The way this house has been set up as far as rooms and sizes is just perfect. Pretty sure this house could work for so many different types of people and family sizes
Thanks for the great show. Please I need your advise which place would you recommend as best place to live for family with shopping, parks, great outdoors, happy vibe, which one would you go for very much appreciated.
There's so many places like that in the UK, I can't speak for the entire UK as I haven't lived everywhere, but I can definitely recommend to look in the South or Midlands areas!
There’s no grey, she says whilst in a room with grey walls. Lol! There was actual several grey walls. However, this was easily Emily’s best, most informative Welcome Home video to date!
Why architecturally are so many UK homes made to look like something designed 100 years ago? Why in the UK do we always seem to look backwards to 'the olden days' when things were great, apparently. Small 'c' conservativism. Don't dare to be open minded, forward looking, progressive. Daily Mail land
I think there's a strong portion of home buyers who enjoy older properties, but perhaps don't want the issues an older property brings. The characterful look is still HUGELY popular among home buyers, so combining it with a new-build with the pros of modern features and a new, fresh build is the best of both worlds 🏡
Redrow are the best builder in my opinion. I had a Redrow Sherbourne along time ago Sold it back in 2003 to relocate because of work. Wish they had brick house in the US they may do but not where I live. That is a dream house having a walk in closet that is a bonus.
In the add-ons you could probably opt for wardrobes instead of a desk, this is a show home so they've demonstrated all the different options you could have if you wanted!
Beautiful home. I’m especially pleased to see that the staircase does not flow directly opposite the front door which is a feng Sui disaster,as it means your money flows straight out the front door!
Oooh and I’ve just got the the bit in the snug.. do you know the name of the colour on the walls there as well please? Looking for those warm earthy yet neutral-ish tones and these are perfect! Thank you in advance to anyone who knows!
These houses have been built on a development near me…they are really well designed and feel spacious. The high ceilings and the deep skirting boards help to make them feel spacious. They had great architects on board.
Shame new builds are only built to last 50yrs! Wait few months the problems will start to appear New builds are built with no care When will this country learn from the victorians who actually knew how to build properties!
Redrow are definitely not your typical 'low-end' new build housebuilder, I have all faith that their properties will have a high standard of quality to last longer than 50 years! But I do understand where you're coming from!
I so badly wanted to dislike during my first view of this particular channel. Too young, too posh - ish, too pretty. What could go right? Yet it was superbly delivered. Not at all too young, not obviously unknowlegeable about general things like some other ditzy presenters / couples. I understand this one is Redrow affiliated, but it's the type of house guide I want to see and listen to. Some bits of information or views seemed missing from what i was used to - garden / outdoor area, fitted options, and price was available via a link I think, but extremely well put together. (OK - I slid forward through the sections at 1 am so i may have missed something - I'll watch again) 🙃 Thank you.
SO tough. I think there's no specific advice as everyones circumstances differ, but saving a little and often is the best advice I can give to get started!
The name of this property is actually referring to the style, the house developer named this style the 'Richmond', but yes, as the other comment says, it's also a location in Surrey, in the UK!
