why the ellipsoid we disregard the (-) sign so it becomes (x,y,z) from h,k,l , meanwhile the last one we take into account the (-) I still don't understand that part.
It's good as far as it goes and I love your videos, but I wish that you would add the procedure for drawing these figures, like finding the intercepts, etc. So we would both be able to identify the figure from the equation and know how to draw it.
This doesn't show how to eliminate xy yz and yz to make a new form. Could you please upload this one? A*x^2+B*x+C*y^2+D*y+E*z^2+F*z+G*x*y+H*y*z+I*x*z+J=0?
I'm having trouble writing the equation on a quadric surface that is defined as having the same distance from a point, P (-1,0,0) and the plane x=1. I know that it's a parabaloid centered on the x-axis in the negative direction. Any suggestions?
thank you so much!! My lecturer taught this part perfunctorily so i couldn't even understand a bit before watching your videoo :(( Hate Vietnamese Universities :(((
Sketching the other 3 quadric surfaces would be more instructive. American 🏈 is an ellipsoid. What is a metallic fuel tank with two elliptical bases called?
