Reds' Derek Dietrich meets Fiona the Hippo, checks out Cincinnati! | Derek's Day Off

Derek Dietrich took us for an awesome tour of Cincinnati during a recent off-day! The Cincinnati Reds utilityman took us to the Cincinnati Zoo (where we met Fiona the Hippo), Skyline Chili, the Skystar Wheel and Graeter's ice cream! DD has mashed since he arrived in the city and currently has 18 homers in the first half of 2019!

I’ve been living in Cincinnati all 18 years I’ve been alive. I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon. I was so happy to see Derek Dietrich coming to Cincinnati, and glad to see he’s found a home here. ❤️

Ive been collecting autographs for 15+ years. Team hotels, outside and inside stadiums all over the country. Many players you get a fake persona on the camera them trying to look good and like-able. This is the Derek you see on AND off the camera 100%. One of the most down to earth, like-able, fun, and genuine players in the game today. Just a guy living the dream and having a blast doing it.

Derek got hurt during his great start last season but he should be healthy now. I think Derek is a blast from what I see in the stands and I look forward to seeing him whenever this season actually starts in Cincinnati. Was thrilled when the Reds brought him back.

I don’t care what anyone says, he’s gotta be the coolest dude in baseball. He’s a cool guy it seems when not playing, but when he’s playing, his swag is just unrivaled. He’s got the charisma that everybody wants to have on the field. As a reds fan, even if you don’t stay with the reds for a long time, I want him to keep staring those homers down, keep wearing the chain, and keep making baseball fun again. But as long as he’s on the reds, I’m gonna keep enjoying all the things he does just a little extra

More people die from a hippo attack every year than any other mammal attack , a very deadly animal ! Cinnamon in gold star chilli , chocolate in skyline's chilli . Black rasberry chip was the ice cream !

This guy is a stud. The Fonzarelli of Major League Baseball. Totally likeable off the field and then mad swagger when on it. But he doesn’t overdue it with this fake machismo like some guys. It’s just smooth.
