So many reactors don't even comment on those transitions in and out of the car but the first time I saw this I was like "Wait... what?!" they are SO smooth. Another epic one take and I 100% would have busted my ass walking backwards through that first window shot. Also I love the hook on this song 🔥 I'll second a vote for Losing It. It's Ren's take on a track produced by Fisher and the lyrics he lays down on it are just insane. It's a great song.

I love how your reactions cover so many different aspects of Ren’s videos/songs. Luke Flegg (who filmed the Animal Flow video) did explain about the last transition….watch again and look out for the car on the right suddenly appearing. I wouldn’t have noticed that if Luke hadn’t mentioned this. As mentioned by a few others, definitely check out Murderer acoustic…..complete reinvention of the track and absolute 🔥.

Okay listen bro, in six months I found REN who has genuinely became my favorite artist. Now I believe I found the only reaction channel I've ever genuinely sat down and watched and loved the content. This was also apparently a direct challenge to the rapper King Dotta for a battle. Reactors really plugged into that scene connected the dots from some of the lines _immediately_ on the spot, which was pretty fun to see.

Luke Flegg filmed this. He said wanted to do all the filming himself, so there couldn't be someone else in the car. He said there are two cuts one entering the car and one exiting the car. On second cut, you can see the sudden appearance of a white car on the right hand side.
Thanks, I always enjoy your reactions/breakdowns. Just 1 cameraman on this (Luke Flegg), which is always the case (I believe) with Ren videos. Ren is uber involved, he has a vision and works very closely with his team. I believe Luke has commented how difficult the camera work was on this one, a one shot, I believe. The acoustic version is absolute 🔥🔥🔥.
Not only does Ren exercise, but having Mast Cell Activation Disorder/Syndrome (caused by the untreated Lyme disease) causes a lot of inflammation and allergies, which is a long way of saying he has a severely restricted diet of meat and a few vegetables. Under medical direction, he has to take a bunch of supplements to stay as healthy as possible and prevent malnutrition. It's actually kinda disturbing when you realize that what we've been taught is "good looking" (and dayum 😍) is actually a body that's nearly starving. Cray cray. Loven this song and the island-y feel. "Humble" and "Ocean" also have an island-y feel (sorta) and are 💯 vibes.

His film and computer equipment was stolen on xmas day. (The computer hard drive was later returned) and fans donated to a fund to help him replace equipment. Word is that the guy that wasn't part of it actually did call the cops, but the cops said that, oh, it's just ren doing a video. Ren did call beforehand.
I spent ages looking at the “transitions” in the video the same as you picked up - what I didn’t realise is that there are actually cuts as the camera goes in and out of the car. The videographer effectively handed the camera to themselves - it was them outside and inside the car - they reached in with the camera first, then cut and got in, then started again holding the camera outside and moved in - trying to make the movement the same. I’ve watched the shot moving in the car dozens of times in slow motion and I can’t see exactly where they hide the cut but moving out, the videographer pointed out the white car appears as the shot moves out as it showed up while shooting, and once you know what to look for, you can see that cut hidden in the transition out of the window. Going in the window at the start and moving to colour apparently they just did it, no cut no hand off of the camera. I was sure I had worked out that it was a hand off with the first camera operator moving off to the side of the window outside and handing it to someone, but apparently not. Yes, it’s all deceptively complicated how well done this is :)
If you watch animal flow next, the guy in the trunk is bound to a vertical pipe in the first scene ❤ layers! BTW the victim is ren's friend of flackerz photos and has done a lot of Ren's still photos. RU-vid has a marketing billboard somewhere in England hyping Ren and using his photos ❤
As I understand it, this looks like a one take but camera into and out of the car window are the only "cuts". Pass it in as far as possible, cut, get in the car, camera out the window and then continue the shot into the car. Stitch the two together in post. Only artifact is a white car that appears when the camera moves back out the car.

I saw a comment from a REN fan who noted that this video was made before Animal Flow and in the opening scenes there was a human tied up in the he room next to the pig butcher. Could it be the guy in the trunk?
Ren has like no body fat. He can only eat fresh meat cooked, squash, zucchini, cucumber celery,lettuce,and coconut oil. That is all. 😅and he likes to body build, so he looks even more ripped now.
Not sure if anyone else mentioned it, but speaking of reflections, the cameraman does get caught in the mirror in the bedroom at the beginning of the video, as Ren is leaving the room.

Ren said he did this song in response to the media’s coverage of Suic!de. CNN ran a piece where they very obviously didn’t listen to the song, and then claimed it was encouraging teens to unalive themselves. So he makes this song intentionally glorifying violence and murder and there’s no controversy at all.
