As a lifelong Redskins fan, I literally wept with joy after that extra point kick while this played and everyone sang. My whole family sang right along with them....

Seeing the Cowboys so dejected while the entire stadium is roaring “Hail to the Redskins” is such a beautiful sight.

This was one of the last great moments in NFL history. As a Decatur Staleys fan I shed a tear when NBC paused the commentary to let the audience soak in the crowd chanting HTTR, celebrating the fact that they had just clinched a division title for the first time in years and were playoff bound. I was proud to be a lifelong football fanatic that night.

I feel confident saying this is now the iconic Redskins moment of my generation....HTTR!

Who came here to watch this after the Steelers win today? It made me think of this great night. Who remembers the last play of this game - that body slam by London on Romo. God damn I’m not sure I’ve felt this good about our team since this night. HTTR!!!!

Yeah that was awesome. I think they let that happen because of the implications that they most likely were gonna win the game and the division after that score, and with all the disappointments that the Redskins have had over the years they deserved that moment. It was even more sweet when it shot to Tony Romo standing on the sidelines when this was playing lol

There does need to be a slight change to the lyrics - "braves" was fine when the Senators were in the AL and when DC was a secondary home for the Orioles, but your fight song can't give a shout-out to a monstrously hatable division rival (especially since the are "supported" by the Eagles fans of baseball) of your city's team in another sport.
