The king himself, xLetalis. I really hope they will fix undying and hunter instinct perks which are super bugged. I'm even less hopeful that they fix the under powerd perks, but if they did, that would be amazing. What else? Adding new NPC models so you don't recognize the same 2 merchants everywhere?
@@easymode2966 They did indeed fix it. It actually WORKS now and is back for sale on Playstation for PS4 purchase. But it still is nowhere near what was expected. Their update with the police "complete overhaul", melee system overhaul, and new game plus has yet to be released. I have been waiting for that to replay it. I was a little disappointed with the state of game 2 years ago, when it was released.

Even excluding the game in itself and how good it is, one thing I really respect the team at CDPR for, is taking the time to make so many good options and not forcing their preference on all. You can tell the game is made by lots of people who actually play, themselves ❤️ It really goes such a long way for improving the overall enjoyment, while playing and I think they made a positive impact on the entire industry, in this regard.
CDPR is famous for putting out these high quality free updates years after release. They did it for both Witcher 1 and Witcher 2. I have no doubt this will be just as good.

I replayed The Witcher 3 a few times during my wife’s depression. As bad as that time was, me sitting on the couch next to her, while she was reading a book and occasionally commenting on my choices in the game are very warm memories (I was team Yenn and she team Triss). With 600 hours in this game I’m still gonna do another play through.
Playing on PC there was a quick casting mod, essentially binding sign to your desired keys. Combine that with a mouse with a few extra buttons and it quickly became the way to play.
16:40 THANK YOU SO MUCH for the ability to walk slowly again (as well as all the other wonderful fixes). Walking slowly allowed for so much more cinematic gameplay and I REALLY missed it when it was patched out. You guys are the best.

@@davideooo8951 The Witcher 3 is literally my favorite game. But regardless, would it really surprise you if they took inspiration from God of War? Although 2018’s was quite the departure from the camera of earlier titles. The new perspective really works well for what they’re doing. If they used it going forward for the newest Witcher installment, you wouldn’t get any complaints from me.

I've spent more than 3,000 hours of gameplay on this masterpiece and waited over 2 years to have my 10th playthrough with this upgrade and I cannot WAIT. Spent $2k to upgrade my PC so I can experience this again but on Ultra settings. This is truly the best game ever created and a game that helped shaped me into the person I am today. This is a gem and one of a kind and more excited about this upgrade than any other related future installments of this franchise! The W3 also helped me survive through one of the toughest moments of my life and I cannot thank the teams that put so much love and detail into this work that all can be so proud. You've honored Sapkowski's IP and although he may never acknowledge it, you've all done a superb job and I congratulate you all! PS. Thank you for giving us the ability to pause during cut scenes! @@NanocDark99 rdr2 is great but witcher 3 is just better. The music, the wide variety of side quests and stuff to do is way better than rdr2. Not to mention hos and bow is better than rdr2 by themselves. Plus i prefer witcher fantasy setting more.
There is only one contestor, made by CDPR: Cyberpunk 2077. It is the same masterpiece in a dystopian world. I spend so many time in both games (~600 W3 and > 1000 in CP2077) and i cannot wait to spend more hours with Geralt. CDPR are gods in storytelling and worldbuilding.

Quick cast feature is a great idea and will help with the flow of combat, can't wait for this update! I will start my second play through but I haven't played the DLC's plus they are adding content from the show. Christmas really is coming early this year! 😄🤗

Witcher 3 was way ahead of its time. Just like witcher 2 was. When it first launched it was the benchmark for new pc hardware. Can it run Witcher 2, 3 on ultra and get 60 fps or higher ? Lol . With this update it looks absolutely spectacular and I'm so glad I have a beast of a pc that will be able to max it all out
Please add drinking potions and oil animations when applying to the sword. It would bring so much immersion before starting a hunt it would be awesome.
There's a mod named Complete Animations Redux that lets you tweek it. You can deactivate in combat or make the animation run faster. It is super immersive if you played the other games to be able to see Geralt sit down to meditate, drink a potion and rub oil on his sword just before going for a hunt.

What hard work? It looks almost the same when you have the same time and weather conditions shadows and lighting looks the same i just compared xbox last gen version with this performance mode
what a hard job? hmmm let's think… improved graphics, cutscenes, gameplay, hud, additional content. And knowing the Reds is much more ;) Not to mention the problems with changing the executive studio due to the war with Russia. and I forgot to mention that we get all this for FREE for the game, which is 7 years old.

@@MMoer where? Cause i dont see any graphical improvements over last gen version only 60 fps and in case you didnt know raytracing will cost 20 fps at minimum..so even with rt mode it will stay the same only with GI RT and even that rt may be not so good as pc version as it was with metro exodus
Was hoping for a new mesh for character models since that kind of takes you out of the cutscenes...but that being said, HOLY COW the environments look absolutely incredible! So excited to play this masterpiece once again
I wish two of the added features were a fix to Folan’s lore after the Battle of Kaer Morhen, and the possibility to recruit allies from the DLCs for this same battle. Like, Olgierd and his gang, and Palmerin, Damien and some soldiers from Toussaint would do. I’d love Regis too, but he may be too OP for the Hunt.
I think you did a great job. For a free update it's more than some studios have accustomed us with their remasters. Assuming it's not a buggy update that break the game on december 14th 🙂
I'm hoping it will be a new entry in our library and not replace the original version, that would be a disaster..breaking every mod and some people with low end rigs not being able to play any longer.
This game was such a significant milestone in gaming and so important to so many REG gamers in particular when it launched, I cannot wait to devote so much more time to re-experiencing it all again.
I'm so happy about the camera options! My last 2 playthroughs I took my saddlebags off so I would be overencumbered just so my camera would zoom in lol. It was a pain to literally walk everywhere when not using Roach but I really disliked the original camera. Thw new camera is literally a game changer for me thank you!
Focusing on exploration with heavy rpg elements such as the disappearing map, filtered icons, walking by default is moree than I can ever ask. Amazing stuff.
From someone who has played it extensively on Switch, PC, PC with mods, PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5, you really can see the subtle yet big improvements to the visuals and framerate here; yet I'm a bit concerned about the PS5 version since prior versions make use of checkerboarding to hit 4k ... hope it's native this time around because it was very noticeable back then.
At the very least they will use a more modern upscaling technique like TAAU or maybe even FSR 2.1. Edit: so I wrote this before watching the video. Yes FSR 2.1 is supported on consoles.
Native 4k is ressource wasting, especially for the PS5 and Series X. There are great reconstruction and upscaling methods today that there isn't such significant difference to native 4k. Resolution isn't everything. It's how the textures and detail is done. A modern game in 1080p or 1440p can look much sicker than another modern game in 4k.
Questions regarding the Switch Port because that’s all I have: - Will stash be updated so that I don’t have a 30 second lag if I decide to hoard items? - Is Photo Mode going to be added? - Can we have video capture so I can record cool actions or funny glitches? - Motion controls for aiming cross bow? - Unreachable loot fixes? - more than 8 save slots? - increased map marker limits? - are cross saves including Switch too?

@@PrivateTouch Injected SSRTGI doesn't even compare to actual RTX rendering....actually utilizes the RT cores unlike SSRTGI which just brute forces it. I've been modding Witcher 3 since launch and the lighting in the remaster looks so much cleaner than all the visual mods combined. Looks more like the Sword of Destiny e3 trailer, pre-downgrade
That the camera is similar to the one in the first The Witcher is one of the details that I really appreciate because is nostalgic for all of us who played the first game in 2007, and I think new players will love it because it makes the game a little bit more challenging. Thanks, CDProjekt RED.

I'll never forget when I got the game at midnight release in 2015, opened the case and saw the "dear gamer" note in there.. I looked at my dad and said "CDPR will be one of the best around" Now here we are!! Love you all so much thanks for the memories and bringing a great franchise so far !
@NelyL have you missed its revival? The game was fixed a while ago, and edgerunners brought in more players than ever. Its a good game, definitely not a failure. A failure would be the new saints roe

@NelyL it wasn't a failure. Its been financially successful. Sure it wasn't what it could've been but it wasn't bad and they haven't abandoned the franchise.
I have never completed the original game let alone the two DLCs. Now owning and having a PS5, its good time to start fresh and truly enjoy the proper The Witcher 3 as it meant to be. Also can't wait for future Witcher title running on Unreal Engine 5!
Alternate Controls, Alternate Camera, Alternate Hud/Navigation, Quickcast, Decluttered map filters are HUGE changes. It's the sort of stuff that can drastically change every second of the gameplay experience for those on consoles/no mods. Way more than I expected already.
Love you grandma :(. I remember when you bought me peach soda and Witcher 3. I'll forever miss you. I wish I could play this but unfortunately life's led me to a path without you where I'm homeless. But I'm glad this game still gets the love it respects at least. Rip grandma and thank you for everything.
Let's hope they add the hood and cape, and also add a wardrobe transmog system. Being able to switch the look of your gear would be pretty dope, plus geralt won't look like a clown wearing different set pieces. There are so many good sets but you can't use them because they are no longer good when you are in the mid-late game.
This is a minor nitpick and those who know, know...But i wonder if they managed to fix the meshes on some of the armors specifically the Wolf school armors collar. In the vanilla game Geralts chin/beard would clip through the collar and be pretty annoying and immersion breaking
I like all the improvements but I wish they would have implemented something to keep us from spending so much time in the menu looking through Potions, Oils, and Decoctions. Maybe they could have implemented a pop up menu with recommended Potions, Decoctions, and Oils for enemy types you are about to fight and you could apply the recommendations if you have some on your inventory without pausing and opening the menu.
The alternate mode for sign casting is awesome. I rarely switched from a mele + quen build because of the awkwardness with switching signs during combat but now I am excited to try a sign build. Similarly, will there be an alternate mode for using potions/decoctions? There are many good potions but it can be difficult to use more than two during combat when you have to hold the button to swap to the alternate set of potions. It would be cool if there was an alternate method of using 5 potions like the 5 signs. Much love and appreciate this amazing free update for this amazing game.
They didn’t spoke about everything. There’s thousands of changes. For example just one single mod “HD rework by Halk Hogan” - check it out. Then hundreds of fixes, other mods adapted, photo mode, all modern graphical features like ray tracing, ssao, reflections, ui improvements, gameplay improvements. Game engine updates, new stuff related to Netflix show, new missions, new voice lines done by original actors. Better animations, improved meshes. What more did you expect?
Same here, I was expecting a bit more gameplay oriented changes. For example: interacting with Fast Travel signspost on Roach, smoother climbing mechanics, improved horseback fighting/steering, fast travel point in crow's perch etc. Also some unfinished bonus content would be nice, like the Baron Questline where you can visit Anna and Baron in Skellige after she's (hopefully) healed :)
@@axiimoron8417 Few of those things would simply break the game, like for example it’s a bit short minded to expect fast travel point in crow’s perch while mission with wildfire starts there too, would completely break it, and it’s really not far from bridge… Choices had to be made and they chose correctly by sticking loyal to original, making too much changes in would upset players that enjoyed the gameplay as is, and that’s majority of us. They’ve already put quite some alternative options like quick sign casting or different camera modes + they didn’t told everything, so expect a bit more than was revealed.

Looks like a great update! One minor tweak for someone with a visual impairment would be percentage based HUD scaling. Already loving the larger subtitles tho!

I might do my next playthrough with no map or mini map, at least for the base game. I know my way around Velen and Novigrad like the back of my hand, but literally getting lost in these worlds makes them feel so much larger sometimes.
It would be cool if you could add music from thronebreaker into this update. Some of the trakcs would fit perfectly and add in more variation, breathing new life into the game and enhancing the already phenomenal soundtrack.
it looks the exact same ,the lighting etc ,you couldnt update it ro cyberpunk graphcis at least and let us customize the Hud if we want the mini map at the bottom for more immersion
Yes yes yes! I’ve been wanting the cutscene pause feature since day one! It was pretty jarring going from having this feature in Witcher 2 to not having it in Witcher 3. The quick cast feature sounds like a solid improvement, I almost never used the radial wheel for signs anyway just the d-pad and parry button. Camera options look like a nice touch too. That was a feature I loved from RDR2 and it’s nice seeing it in Witcher 3

I still feel this is the best game ever made, period. And then, it's even better if you consider this is the most fair experience vs how much it cost. Its everything perfect, the game and the context. Cuantity, Cuality, Size, Length, Density, Music, Ambiance and price.
So at the end of this stream in the trailer bit there are scenes from Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine, meaning that even the expansions had the next gen update.
1st of all thank you guys soo much for your work, Witcher 3 is also my favorite game of all time but on 19:26 - easy way of pausing in cutscenes is by using alt + tab
Damn!!! This update actually has some new meaningful gameplay feature like close view camera, photo mode and quick spell cast rather than just half baked graphical changes. And the best part is it’s not an either or situation, these changes are not forced so you can still choose to play it as originally intended.
As someone who has over 10,000 hrs+ of playtime on The Witcher 3, I can't wait for the update, so I can try the new features and make it feel like a brand new game. This game is very special to me, as it was a game I played while my late wife watched alongside me. It is my favourite game of all time, and holds a special place in my heart. Thank you. 👏🤟
@@LegsON 10,000hrs over 7 years = 4hrs average a day. I'm actually closer to 11,000 now. No modlist, as I played it on PS4 when it was first released. Now, I play it on PS5, and with the next gen update, the experience will be even better. As I'm disabled, console and controller is far more ergonomic and accessible for my needs. 😉

@@shinukisan2222 Relatable tbh. I've done well over 10 playthroughs because it's my comfort game, a major help when I became disabled and modding the game is also a ton of fun.
Does anyone happen to know if they've mentioned anything about the pre rendered cutscenes being replaced? I'm sure there's a full list of changes out there that I am too lazy to find myself. But those moments were immersion breaking when Ciri suddenly appears in the default outfit or the sound seems to be too low and subtitles appear hardcoded.
You added support for new language ? Thats huge props for you guys, it must have took a hundreds hours and its for free. Amazing, simply beautiful. Cant wait for that release.
