AI has its uses in animation for sure. It can be used to help with some tasks like adding in the base colors after the line art is done or other simple tasks. But it’s a tool, and the heart and soul must be put in by people. It reminds me of a video by Doodley talking about choppy animation where it was mentioned how the creatives were “fighting” the computer. Not literally, but they were pushing the limitations and tweaking parts of the animation to get the effect they wanted. The computer can smooth out the motions of the characters, but that’s a different end result. I feel like AI as a tool is that. It can help animators and artists in little ways and the animators and artists can continue to tweak and create their work.
Fun! They could all be cast within the same story with a red, blue, gray vibe haha each chapter devoted to them is their specific color. Maybe the red bunny is moving or getting a new job with the other two. I think the blue braids mage is my fave; simple yet memorable. I hope you consider furry AI art or fandom AI art (where it's explicitly meant to be a franchise character) whenever you feel like a change of pace. It'd be interesting to see what you do for a more unique interpretation plus those aren't hard to find. You can even try out different styles that way or continue transferring them into your own style.
Hi from Indonesia. Of all three redesigns on this video, I think the third one is one of my favorites because she's kinda fit in any fantasy stories not to mention she does resemble a character from a popular gacha game (Yes I'm not going to say the name of that game, do yeah forgive me for not saying it).
I also commissioned one of my two best friends to redraw a few flawed AI art pieces due to my OCD, which makes me notice the imperfections in AI art. We humans have to fix broken details, like distorted fingers and hands. 😅
✏️ . Honestly like the prince design. Would love it more like you said if it wasn’t originally an ai piece. Why does ai have to ruin such solid designs I swear?!
I would like to steal the first ones hair bunnys. Give me the hair bunnys. Or i will put lego in your shoes. (jk i wont do that. 10/10 video. I think more lovely art gremlins need to do this.)
I do wonder if you could use ai with different art styles, redrawing it it your unique style, because the ones you've done so far all had Genshin Impact vibes. But Genshin Impact is popular enough to get so many ai ripoffs so it's a large sampling ✏️
I probably could find AI images with different art styles and I’ll definitely consider it for a later video 👀✨ but ur right, genshin is definitely popular enough to have a ton of AI image copies (but I’ll still see what I can find either way!)
I'm thoroughly enjoying these videos, I love all the changes you make and I just absolutely adore your art style, really excited to see if you make more of these redesigns, :> 💕💕
thank you!! 🌟 i definitely want to continue this series, i have a lot of videos planned in the meantime but hopefully the next one in this series should be out soon 👀✨
if we’re talking about the original AI images that I used as reference when working on the redesigns, go right ahead! AI art can’t be copyrighted anyway lol (that being said tho, please credit me if you use the remade illustrations that I drew ✏️)
I'm an atheist but I gotta use this phrase here because it fits: "You're doing god's work" with these videos. AI being used to "make art" is not only a ridiculous notion but also a massive disrespect towards artists that work hard to develop their skills. Plus, since "AIrt" can' t be copyrighted, it isn't like anyone can complain about you correcting those abominations.
AI doesn't produce art. It produces images. And there's a difference. "Art" is defined as being created by a human being. AI generators, though programmed by humans, are not humans in and of themselves. And because it's the generator which amalgamates the images which are used to train it, aka it's doing the work, it is not a human being creating art. It's a program generating images. Period. This is why there's no copyright in AI images, and why it's fully lawful to take any AI image you find and use it as a reference for actual artwork.
