XD
That's the 1st time I saw the one where you hear war damn eagle in retaliation...I lost it. There's a rule in Alabama: it's a law to yell out your own allegiance when hearing either of these college war calls...on a good day you can clear a restaurant out if you get MORE of one than the other!!! ROLL TIDE!!!
Drew, I know the neither the customer nor the server isn’t always right but your character Tim has the right combiation of respect, delivery and straightforwardness that makes everyone feeling like a winner and still enjoy the dining out experience. You should definitely start a school or head a course in restaurant customer relations. Thank you, Drew.

I never realized Pam didn't actually show up until quite a few videos in! I was waiting and waiting, lol Also, I still say to this day that the A1 bit is my favorite. 😂👌
i still remember when this channel started out with that first sketch of the beers and watching it about 10 times just because the chemistry you create between two characters is so captivating and entertaining. now theres a full cast for us to enjoy. thank you for all of your work
Lol, growing up in a rural town that rib skit really struck home with me. Restaurant ribs will never compare. Especially at the price they try to sell them at. I too will take the burger.
I've watched every single one of this man skits/videos. I've been working as a waitstaff for less than a year. I've experienced everything or close to everything he's talking about. Lol he's amazing. This is like behind the scenes but not fully behind the scenes. I love it lol
I started working in restaurants when I first started working. Lasted a good 5-6 years. Every single one of these no matter which character is in them are spot on and I love them so much. Haven’t worked in a restaurant for over 20 years now, but it still resonates and makes it feel like yesterday.
We need Brad's commentary on how he feels each time Tim and Pam come in! Like we need to see what happens when he steps away from the table to let Terry handle the situation. 😂

I’ve met people exactly like Terry. They will be nice until something is different than their usual. It takes a special person to calm them down… someone like Terry Also I like these compilations. Please do more
Terry is portrayed as actually very good talking with customers. He can "code switch" at a moment's notice in order to communicaye with all different types of customers. It's played for comedic effect here, (of course), but that is actually a very special skill set that not everybody can master. Super important for somebody in a public facing managerial position.
25 years BoH and these things are always SUPER on point about 'how it is'. Not gonna front tho; it was Terry an'thems' interaction, ending with the 'Roll Tide' that made me the MASSIVE fan of your work I am today.

I do and I can say that I LOVE people like this. Bo fancy words, no backstabbing just honnesty. If such person is near a bar (I work as a bartender) I never try to upsell them anything (something I'm amazingly good at). I just ask few questions, give my most honnest opinion on what to order and gladly pour whatever they want. Real life example: -Yo, bartender kind'a thirsty. -All yours, bud. Got your mind set on anything or should I help you out? -How expensive is beer? Daylight robbery? Not from here and first time in restaurant- -Got you. Well if you want something on the strong side I would recomend cha-cha (georgian "vodka"), or you can grab a bottle of Jameson. -Bottles are 0.5? That would be to much or to expensive- * Me looking around for my boss * -Lissen. If you can't finish the bottle you come to bar and then my boss isint looking, you know same one that is preparing table for you, I'll give you a cork to close it. And I can't really see well in my left eye so you might just take it home.... -Cha cha cha! How much is bottle of Jameson? -One liter is 60€. But lissen. Such bottle in shop is ~40. This is THE BEST price to alch ratio we have. None of what I said here is a lie. I usually recomend food with drinks to once again I don't oversell it. No BS, no I'm an expert and I read that this is that etc. Just simple human to human conversation

"you like grits?" the first time i had polenta, i literally begged anybody familiar with southern quisine whether polenta is not, in fact grits. i guess they're a different grain from a different continent, but then again, so are sweet potatoes and yams. love this stuff. was first introduced to these skits by reddit's tales from your server. am hooked!!!
